I've been a pornogrind fan for years and a lot of people take it too seriously. It's literally meant to just be as sick and gross as you can be and just laugh about it. It's just meant to be as gruesome as you possibly can be and just have fun. No true PG find would take anything in the genre seriously.

In the MySpace days, there was a pretty active grind/goregrind/pornogrind/loligrind/cybergrind scene, I was part of it, and bands would do splits and help each other out and promote each other on e-labels. It was cool time to be making music. and I wish that still kind of existed, seemed like when MySpace died, so did that whole group of bands. It's misunderstood but it was fun to make and share.

The way you opened the show, I expected disgusting imagery. Like Filthy Frank levels. I didn't see a damn thing creepy or gross.

I'm glad I found this episode. Recently I've been digging deeper into this kind of hardcore music and now I have at least 10 new bands I can check out.

I grew up on bands like CBT, GUT, Carcass, Devourment, Rompeprop, Torsofuck. It's not a big scene at all and the misogyny is purely lyrical. The shows are imo still the most fun to go to. Everyone's friendly as fuck, everyone has a great laugh and nobody takes it too serious.

in my personal opinion, and i really dont wanna step on toes here, like, the violence and the mysoginy of pornogrind like, to me comes off as soooo cartoonish and insane it really doesnt make me uncomfortable. like it does display real problems but it does so in such an extreme way it feels more like parody or basic ass shock humor than it does like, actual people expressing their ideology. and tbh most of the appeal of pornogrind is the song titles and iconography. nobody reaaally wants to hear some guys sub basement demo metal tracks, theyre in it for the assholes

When I first started listening to metal I started on metalcore, but it wasn't hard enough.... I had to go deeper. So deeper and deeper I delved, passing by death, trash and black metal. Once I hit grindcore I realized I've hit the bottom of the barrel and it was time to go back up.

Cock & Ball Torture have some of the best riffs in extreme metal. That being said, the rest of the genre is pretty damn boring imo. You're allowed to make the skeeviest, dirtiest music possible, but it has to be interesting. C'mon, guys step up your game.

I love this genre so much. Its really fun to play and the community is awesome.

I found Spongebob themed hardcore on Bandcamp. Not sure if you could do much with it, since it was a one off EP, and I'm not sure if there's a scene to it. Yeah, I'm a fan of grindcore but I admit that these bands kinda suck. There are far better grind bands out there, check out Pig Destroyer, Rotten Sound, Nasum, Magrudergrind, Wormrot, Cephalic Carnage...

One thing the shorted song ever is a song from a artist called Jliat, the song is Still Life 6# Jazz the song has 1/44100 second, its the smallest song possible to exist on a cd (digital files allow smaller songs by increasing the sample rate).

In all honesty I think there's a case to be argued that the misogyny and homophobia you refer to isn't really that - I'm not saying 'It's okay because it's joke' but rather that in many cases it's an obvious extreme exaggeration meant to actually represent the opposite. I know, it sounds backwards, but it is actually a fairly common phenomenon to violently exaggerate a point contrary to what you believe in simply to show how ridiculous it is. In case you're unwilling to buy that however, I really don't think you can call something that's in no way, shape or form meant to be taken seriously misogyny. I think, much like the whole nipple-thing, it's a small distraction that ultimately undermines and obscures the larger issue. We should not use up all the large and meaningful words on small things, because they end up loosing their meaning.

Good that you mentioned GUT, but what almost noone knows: these german inventors of the porngrind actually made a break over a couple of years, the drummer and founding member tim eiermann then decided to found a popband to get some money. In that band he would play guitar and do some backing vocals, the band is called Liquido and most of you probably listened to their biggest hit "Narcotic" over and over again in the 90s. And then he went back to GUT and proceeded to make the music he loves. 2nd point: should have mentioned Rompeprop.

I listen to metal. This isn't metal. This is garbage. This is the musical equivalent of boys making booger and fart jokes, desperate for attention. Except they're adults, and this is far more repulsive than boogers or farts.

Since you already looked at Extratone, how about another musical 'genre' built around fast music: Nightcore. Because if anyone can explain to me whether there is any actual nuance to nightcore or if it really is just 'take a song, play it at 1.5x normal speed and add a random anime picture', it's you.

Still pushing for an episode on Breakcore. Since we just did a "core" episode, we can wait a while before the next one, but I'd love to see one eventually!

I love this kind of music!!! I'm not being sarcastic! I can do those vocals. I do vocals for almost any kind of extreme metal, from bands like slipknot, or Rectal Smegma, Black Tongue, Chelsea Grin, November's Doom, etc. I love metal because it's just so diverse. And did anyone know that Christian grindcore and Christian bands of any genre of extreme metal exist? I just fucking love metal!!!

Can you do 2 things 1: and episode about hatsune miku representing digital music, and 2: Could you maybe expand the "This Exists" show a bit. What you're doing is fine, it's interesting. But maybe you could do stuff about geography, science more TV (i've seen the TV hijacking episode so i know you've done things on TV) or just other things. There are so many brutal and heavy death metal subgenres that it's unsurprising to see a video like this. What would be interesting if you did an episode on extreme Thrash metal subgenres. Like Slayer at like 300 BPM!

I'm less disturbed by the band and track names and more disturbed by the fact that real people purchased instruments, learned how to play them, and rented studio space to record, produce, and release FUCKING PORNOCORE. And not only did all of that happen, there are even more people out there that listen to it.
