Secondly, let’s actually TREAT the person in front of us. And no, not only during the Halloween season 🎃

There are so many people that are told to lose weight as a stand-alone piece of advice for their pain. And to put it plainly….
That’s fucked up 🤷🏻♂️

Understanding where that pain is coming from is, and should always be, the priority.
That means:
☝️ Identifying body/movement mechanics
✌️ Identifying muscular weakness
🤟 Identifying any potential for systemic issues
✌️✌️ Identifying any potential for referred pain from other parts of the body
🖐️ Identifying movements that are safe and effective for THAT individual and create an actual customized program (crazy concept. I know)

And by the way, these are my protocols for EVERY individual. Regardless of size.

Of course not every medical provider is an A-Hole and ignores their patients’ needs but if you go to one that does, you MUST do your best to find a different and better provider. Because you deserve it ❤️ You never know when that next provider is gonna be the one to change your world and restore your faith back in the medical system.

PLEASE help me spread this message. It kills me when I hear my patients tell me that _________ provider just told them to lose weight. That’s lazy medicine at it’s best and this must change! The more people realize that there are better options than their current providers and leave them, the faster change will be enacted! (Can’t practice if they’re out of business 😉)
