There's a huge theory about how more than just they knew. Benjen knew cuz he was the Stark in winterfell when Robert's rebellion began. Rickon and Brandon Stark were killed by the mad king, Ned went off to fight, the theory is that Rhaegar and Lyanna were in the crypts of winterfell when this all started. Then made their way out once the rebellion started. Just like the story of the one wildling king and daughter of the Lord of winterfell that ygritte and mance talk about in the books cuz there's a song about them. That same couple was hidden in the crypts of winterfell when fighting between northeners and wildlings began after he "kidnapped" her. Oh and they found a winter rose on her pillow when she was missing. Just like what Rhaegar gave Lyanna at the tourney

Liam Walton he didn’t tell because Ned didn’t know her that well. Remember catlyn was engaged with Brandon stark, Ned’s elder brother. Ned and catlyn was having a new marriage when Ned left for war. So Ned wasn’t sure or trust his wife at that time because he didn’t knew catlyn that much. So maybe he told his brother Benjen only because he didn’t want to let more people know about this secret.

For sure especially growing up . We all know he was more stark with dark features . Acoure people could see the likeness.

First things first, Arya has had nothing to do with White Walker storyline. She was always meant to kill Cersei. Meanwhile, Jon's entire arc revolved around White Walkers and Night King. It's been foreshadowed SEVERAL times that there's a connection between Jon Snow and the Night King. Also, making the prophecies false was extremely lazy and lame. The prophecies were the backbone of the entire series, and some of them came true (Jon fighting at Winterfell, Melisandre's own death). All of this has been just a lame attempt of "subverting expectations", which ended up running all of the major story arcs of the show.

@Not Alfie in the show Jon is still Azor Ahai. On Sunday he will break the wheel.

@Not Alfie then how do you explain her going from barely being able to sneak around several chump undead troops in a room with alot of places to hide, to suddenly being able to go fully invisible in an open field and walk around the thousands of undead troops and elite white walker lieutenants and then find enough space for a running start for that jump and not get caught?

@oROGUEo I'm not telling myself anything I'm just telling you what happened in the show. Arya has been training to fight, run and be "quiet as a shadow" since the first season. She spent years being trained by death worshiping assassins to eventually kill the physical embodiment of death. She even trained blind, what does the NK bring wherever he goes? Darkness. Bran gave her the weapon she needed in order to get the job done and Mel's prophecy to her about shutting blue eyes came full circle. So with all of that information about her character, tell me how it was all about shock value again? Maybe the plot points just went over your head and you got triggered that your theories didn't come true. Also, you're making that up about the writers, they never said that. What they actually said is they've known Arya would be the one to kill the NK for at least 3 years. Just because it was a shocking ending doesn't mean it's only value was shock. If you open your mind you'd be able to see it made perfect sense. Her killing the NK was one of the best moments in the series and tied together one of the most interesting hero arcs in recent memory.

It really did send the wrong message; give your life, your position, your safety, your family name, your future, seek peace with all who will listen, do not seek power unless it is thrust upon you all for the sake of protecting the living in the face of death... but when the time ultimately came he was written useless and away from where he was needed most.

The Prince or Princess that was promised will bring the dawn not kill the Night King. Dawn can mean a lot of things. Beginning of a new era. Maybe an era of peace.

Jon is the prince who doesn't get anything. Other than the shame of being a queenslayer and getting banished for it.
