I am hip hop. So I already knew most of the history stated. This history lesson needed to be documented. Those brothers and sisters in those early groups, were the foundation of hip hop. Talib kwali gave a masterful interview of one of our forefathers of this thing called hip hop. Gave me chills

Kweli does not get enough credit for what he’s doing with this channel. I’m just a fan, a “guest in the house” at best lol but it’s definitely some details here I never heard, like Wiz coming from being a boxer & the Great Bear commercials

I'm at work. I play this while I'm on my forklift... earbuds in, focused, doing my thing. I literally just pulled over, got off my lift, and saluted to no one in particular. It's Grandmaster Cas. You had my attention back in the day. You have my attention now. Please proceed, sir

The great bear commercial jingles, down to the cadence!!! It is the sound of the 1st generation of rap. I love that little tidbit of history.

Peace to Caz and peace to Talib for helping clear up Latino involvement in the beginnings of hip-hop culture. Latinos been down with and been contributing to the culture since its foundation. These dummies online try to divide and conquer. So I appreciate these 2 brothers for letting everybody know what’s up.

"South Bronx, New York that's where I dwell To a lot of people it's a living hell Full of frustration and poverty But wait, that's not how it looks to me It's a challenge and opportunity To rise above the stink and debris Ya gotta start with nothing and then you built Follow your dream until it's fulfilled" - GMC

Good interview, always with Grandmaster Caz. The fact is Talib Kweli, the OG's where not at the party on 11th August 1973 at 1520 Sedgewick Avenue. But who there was? The where more OG's at DJ John Brown parties at the Plaza Tunnel from 1971-1973. Also Kool Herc and Coke La Rock vist this club before they start there own party's. They most be influenced by the DJ John Brown.

Caz understood the line correctly. It’s weird Talib didn’t. Jay stood on exactly what he said.

I disagree on Melly Mel not taking it personally. If you comment on someone's race then it's a personal attack on race.

I will always give Jamaicans. And Puerto Ricans thier Props Due, in Hip-Hop. I don't know why people be trying to say that they have Nothing to do with the Creation of HipHop. I think that's Whack!!! And, I'm African American Yo!!! Go back And look at Beat Street, and you will see mostly Puerto Ricans Killin' it on the Break Dance Shit! I noticed that.
