Glad that you are trying to make something work! Radio Melee is incredible, and I hope to see it continue in some form. If it doesn't, that's fine too. But glad the show is getting some deserved love
it's frustrating because GG was my favorite team, and this seems totally out of their control. I hope we get a spiritual successor to Radio Melee and all the other GG content
I’m with you on that. Not gonna lie this is pretty sad. GG was one of the most optimistic things imo about the melee scene going forward, even more so after Summit. If the melee community collectively were personified into an single man, his would be the story of a mortal who was shown a horrible, unchangeable future by some dark entity, a future he never should have seen. But to this future, he said ‘no.’ He goes on to fight against fate itself, nearly bringing the very universe to heel. He won victory after victory in his war against destiny, and for a long time things were good. His passion was so powerful, his fire burned so bright, that he made gods kneel and devils cower. But this could not last. In the end, the universe slowly stopped moving-star after star, light after light, life after life winked out all across the vast cosmos. In the end, the Man sat on a dead moon in the center of all that once was, watching the last light of the universe’s last star fade from sight. He did all he could have, all anyone could have. But in the end, the future refused to change.
I'm fond of Fourside Fights as far as far as podcast style melee content. Of course, it's not really going for the same kind of format or style as Radio Melee at all, but it's worth a shoutout imo

My content desire: One of my favorite things is how characters played by different people have unique 'styles'. I'd love a video where you try to guess who people are by watching a video or even the reverse, taking a known player and showing what makes their version of the character unique. I look forward to anything you do next.

You might consider doing some "Strategy Building Blocks" videos that tell people different options for engaging an opponent. Good luck PP, absolutely loved radio melee, hoping to see you continue that podcasting journey, as I'm not really a melee "player," but loved hearing you guys talk about your approaches and thoughts on things in competing, as I thought they applied to a multitude of esports I'm into, on top of melee
An idea i think would be cool to explore is having a raffle or a higher tier in your patreon coaching and making it into like a documentary following say a 6 month period of you coaching them and improving. I personally would be very invested in a series about you helping an up and coming player take it to the next level or even a mid level local player finally getting some local PR wins. Watching someone get better and go through the ups and downs of competition is very compelling. Logistically the challenge would be getting slippi files or vods of a majority if not all of the players tournament sets for that period and some live reaction shots and interview sections. If this could be done I truly believe this would be a huge hit and the next evolution of melee content, we all love melee docs and tutorials and this would be the best of both with added drama and viewer investment in the story.
You will do great wherever you end up! Loved watching the GG Melee content, and I hope you guys continue to collaborate in some form when it comes to your own content.

I only recently came across the GG videos ( like in the past 2 days!) and got pretty hooked. I've been watching lots of the game show and other vids as I am home sick with a cold. wow, pretty amazing that you guys were profitable! melee is a small but strong community. best of luck moving forward pp. i'll be keeping a lookout for whatever you're putting out! i feel like instructional content is consistently popular in melee, but obviously there's a lot of dated stuff out there aimed at brand new players. with your knack for teaching and such anyway, it'd be cool if you could do something aimed at intermediate players but still presented in that same approachable style that the more popular melee guides are known for. Maybe something like: Almost Everything You Can Do With Falco's Down Air Or something like that. Just covering a single move in hideous detail, accounting for character match-ups, stages, etc. It could be instructively useful and maybe offer some neat trivia for people who just like watching/knowing things about the game

A content idea that I have would be to talk about/analyze specific fundamental skills that go into playing Melee at a high level. Much of Melee's educational content focuses on particular interactions, but it would also be helpful for many people if someone were to go in-depth into bigger-picture ideas (spacing, timing, punish, neutral, matchup knowledge, vod reviewing, movement, mentality, etc.) Wishing you and the team the best
I think your insight is some of the best! You should do a series where you analyze recent majors top 8, etc and explain sick tech done by the top players

I've watched you when I first came into melee back in 2014 before GG so you'll always have my support as I'll support Toph, Amsa, None, and HMW. Its been a shitty few months for the scene but we always seem to make it out of the dark tunnel we constantly find ourselves in. Stay strong and Positive everyone. Video ideas: play styles of different characters! This could just be like "here's the 6 types of falcos on unranked, and how to beat them" or something simple. Maybe this idea will spawn better ones.
In terms of ideas for content ideas, I think some kind of Radio Melee equivalent would be great. A sort of pod-casty way to talk about the scene and interact with the community is great, so if you could think of a way to recapture that I’d personally encourage it.
I really would love to see you Toph, amsa, none, waffles, zain, all of you on your own community channel. I know you’d have a great following. We all loved melee on the street, radio melee, i personally loved your adventure mode. Content for here maybe just collaborating with other melee players! I wanna see you and m2k play some stuff, I always see him playing something other then smash on stream. The list is endless to what you could do! Really look forward to the future
Saw the post on Reddit and it was sadly true . I only found you guys recently and it’s been some of my favorite content on RU-vid. PP is probably my favorite melee player along with Zain and I remember the marth round table being so cool. Thanks so much for the great content and good luck with your futures.
Sad to see a chapter end but happy to see you're as driven as always to move forward! I was surprised to hear that GG Melee was profitable in the world of different esports teams being unprofitable. If that is something you can or would be interested in talking more the details about I would find that very interesting!
Going forward I'd love to see you replicate radio melee with your own format. I'd love to see a lot of the GG shows adapted tbh, it was really fun variety melee content.
As for new content from you, I'd personally enjoy VOD reviews. Give us your perspective/review on high profile recent matches with Falco/Marth players, using them as a teaching tool. It would also be fun for you to go back and give us your side of the story on previous classic PP matches.

I think it would be cool to see some match analysis videos of high profile matches (for example the Cody vs zain match). You did something similar at one of the Ludwig events and thought it was great, would like to see more of that!

One thing I've been wondering about is other top players perspectives on Llods document on improving, and the golden pathway. Would be interesting to see content around that
Hey PP! I've been a fan of you and your playstyle ever since I picked up the bird back in 2009! As far as content I would like to see from you... have you heard of Day9? He is a variety gamer now afaik, but back in ~2009-10 he was putting out the Day9 Daily, which was some really excellent educational content for Starcraft II. I think you have said on several occasions that you have a leaning toward educational content, and I know that I would really enjoy and benefit from a similar series from you that not only gives specific advice on solving in game situations, but helps build the mental framework for solving problems both during and after the game.
Marth matchup guides!! I think it’ll help a lot of low-mid level Marths like myself, plus i think it’s content that will help get new players in. I think you’re in a cool spot where Marth and Falco are probably the 2 most popular characters for those just picking up Slippi so I think character guides would be awesome
radio melee was as close to a perfect format and cast as you could have for a show like that, thankfully yall have been hard at work and there is an infinite amount of content left to stroll through for me
Dang, it's so sad to see GG go. For the future, I think bringing back the educational melee videos would be nice. They don't need to be daily uploads, but there are definitely people who would appreciate them. Personally, I've only been playing competitive melee for a year but watching those videos really helped improved my punish game and neutral game as well as expanded my understanding of certain matchups. A pice of melee content I’ve been wanting for a really long time is a Pogchamps style event where top played teach streamers for a certain amount of time and then they play a tournament
It would be interesting if you were able to do of the crash course style of videos like the ones that GG was doing. Like a Luigi one with someone like Eddy Mexico would be sweet

I think a series analysis of top games between top players where, instead of, commentating the gameplay, you talk about what people’s game plan, or ideas during the match are.
So sorry to hear this news. Companies and organizations disbanding (or simply losing a good job) is never fun, and I hope you all find your footing asap
This, on top of the other recent events, is sad frustrating news for the melee community. But I have full confidence that we'll get through this. Melee didn't get this far by corporate allowance, it's been a long slow process of people getting together to play and support each other. There's genuine enthusiasm for this game that will keep people talking about it and wanting to see more of it. So keep playing some melee, meet up with some peeps at your locals, and ignore the haters (Nintendo). The only reason they're trying so hard to make this game unviable to show off online is because there's a large consistent community of people who will arrive to support the game. Good luck to the Golden Guardians crew, I hope everyone lands on their feet from this. The pieces are still there from Golden Guardians, it's just up to us as a community to start rebuilding and supporting whatever comes next.
would love to see you collab with others in the scene like jackzilla or walt! I think if you stream consistently and offer something like (paid) coaching, sub tournaments etc while staying relevant in the sphere by working with other creators. Theres also a lot of nostalgia with old tourneys, if you're out of ideas for a stream don't be afraid to just react to old sets with chat... always rooting for u PP :3
