I can’t get enough of the Field Boots. Very well designed. I have a couple of pairs and trying hard not to get another… but man, watching your bison FB, got me considering again. Great review brother.

Awesome boot, I really dig the bison leather character. Only thing I don't love is the half-sock insole liner, but I usually wear wool insoles in my boots anyhow unless it's summertime. How were the duties on a pair? I have been eyeing Grant Stone for a few years now, but yet to pull the trigger. Likely some Ottawa boots... I'm thinking out loud now...

I was super surprised duty was only $30 which felt like they made a mistake haha The Ottawa Boot looks amazing and I read somewhere that the inspiration is Algonquin Park which is pretty cool

Thanks for the review, great visuals! My Moorbys are 9.5 in CW’s 471 EE last, I wonder how that would transfer to Grant Stone. Are yours similar to a Munson with a decently narrow heel and wider toebox?

This pair is fairly wide throughout but I don’t feel like I’m sliding around in the heel like other wide lasts. I’m an 8.5ee or 8.5eee Moorby and these 8eee fit pretty much the same as the 8.5eee Moorby and a touch wider than the Moorby 8.5ee, but same length (feels like it anyway). Hope that helps!

Sorry, my scale won’t register a weight for them but they feel about the same as my Red Wing Moc Toes

Great boots. I have the same ones but like you said the journey to sizing is tough. I'm US10 D/E Brannock and got this in 9.5 and they are way too long, especially on the Floyd last. I'm trying to sell them so I can get my hands on 9E

I’m generally 9.5 eee on sneakers, Florsheim dress shoes. I wear 9eee in Canada west boots . Went with the same 9eee for the field boots. It fits slightly roomy quickly taken care of by an additional foam insole. Pinching toes are my biggest issue with shoes and boots and loving the roominess of this last. Very comfortable now.

not sure what part is the GENUINE leather, eh? Overall I thought the bison was the best option but I might go back and get the regular cowhide someday.

My experience with Grant Stone has been the same, they all seem to run long and narrow to me. They have so many great leather options it makes it hard to choose!

Yes, once I got the sizing nailed down, but it seems nobody makes Chrome XL in the proper shade of brown that I want, so I sent back the standard reddish brown service boots that looked basically the same as other brand I already had. But I don't know if I would care for the field boot in kudu even though they were discounted last time I checked.
