I like this over the 3 way personally. The tripod is more stable. However the 3 way extends longer and you can do more with it. So depends on what you need it for.

Diy project. Buy griptape, stick it to handle, cut excess grip. Skate shops sell sticky griptapes

I agree when I first Review this product I was a little hesitant but it has quickly become my most used accessory. I wish they would drop it by even $10 that would make it a great value

Yes indeed

No not really it’s very stable when sitting as a tripod and not heavy to hold it all. I agree it is a little overpriced. However I do use mine quite a bit it’s a nice simple accessory when just out filming random stuff. If you search on Amazon I do believe there are some cheaper alternatives that are similar. But I have not use them personally so I can’t really vouch for the quality.

Do you pick up the noises when you grab the selfie stick? Or maybe if you extend the selfie stick you don't hear these noises?

I find as long as you hold the handle firmly there is no noise transferred. It’s when you start moving your hand sliding around the handle that the vibrations can be picked up by the very sensitive microphones

@@AirPhotography Thanks a lot, I am using pixi (manfrotto) and it picks up some noise, with a longer selfie stick, it is all good though. Maybe also if the handle is made in rubber it wouldn't pick noise. And maybe with the last gopro 7 or the next mode 8, will be fine... They might add external feature...

+leftos asim I think it’ll work well with the fusion. But if I’m not mistaken the fusion will be coming bundled with its own handle that is a little bit different/larger

Yes it can be used in the water. Well I have anyways. If you use it in salt water just rinse it thoroughly afterwards and let it dry completely

Plastic. Wear makes it loose and does not stay extended. Very poor quality. IMO

Yes you can. It’s just a good idea however, if using it in salt water to rinse it with fresh water when you’re out. Just keep in mind it’s not a floating grip so if you happen to drop it, it will sink.

yes, its as waterproof as plastic gets. I also have a 3 way, and I find I use this one more mostly due its compact size.

No the Shorty does not float

If you take it in salt water definitely rinse it off well when you’re done and let it dry

The frame comes with the GoPro not the shorty accessory

Yes for some simple of vlogging the handle gives you that nice extra reach that you need without being too big and clunky

Making videos and buying gopro gear can be an expensive endeavor for sure 😯

I wonder if it’s to do with the new 360 fusion coming in November. I wonder if a larger thumbscrew would somehow be in view When it’s being stitched

I haven’t had any problems with mine except for the noise transfer as you mentioned but I have experiences with almost every handle I have used. As long as you try not to move your hand around too much it’s not too bad

Any solution for the extension collapsing under the weight of the camera?
