I really don't understand the obsession with Gordon, Gakpo started the season as a midfielder, played as a false 9, played as a winger a few times, but was mostly used for rotation, despite all of that (only playing 1650 minutes or 18 games btw) he still racked up 8 goals and 5 assists in the PL. Play on the left permanently and i have no doubt he can easily gets the 10-15 goals you'd expect from a winger, maybe more if he has a top season like Mané had. Ederson is not even a pure 6 either, he's actually more of a box to box, i understand people are excited because Atalanta won EL but the system was completely different too, they were playing counter attacking football. That's literally Manchester United type of transfer window people are talking about, not buying players we need in position we need, but names that look good for social media interaction...

I think it’s a misconception that Gordon "Forced" himself out of Everton. He admitted as much on the overlap. He said he wanted to go, but Everton desperately needed to sell him. Everton spun it in their favour blaming Gordon to turn the attention away from them. 💯

Why not sell both salah and Diaz. You get Williams and Gordon with that money. Calafori and a dm. With the money we have saved with Thiago of the books and Matip as well probably get kimmich for 40 million. Ederson looks slow. His robust in his challenges and puts himself about which is great, but we already have Endo who is slow when chasing down players and with his closing speed, I don't think you want that in a 6 if that is going to be your signing for that position for the next 5+ years and big money signing as well. For now I'd stick with Endo unless we can absolutely get a player that does have the key attribute. Players like Tchouameni, Camavinga are so much quicker - perhaps unavailable maybe not - but I'd much rather wait for that kind of talent than spend big on a 6 that ticks some of the boxes.

We know LFC weakness is Left side defensively , a Midfielder who as a very good left foot, but equally he as a good right foot, a player who uses both feet, and when I say both feet, neither is weak. Ferdi Kadıoğlu, plays Left side defensive MF , LB , CM, CB,right wing even. Forget Ederson or Calfouri, this lad is head and shoulders above any player that as been discussed. LFC will lose out to Arsenal or Chelsea, Man United.. Forget talking GAPKO or DIAZ, they are here, its about what this team needs and that is Ferdi Kadıoğlu

Even if Díaz goes, Gakpo has to be our main left winger/ left mid. I’d much rather sign a young right winger that can play on the left if needs be but is a Salah understudy sorta thing

Trent is Salah's replacement, when Trent was at his best at a rb he was basically playing as a right winger anyway just move him permanently further up the pitch to supply the likes of Nunez, jota and Gakpo from the right flank
