He created a $5 million business in three months - yes, there was a camera crew, but he still did it, and it was during COVID too, right when the economy was at its worst point in like the last ten years.

I had a friend who I held down in the business when we went out for drinks everything. He wouldn’t pull his wallet out for nothing and was only around because I provided free booze , and opportunities, rides, etc. This man couldn’t even show up to my baby shower. Nor did I hear from him when he realized I was no longer using up my resources for his pleasure. People’s true self will shine through given the right situation .

There is something missing so to fill the void u keep chasing what u believe is making u happy, but it's not. There are so many variations to this question and no one way is right. Yes there should be a sense of protecting yourself but you cant always be so protective that you are selfish. Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish told a similar story on the Adam Carolla show where his family and extended family were constantly hitting him up for money every time they got together to the point where he had to finally tell everyone that their lifestyles were not going to change as a result of his success (which was not guaranteed into the future, especially in the entertainment biz), but no one would starve or be homeless if he could help it. The expectations of an automatic lifestyle upgrade because someone in your orbit achieves some success is unrealistic and and rather selfish, especially if you are not the one who has achieved the success.

i’m in the middle with this topic .. i feel like vick should’ve had better ppl around that wouldn’t have put him in that position to go to jail .. or he should’ve put them in a better position where they didn’t have to do dumb shit for money (like lebron did with his friends) but i’m not just gon say fuck everybody who been down with me like these two will .. still have a lot of respect for grant though 💯
