In so many ways an E-bike is superior when it comes to safety, handling, practicality - but admit it, NOTHING puts a silly grin on your face better than a good, fast E-scoot. It feels like flying :)

Good review Ben as ever. Well one good thing about this phantom menace is that you don't have to be looking over your shoulders for coppers ( unless you stop turning the crank on auto setting) .... Within regulation so e-scooters need to get regulated sharpish also!!!! Ride safe dude!!

Lovely video!, after riding scooters and segways for about 2 years. I found out an ebike and I'm loving it as you do. If i can sugest you, you can review the qicycle... is the m365 of the ebikes (much better quality and better components); but only have assisted pedaling and nothing else. I got myself a korean version thats discontinued but has belt drive instead of chain, so no grease at all.

I ride both. Scooter in the Summer, e-bike in the Winter. The scooter is more fun, but the larger wheels on the bike just feel more safe during the rainy months.

Nice video ones again man 👍. At this point I rather cycle whit my normal bicycle, and have fun whit my onewheel (when ever it would not rain 😅). But I totally see why people get those, and it is good that there are e-bikes as well. You don't have to sweat so much, as for riding a normal bike it might happen. And because some people would not ride any bike's if not for a e-bikes. That thing looks huge to take whit you in to the shop, to get milk or so... But time to time I think onewheel is huge for going in and out from a shop. All in all that looks like quite fun little thing to ride

I just got the fiido d3s and love it a lot more than I thought I would after riding mountian bikes for years paid £400 for it with a coupon ( on my review ) The 6 gears are very useful, I put a big Spring jell seat on it and it's comfy now too.

I think in that weight/carryability range an escooter would have suspension and tons more speed and power. Something like a zero 9x or zero 10x. But I get that you are exploring UK "legal" transport options (ignoring that this bike is not quite legal anyway...) 😯 Personally I love my Zoom Stryder EX (with a 40% power increase mod). It is so light and folds so compact to put in a shopping trolley etc. Easy carry and compactness is very valuable, unless you need a bigger machine for long commutes.

Ben, can you recommend a scooter for me? I have the zero 8x, but local government(spain) has regulated that a scooter mustn't go above 30km/h. Even though you can restrict them, they only care about the original spec. What I'm looking for is something that goes maximum 30km/h but has some real power behind it for fast acceleration and comfort as well (dual suspension) Your advice will be much appreciated.

Everything he does especially the scooters are technically illegal because the old law from the 1800s (pretty sure they never were talking about e bikes and scooters) Tons of people in the UK have them but police don't care as long as you're really being unlawful (but like breaking a law on a bike you can ride it but if you're riding it wrecklessly you're gonna get in trouble) If you're worried just use pedal assist only and you'll never get into trouble

Brompton best choice for fold up bike because they fold in thirds with patent and do electric model. Most others fold in half.

Love my Chinese no-name E-MTB - use it as a commuter on the awful roads here - suspension and pedal-assist on huge hills FTW...... just be prepared to swap a couple of the cheapest components - like the awful plastic pedals with bearings that seem to be made out of butter that last about 50km till useless :)

The only problem with escooters vs ebikes for me is the weight. When u commute in NYC like me and an elevator or escalator is out...( Which is a regular occurrence) and I have to carry whatever Im taking its much easier and less bulky carrying a 40lb scooter vs a 50-70lb bulky bike. And for this idiots who accuse me of cheating with an ebike I usually ask them if they drive a car or a bicycle. When they say the drive I tell them all I do is ride an ebike...no car. So when they give up their car they can accuse me of cheating.

I use my normal bike in the winter, my es2 only comes out in the dry. People you need to learn how to ride an e scooter, they take some getting used too and ride completely different from other modes of transport, it took me almost 8 months to feel confident on mine, people who rush in and end up in hospital give them a bad name

Rode a prodecotech Outlaw ebike for years. 28 mile an hour rear hub motor throttle only. Got tired of it was looking to get a class 3 ,full suspension, mid Drive high-end e-bike but the prices were too ridiculous. Once I got my first e-scooter a Speedway 4 Pro I was hooked. Then I bought a dualtron Ultra👍. When it comes to the fun Factor there's no comparison. I'll never go back to an e-bike👍✌

The Lectric XP fat tire folding ebike is $1,000 right now (it was $899 when I bought it earlier in the pre sale) and it goes 28 mph (45 km/h) with 25-50 miles of range (depending on pedal assist) and with throttle only it's still faster than this bike and its worth the extra money for it imo (it's a great value). It comes equipped with everything you need (even free panniers when you use coupons) but I still haven't recieved my bike because the pre order is at least a 2 month wait. Yes. They will eventually be making e scooters legal ( up to 15mph) but? You must wear a helmet ⛑, and with lights plus a visa yellow vest. They are legal in America and Israel

Yes you can. Order it from AliExpress, there is tons of options, plus if they won't be able to deliver it to you in 60 days - you'll get your money back. But why the world you would want something like this?!! You can order a unicycle from ewheels, something like Kingsong 18XL, or even Gotway Monster... Unicycle is better in every way, than any other things that people use to ride. The feeling is incredible! The range on a single charge is over 100 kilometers, and the speed can go up to 50, or in case of Monster, up to 80 kilometers per hour. You don't need to fold and unfold it every time. It is easy to store under your table at the office, or anywhere at home.

It is cool and fun for kids maybe, but in real life how this is better option than electric unicycle? Unicycle is better in every way possible, longer mileage, nova days it can get over 200 kilometers on single charge or 80-100 kilometers on average wheels. Unicycle is much more compact and far easier to transport it. Unicycle top speed can go up to 80 km/hour, or 40-50 on average wheels. Unicycle is easier to ride in busy streets and around big group of people. You don't need to fold and unfold unicycle, just close and open pedals if you wish. Unicycle rides uphill like charm. And you always have your hands free, so you can do many things on the go.

The issue I have with this is that it’s really too cheap to be a good idea. The components are so low level and will need a lot of maintenance. They won’t last long. And the folding mechanism is so bad that you can’t take it anywhere without it being a bit of a struggle. Whereas the Brompton electric has high quality components, will last, folds really small and would be easier to take on the tube or more places like that. It’s 2 grand more, but if you’re going to ride to work every day, it’s still pretty affordable overall. And you’ll enjoy the nicer quality bike every day.
