Don’t miss Good Eats: The Return’s 1-hour Halloween special, The House That Dripped Chocolate, October 8 at 9 pm EST on Food Network. I suggest you find a blanket to hide under…
In case anyone was wondering.... the original York peppermint patty design is one of the oldest existing designs on a candy bar wrapper. It was the brain child of one Albert Posner. He entered his cursive writing of YORK in a contest soooo many years ago and won. Since then it has not changed. He was also a sniper in America’s armed forces during WWII. What an awesome guy. I miss him, and thought you all should know a little bit about him.
Absolutely freaking awesome.. I saw the hand sanitizer episode you did that caused such a fuss before you took it off RU-vid. Wish you would do that again. You're awesome Alton! Looking forward to all you past and future episodes but especially this promos episode . Thank you Sir!
Oh man. I'm creeped out! But in a good way. The trailer was spot on like a Clue Movie. I can't wait to watch the new episode. Alton, you never disappoint. 😎
Holy crap this looks so cool!! I hope the Food Network is kind enough to have it available in Canada for Halloween this year too! 🤞🤞🤞 Really wish my dad was still alive so i could watch it with him since he's how i discovered "Good Eats", plus we both used to watch horror movies together (and say wildly inappropriate zingers about each victims' death 😂) so this episode would've been like combining two of our favourite things. When i watch it, he'll definitely be on my mind. ❤
Alton, thank you for entertaining us as you shared some great recipes. Everyone else announces ingredients and recites next steps. Everyone else is the same old - filming in bright light - wearing witches hats and decorating their sets with the expected Halloween decor. Guiding the camera down the table of beverages, foods and spooktacular decorations. Yawn. Then there's you - innovative, entertaining, cerebral, dry-witted. G-d I miss seeing you regularly on a series. I recently found myself watching a salad dressing commercial all the way through, just to catch a glimpse of you. Don't worry - I can't stalk you - I'm stuck inside, with the pandemic guarding the door! Seriously, thank you for providing a fresh approach to candy-making. Your quirky way of showing us consistency will stay with me - longer than that plastic bag of the ball of peppermint candy will stay with you!
Just watched this last night and have to say, just awesome. it was the perfect mix of spooky 👻 and kooky 🤣. with all the covid stuff canceling Halloween 🎃 its good to see AB is to the rescue. Thank you AB!!!!
This looks soooooo good! Can't wait. Will the follow-up be a Christmas special based on Dickens? Alton is visited by the ghosts of quarantine Past, Present and Future.... well, except the last two ghosts are really the same one. And the ghost of quaranntine past is REALLY into sourdough starter (but that's another show).
So good. Even your trailers are genius. Ive seen you on QQ though. You dont seem like a genius....do you lose use of it when youre not doing Good Eats? I kid, i kid. Looks amazing, Mr Brown. Cant wait.
