I was totally skeptical about this thing, I have a Jobi tripod and a 3-way but you convinced me...storing it attached and just take it with you is perfect!

I have it. The biggest problem is that is really noisy. You have to hold it without moving your fingers or hand.

Thank you very much for this one, just what i looked for! I'm out for the Shorty or the 3-way. You made me decide! I will do fine with the the shorty and the Flexible Clamp/Grip that i allready have. By the way, cool to see that we share the quality time with RV'ing!

Good review. I think they should remake this, except make it 1 inch longer. That was the handle is slightly longer and it would extend a few inches more.

I just got it so I can't really say much about it but I had problems fitting my black 7 frame on it. It's just really tight and I still can't turn it to another angle

hey, kyle! thanks for the review! i was frustrated which stick should i get. may i ask what was ur watermark bottom right? because my logo made by 1000px*1000px 72dpi with png saved, but it isn't clean look as ur brandlogo.

So I had this but returned it due to the plastic slide sound in videos. Took the float grip with me to Vegas, and it worked but I wish I’d had the extension, plus that extra bulk does make a difference trying to get footage in planes, taxis etc. so I’m thinking of getting the shorty again, but maybe adding some grip tape to the handles ? 🤔

I have one but I am very disappointed with the connection between the shorty and the gopro frame, seems it was pourly manufactured as it does not seem to fit. Its annoying as I really thought it would be very useful. Currently waiting for a response from Gopro. Great video though.

I've got one and I like it much. However, you can't leave behind the so called noise it makes while you move /keep it in your hand. Anyway, it is worth the money.

That noise is super annoying. And the camera weight makes it collapse after a few minutes when extended. Crap product

does the shorty take the friction noise away from its handle? so far every accessory I use doesn't seem to be effective. my footages are all noisy and just.. disgusting,

no the shorty is useless because when you move you hand at all the mic picks up a plastic echoing sound when your hand moves around the grip. The grip should be made of rubber and not slippy plastic..

My concern with it is that if you hang on to the grip and adjust your hand grip (for whatever reason), will that plasticky sound transmit up to the GoPro's mics? That sound really annoys me and takes away from the feel of the footage you're shooting. I know it does with the 3-way that I currently use, and so I've devised a different way to use it so that there's no plastic-gnashing noise travelling up to the microphones. It works pretty well with my Rode VideoGo and the GoPro mic adapter.

It does.. I'm trying to research to see if anyone else is experiencing this. Looking for a resolution, maybe grip tape of some sort.

buy a microphone with it's wind sound protector connector 3.5 mm audio connector around $160

The grip should be made of rubber and not slippy plastic.. i tried wrapping socks around the handgrip with elastic to try deaden the sound but cant get rid of it.. Is there any other grip which make no noise? maybe the floaty one?
