hey , ben i just wanted to ask you about certificate , can u get certificate by doing the course free and get it by paying , or you have to attempt the paid course and then pay extra for certificate , pls if possible explain me in reply , thanks in advance

There is no guarantee even if you go to college that you gonna get job on your first interview . It’s all about your skills and how you solve the problems they give you to test your knowledge. Everything comes with tons of practice and practices. And google doing amazing job to build your good foundation. I am taking both courses IT Automation with python and IT professional certificate both courses are amazing.

I would like to know what is the different between the two certification, Google Professional IT Certification and Google Professional IT Python Automations Certification is one better/advance than other?

@@DON28ist The Professional IT Support Certificate gets you into troubleshooting stuff. Someone in your organization needs their password reset or one of the printers has become possessed again. But it also includes additional material like how to build a computer, as well as Powershell, bash, and network configuration. If you're looking for a tier 1 help desk position, it can get you there, even if you have no other experience or qualifications. The Python course, which I haven't tried yet, seems to be geared more towards actually writing code and programming in Python.

@@TheDisBeat I did. I've been out of college for 10 years, but I actually never graduated. Long story. Going from getting the certificate to getting a career took about a month. I used the resources provided at the end of the certificate. I got a few people to review my resume with me. I set up LinkedIn, Indeed, Career Circle, and Big Interview. While I had downtime during my retail work, I spammed applications out. I also did a few of the skills assessments. I will admit, I probably sent out about 20 applications, and only received one positive response, but that was all I needed. I'm not gonna say luck wasn't involved, but it can be done. I was actually planning to start this cert while continuing to spam applications if things hadn't gone well in my interview.

@@TheDisBeat In my opinion you won't wont find a job with just certificates, especially if you don't have a college degree, I recommend doing your best learning every python programming tutorial, once you fully learn it, my brother who is an automation engineer making 150k a year told me this code, compile, code compile, once you do that on a daily basis, work on projects, try learning web development and create your own website, create an application that has user login and accounts, then make a project that incorporate things like google maps, and other outside applications. Because at the end of the day showing certificates in your resume won't get you a job, there are wayyyyy more people with more things on their resume. Also all these tips come from my brother, I'm trying my best following it.

Planning on switching my career, wondering if I know nothing about IT this is a good program to start or use the fundamental IT website you talked about in prior videos. I know you said In this video this is great for beginners but as perspective I never went to college for It or anything like that. Sorry for the lengthy Comment lmao

I completely disagree with him about this certificate program being for beginners as well. You should first learn about Linux OS and its command line tools, some networking knowledge and finally study some Python basic concepts to prepare yourself before this certificate program. If you want to work in IT, you should have a strong foundation in Linux OS, networking and Python or another similar coding language. Everything in IT are based on these three and you will understand other stuff with ease. I hope this helps you and wish you the best of luck in your new IT career.

My question is since the course is seperately into 6 will you get a certificate for each one completed or you have to complete all 6/6 to get that one certificate? Thanks

If you complete all the courses, you will get an additional certificate stating you have completed all the courses and the names will be also there(A specialization Certificate)

Hey Ben! Thank you for theses videos. I'm a beginner with no prior knowledge and I'm just wondering if I can complete the course before the stated duration? For example, can i access week 3 or 4 topics when I'm still on 1st week even though i have completed week 1 lessons, quizzes? Would appreciate to hear from you! :)

These courses are completely at your own pace, the faster you finish then the following courses unlock. You just past the test at the end of each "week" in order to proceed. Very simple and straight forward.

I tried this program and I think it's a pretty terrible explanation on programming. If you get stuck there really isn't anyone to help you. I have talked to many others and none of them could get past the first section due to not understanding the language and there really isn't much help.

I signed up for both and dropped out of Python 4 weeks in. It’s not for Beginners at all. It’s definitely for someone who is very proficient in other Script languages. IT support is detailed and it’s easy to cram weeks worth of modules in one week. Sometimes I’m able to do a full week in one night. Do have a notebook tho. That’s my biggest help.
