LMS Royal Scot Class No. 46100 Royal Scot would make a return to the south to take charge of the second of many 'Golden Arrow' excursions to Canterbury for Saphos Trains.
The fairly regular itinerary sees diesel haulage from various starting points (in this case Bristol) to haul the passengers to Hanwell, where steam is attached for the run to Canterbury and back. Running around 20 minutes early, and fitted with Golden Arrow regalia, 'The Scot' is seen powering up Bickley bank to the surprise of a few locals. Originally the train was routed through Platform 2, but with the early running it was routed through 4, resulting in a different shot than I originally had planned.
