It’s hilarious how twitter is saying “the game looks unfinished!!! Rockstar fell off!” Like of course the game looks unfinished. The whole of twitter has an IQ of a summer ant
With the way some people reacted to the leak, gamers will look at a house under construction and complain that it’s unfinished and that nobody could live in there

What I really noticed was the characters and AI in general. The different heights of players and the realistic looking clothing. I cant wait to see what the roleplaying community can make with police uniforms once SixM or whatever releases.
The devs at Rockstar should take this opportunity to make a "Behind the Scenes" look at how they make games. Especially considering how so many people don't understand what an early build looks like.
I thought it was so cool seeing an early build with all the debug messages. Definitely eye opening for anyone unfamiliar with the amount of work that goes into making a game.
I'm not really into gaming at all so it is extremely impressive seeing everything that goes into it, even the angle they hunch at is worked on a lot, which is just crazy
Especially open world games, there are literally millions of lines of code where any piece could fuck with any other. It is absolutely a testament to the talent of Rockstar North’s team. The top of the ladder fucking sucks for R*, but it’s clear the ones actually on the ground are talented as fuck.
Yeah if you've ever worked with even simple coding programs you'll learn how tedious and frustrating code can be sometimes. Things can only ever go three different ways: -The code doesn't give errors but doesn't give the intended output -The code shat itself -The code is perfect
Honestly, seeing all these features they're working on like the cloth physics and dynamic cover mechanics are something I would've barely even noticed in the final game. Maybe at best would get me to say "Oh cool, it's automatic, neat" and start taking it for granted. But now that I've seen more raw footage of it, it makes me appreaciate the feature even more and has permanently imprinted itself into my mind. I will definitely appreaciate it a lot more in the final product.
I worked at EB Games (Australian GameStop) when GTA5 was released and the level of threats and secrecy that was around accidentally releasing a copy of that game a second before launch time was terrifying. So this hacker is gonna get legally slammed through a wall
I genuinely thought the footage looked very promising. You can notice little things like how the vehicles handle or cop AI behaves in the leaked footage and it looks like a return to the GTA 4 style that people compared with GTA V but more modern and realistic. Obviously its not what they wanted to present, but I liked what I saw. The Florida setting is also gonna be great for a new GTA as well.
most gamers have no clue how games are made and don't want to know. I didn't see the footage, but I'd love to see it, I love early dev stuff for games!
Actually the animations, dialog, and shooting it actually looks smooth asf, glad they're still working on it and hopefully still giving their all because I think it looks great
As someone that's worked in the gaming industry for around 8 years the way some people reacted to this leak is fucking funny because they have 0 clue that the leaks were of an extremely early build. This is also bad for Rockstar because source code leaking is really bad and opens up a lot of vulnerabilities, especially in terms of online. If this happened to me I'd be royally pissed because normally when stuff like this happens the game has to be delayed by a year or 2 and it just ruins a lot of the dev's work.
some clips were from 2019, and some from last month, if you have the clips on streamable you can see the date in the title. Still agree it will look a lot better though, but not all clips are from years ago
The only good thing in this situation is who the hacker targeted. Yes the leaks are devastating, but Rockstar has enough backing they can shut this guy down. It's hard to survive big attacks like these when the company is small but since he attacked someone as big as Rockstar, he's not likely to get away w/ this.
It’s actually incredible if you really think about it that the people who are calling the game bad already are alive today, the fact that they didn’t die at birth because their brain couldn’t figure out how to breathe is staggering.
More games should have videos and pictures of early development in an extras section of games, seeing how your favorite games are made behind the scenes would be cool
I've noticed that Rockstar has always lacked that. You see that in Ubisoft and Activision games, but seeing the majority for Rockstar nowadays is minors, most of them don't realize how much effort it takes to even make a character move. So them complaining about years of development when the maps progressively get bigger and bigger would only be resolved if they did show BTS footage like this after release. I liked the leak seeing what the game can offer, and just closure that there is a next GTA coming. The footage was very impressive compared to what I've seen from GTA V, and seeing new features brought to the table excited me too, and this footage from my understanding was from a year ago, so there's no telling what the game could look like a year or two from now.
There's a reason leaks are called leaks and that's because the developers didn't want you to see it yet, you can't walk up to an artist in the middle of drawing something and tell them that it's just a bunch of lines on paper that don't look like anything
Well some leaks tbh are just marketing strategies businesses use to hype up their products or get attention from the public. Not saying this one is like that tho
@@abrahamhernandez2352 I swear to god, yall act like GTA 6 has been their top priority ever since 5 was released. It's like people forgot RDR2 and GTAO were also being developed these last few years.

People forgetting that rockstar delivered GTA V in 2013 and it still holds up to this day with its physics/graphics and everything 😭😭 to judge this leak and say it looks like trash is brain numbing
@@tacticalnuggets4464realistically the graphics moddeds make can’t even run on 89 percent of people computers 😂 you’d need a good pc to run it without lag
This restores my faith in Rockstar. So many people thought they were only just milking the success of GTA online, at least now we know they not only had something in development, but it's pretty far along. And the fact that they were silent suggests that they have implemented an anti-crunch culture within the company too, because reveals mean deadlines.
yeah I don't believe rockstar is anti-crunch because they're infamous for being one of the worst companies to work at when it comes to deadlines and crunch culture. I think they were just keeping it quiet for now until enough is complete for a reveal
As someone who tests and aids in the development of games, I totally agree with Charlie here. Seeing games in an unreleased early build state can create quite an interesting experience, and even fascinating. I love it, biut seeing games with their unclean nakedness can be really jarring to people on the outside. Its looking amazing either way, and I am going to enjoy it when it comes out.
It’ll all work out in the end. People who understand what they are looking at will be able to filter the information, people who cast judgement thinking the game looks bad will be in for a rude awakening
Yo bruvv I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working on quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🥊🥊
I really dont see anyone sayign how bad it looks. All I see is people saying how good it looks for this early of a stage. Seems like youre making stuff up now.
I really like seeing early leaks like this because it's like seeing a cross section of a running engine. I understand why they can't but I really wish getting to see this stuff was more common.
I mean, to be honest, I feel like the big game companies would have to be a lot more moral and ethical if game design was done like this. I just think of all the mods for so many games I've seen where the developers routinely speak to the community and take their guidance from there. Maybe that's not as feasible for a big studio, but also imagine how nice it would be if rockstar devs could just say hey this is what we're thinking of doing, how do the people that are going to pay us money think about that?
I wish theyd release early development stuff with games or something, I'd love to see the random alpha and beta test stuff they have (especially a physics room, those are always fun)
@@johnr797 you'd be surprised. Star citizen is mostly open development, the big differences being that we get to play it while it's in dev and we're almost exclusively funding it. Now, I fully believe their efforts are entirely conscientious. I believe they're doing their best to release a product. But nearing ten years in development with no end in sight, I can't help but think some of that was due to having to support a live game while building said game from the ground up.
It's baffling that people don't understand that every game starts by looking like that. Even for a pre-alpha it looked good. You can see where it's going. The esthetics look good and the movements looks way better than 5s (It's not hard considering GTA 5 has the worst movement in gta series) and the rest are place holders.
Just tell Twitter users to write a researched essay on any topic and don't allow them to freewrite bullshit their way into finishing it. Make them plan, draft, and revise the essay from start to finish, and if they don't understand that the first draft will be much different from the final draft (much like games changing, revising, and adding features during development) then truly their IQ is just slightly hovering above 0.
Yo famm, I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working on quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🙏🏾💜
@@ItzMalick This is not a good way to get people to watch your channel, if you actually make good and fun content then people will come to it, but not by begging
They need to add a mission to the game based on this whole situation. Your character has to hunt the hacker down, kill him and retrieve the stolen data 🤣
GTA6 is the closest we've got to a gaming hoax phenomenon since early youtube, people wondering if it was real or fake, people not believing and people being in awe when the leak is real. Absolutely incredible
The cooking metaphor is pretty apt, honestly. It's like someone's baking cookies for your friends, and one friend decides to just open up the oven and eat the cookie dough. Like... really, my guy?
It’s like one person took the cookies out and said rockstar is making cookies look! And then thousands of people start eating them and say wtf these cookies are terrible.
Everytime someone says "This looks bad" or similar, in regards to leaks, I just roll my eyes. I guarantee that most of those people think games just materialize as a finished game. Edit: Can you imagine being the kid's parents? You are home after a hard day of work, when you find out little johnny hacked a multi-billion dollar company and is leaking their assets.
@@goofy9125 Oh yeah so you work there right? You know exactly how long they've been working on it and all the details? Cool! Why don't you show us some proof then!
Another problem with leaks is that once the official reveal does happen everyone gets disapointment because it's basically what was leaked rather than anything brand spankin' new
This is such a big thing in the gaming world. Cant wait for the sequel to Chess. I am so annoyed by all these bots btw and it is so weird that youtube has not done anything about it.

Twitter was funny af yesterday. “Game looks unfinished”, “we waited 12 years for this???”, “looks the same as the other GTAs”. Yesterday showed me how stupid some people in the gaming community can be.
Whoever that hacker is, I'm sure that Take-Two will grant him the same level of dignity and restraint as that poor sod endured during that FIB interrogation scene with Trevor.
Yo famm, I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working on quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🙏🏾💜
Actually if they find him they may very well hire him, that or a government will. Being able to hack Uber and rockstar within a month means this guys fucking good
Honestly, the leaks just got me more excited and hyped for the game than if we didn’t get them. It’s nice to know that the game ACTUALLY exists after all this time
Of course it existed. There was no reason doubt it during the last few years. It would be like denying cod is working on a new release. Except Rockstar makes games that last.
@@Viktorreznov1942 Call of duty is a VERY different franchise compared to the things Rockstar puts out, EA and subsidiaries put out yearly releases and milk existing titles very heavily, rockstar can spend nearly a decade on one single game, and it could have been very possible that they were working on a sequel to Bully instead.
For an early look it looks amazing. The graphics look way more realistic. The gameplay mechanics for what we seen looks way more precise from the walking animations, the hair details, the environmental structure, objects seem like you can interact with them more, it looks way more improved with almost everything I seen so far. Maybe its just me but with my observation I can say I’m actually excited for this game a lot tbh…
@@tjuk8050 i think this will be that but with programming that goes passed what we expected…. The leak is bad forsure and id rather not have it be revealed this way myself. I definitely am satisfied to know that it has started development though. Id hate to see any more leaks beyond this point. I think this should be enough for the community thus far and it at least answers simple questions from a curiosity standpoint
Yo bruvv, I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working on quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🥇🥇🥇
Nothing to be ashamed of, it's actually beautiful to see the game develop like this, such an early phase and already stunning, no doubt the best marketing this game could receive lol.
Oh dear god no. Basically the entire gta/red dead fan community thinks it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen. Any comment not talking about how much they hate women is a comment talking about how the game looks “bad” and unfinished. They’re very upset about the whole thing, this is not a situation where it can be leveraged as marketing. like 5% of the community thinks the indev stuff looks neat and quite good.
I saw a little bit of it and the character models look better, and it looks like more hair options will be a thing. I hope customization will be a lot better, especially for online. Assuming they give access to online (online being the most profitable) personally I'd like to see better driving physics of course it won't be on the level of like forza or other driving Sims, but I don't like hitting stuff and just have the car go into orbit. For early game it looks pretty good. I'd expect it out by late 2024 or later.
I also saw a majority of it and I was completely blown away..the animations of walking and facial expression are interstellar compared to Gta5. And alot of people pointed out that the female character "Leia" was (thick as fuck) 😅. And to me that shows Take and R* are paying attention to not only the people but the cultural and social side of things for developement. I am absolutely excited for this game and im just in shock and its nowhere near finished.
I’m hyped for the release from what I’ve seen the character models look really good and I hope the driving gets more fleshed out than in gta 5 to more like need for speed or forza levels
I'm also very fascinated about gta 6's early development, I've spotted a lot of details such as you can get a gumball from the gumball machine, and you get to properly customise the interiors of the cars
@@talal3c that would be cool. I have no doubt that they will upgrade the customisation features even more but honestly don’t mind if we get something similar with gta5. But if we do get a massive customisation overhaul like interiors. Then for a and other racing games should feel embarrassed. Forza has already shown that want to make back to back shitty games since horizon 3. So pretty much gta and tdu3 are the last hope in a actual fun open world game

I personally love seeing leaks. Seeing how a game changes and grow along its development. But I also have enough brain cells to understand that the current state of the game is not how the final product will look.
Yo bruvv I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working on quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🥊🥊
I actually appreciated that they leaked it early. Some will write-off the game because of how it looks in early development, but to me, I think that its pretty impressive that the game looks that good into its devleopment cycle. A pre-production version of gta 6 looks about on par with some of the "fully finished" games ubisoft releases.
Ubisoft is the pinnacle of rushing games since they seem to release a AC and Tom Clancy every 2 years. They need to space out their stuff more because it's a bit sad that GTA 6 in pre alpha already looks better than most their recent games
It'd be really funny if the guy socially engineered his way into the office the same way Michael did in GTA v where a goofy vest and some cargo shorts and you should fit right in
It had the opposite affect on me. I’m more excited than ever for this game because of what I saw. Even in early development it looks like this game will be bigger and better than 4 and 5. There’s no way these leaks will hurt sales at all and if the other side of haters are mad because of spoilers just don’t look at it dude.
Those leaks can definitely hurt the sales, dude. Unfinished games means people will write it off early, but it also means bigger expectations than usual. And the people who put all the time and effort to code through the games have an even worse time on their job. People do get fired regardless whenever there's leaks happening. And sometimes they end up having to work around the leaks and it becomes a pain in the ass. Nothing good comes out of leaks. Sure, you'll see some stages of the game but it ruins marketing tactics and development process. Sorry, dude but this is an L no matter how you look at it.
Not to mention that nobody was expecting GTA 6 and now the surpise is ruined imagine the hype it would have gotten on a actual announcment proir to the leak.
no bro, u dont understand that what was leaked was very early in production, that means that rockstar deliberately delayed gta6 development so that they can milk more money from gta5, this is the problem
@@trader2137 you seem to forget rockstar we’re fully developing RDR2 from 2013-late 2018.. and the gta 6 footage is reportedly from 2019.. so there goes your little conspiracy theory.

As someone who has been lucky enough to be able to do some early play testing for some games. This looks awesome! I wish this team luck, they are doing well so far from what I’ve seen.
I got to play test a few games and I can't even remember them, one was like a moba where there was a mutant vs mercs vs mercs and you had to collect shit ,it was on playstation like 6 years ago if anyone know what I'm talking about I would love to know the title
"As someone who is lucky to play games early" Oh, you mean like the MILLIONS of every day players and children that literally pay to alpha and beta test games for 2 years until their releases. Kid you aren't special and you haven't had early access to games. It's called scummy business practices that are blatant scams and its even happening for the last 9 years
I'm pretty stoked about the leaks, it looks phenomenal even in such an early state. It's like coming into the kitchen as someone's baking something: it smells great, and you know that the final product will taste amazing. Lots of the systems at play look great, and it's clearly a maturation of what Rockstar did with RDR2, applied to GTA. It's going to be a total evolution of the series and the open-world genre as a whole.
Wasn't the built also two years old? Could be way better today. I would assume Rockstar would have to show some trailers now before the year ends since the cat is out of the bag.
