The Graviteam devs are from Ukraine and need your support. Please consider purchasing the game, or one of their DLCs if you already own it. Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front is the most authentic WW2 sim to date, so it shouldn't be a tough decision.

The second part of this playthrough covers the mid-part of the Pivot Point operation- the culmination of Operation Edelweiss, the farthest east the Wehrmacht ever penetrated into the Soviet Union. Will Vasily Kohminko's 44th army be able to drive the Germans back? Watch and find out.

Came for the guides, stayed for the walkthroughs and really impressed. Hats off for combining super informative walkthroughs with a genuine cinematic flair. Think your edits and overlays are brilliant as well. You’ve also definitely convinced me to pick up the game to support the devs. Few questions if I may: 1. Do you plan on finishing the series with pt3? 2. Do you plan on doing more of this type in the future? 3. Why do you think the AI pushed hard with its unsupported mechanised in the 2nd battle? It led to slaughter and was clear they were outmatched by armour and infantry numbers. 4. Finally what dlc would you recommend? I see there are some modern ones as well as ones for this setting It’s also really good to see someone using their platform to advocate like you do. I often think war gamers and students of history know better than the average how terrible wars are and why the tragedy should be avoided, it’s all too clear how cheap life gets and how much is wasted when it is allowed to start.

Your videos have finally helped me understand this game! If you could, Id request a video on how you strategize the mission in Tank Warfare Tunisia called "Springwalk", I am at a loss as what to do with the bren carriers and the little 2in mortar teams that come with them won't do anything - no option for dorect fire either! One of my favorite War games were made by Ukrainian devs - Men of War series and it's successor Gates of Hell, although made by other devs is still basically an upgrade of MoW games. I found out about Graviteam a few weeks ago and the realism immediately caught my attention. Didn't know it was made by Ukrainians. I was on the fence about buying it but now thinking I'll probably get it all just for the support.

Hey if you dont mind could tell me what the difference ingame is between "recon in force" and just a regular push or attack? does it depend on the type of units attacking?
@thedoubleu2302
@thedoubleu2302 Год назад
It's not a game mechanic or anything, more like a set goal for yourself in the battle. Where the aim in a regular assault would be to seize and hold ground, a 'recon in force' is what it sounds like. You're probing forward, determining the enemy units and positions utilising your main force or at least a good portion of it. Compare this to a standard reconnaissance which may use small/fast infiltration units or scouts to secretly or stealthily determine this information from a distance. This allows you to give the enemy a bit of a bloody nose without committing to a full assault, but also gives you the option of transitioning into an assault on a fixed position if you determine the enemy would not be able to hold the ground. Hope that helps.

Do dev's even stand with the criminals - i mean it - who's in charge now and who was backed by the goverment since early 2000-s? I don't think so. You should really get some information on the conflict. It's complicated. Anyways, the video is great as always!

@@aksow000 Well at least in my country and can get all the information. In some you cannot even utter the words "no war". No country is perfect and Ukraine has problems, it did not desrved to be invaded by a desperate leader who has run his country into the ground and controls his people through fear. The war is about land and money. Cries of natism are just lies to justify his phoney invasion. Putin only fears NATO becuase it stops him from invading more countries.

@BCooperArtMind
@BCooperArtMind 2 года назад
Let me strongly qualify myself: war is bad not matter the justification, ideological slant, the shapes and colors of the flags, the language that's spoken, or the nation-state that's in charge. When one child is killed that's it, it has encompassed hate and violence as its means and ends. Again, whatever it may call itself, whatever Orwellian doublespeak word it uses, or grandiose destiny it may profess for itself. Thus, what is happening in Ukraine is horrible. But what has, and continues to occur, in Iraq, and Afghanistan by the United States and its allies is something that much of the world takes for granted. That somehow when the "West" does it, it's for highly conditioned, benign ideological constructs, such as Freedom and Democracy, searching for WMD's, overthrowing some bad Totalitarian puppet (that they funded previously, but has currently gone rogue), Communism, Terrorism, Insurgency, so on and so forth. Although real children in the numerous thousands have died to sanctions and bombs. When Russia attacks, it's an invasion. When the US attacks the majority of people praise and support it, it's never proclaimed as an invasion. So little international outcry occurs when the US "unilaterally" attacks (invades) another nation, on whatever pretext its world primacy may enjoy, while killing children... An example, a proposal, perhaps, that if the US had attacked Ukraine, then Ukrainians would be terrorists and insurgents, and thus the global, social media, would condition, at yet another deeper level, the majority of humanity in "believing" that what the US and its Allies are doing is NOT an invasion, but something benign, and worthy of sacrificing children, not to mention young men and women, old people, and just another set of humanity that doesn't quite have that "special-ness" that Americans specifically, and Western Allies in general, inherently presume to have. It's a blindness of Empire. Historically, this's a given postulation, unquestioned by most, when a mighty, violent power wields hegemony over the mind and body of its citizens. And in this current illustration, it has become global. Moreover, I'm a son to a Native American (Choctaw/Chickasaw) and a father to Amazonian natives (Shuar/Quichua). There's an incredibly destructive hypocrisy of the US and the West, in general, condemning a nation attacking another nation in another part of the world while having killed off most of my father's people, and stolen their land (and all the other cultures that have been driven to extinction, and the current, cultural struggle to preserve what is left), and the cultural and environmental destruction of the Amazon...and its indigenous peoples. We should equally cry-out against the plague of war, for whatever peoples it may be. But when one part of the world takes a self-righteous and hypocritical stand against another nation invading another, while never condemning their own for the same infractions. Well, we could only wonder why we live in such a violent world when the mind is so easily manipulated to support a so-called, justified war while condemning an unjustified war. It's war, and if your children are victims of war, as mine are, be it subtle or total war, then Western citizens need to recognize in themselves their own nations profoundly violent past and present, while simultaneously denouncing the current war in Ukraine. I could add much more, but for brevity's sake I'll close, and I presume with this comment I might possibly get shoe-horned into arguments and insults, based on a variety of fervent patriotism, apologia, sophistry, and just downright meanness. Anyway, as a humble side note, I was a lieutenant in the USMC, joined the USN in SAR, and was a tank gunner and driver on an M-109 SP in the National Guard. I enjoy wargames (Graviteam, Steel Divisions) and flight sims (DCS, IL-2) and that's where I think war should only be--in a game. In the spirit of love...

This game is nice , it's just a shame that it's simply a tank/artillery simulation disguised as a "wargame" . There is no actual urban fighting, infantry is quite useless when you face the reality. The devs said it themselves that creating urban maps would be "very expensive" and "resource intensive" as if people in 2023 don't have NASA laptops and PC. And as if they didn't make enough money to create urban maps and almost as if people wouldn't buy them. It's just sad af you got either an half assed game like Combat Mission that does have urban fighting, a lot of it. And then you have the other half ass game which is Graviteam that has at least 100x better engine and graphics but when it comes to actual simulation it's only about lame tanks shooting at each other repeatedly on an open field until someone lands a shot, or with artillery and call it a wargame

Where did you go ? The invasion of Ukraine has nothing to do with the game. Not to be brutally truthful and political, the US needs to force a negotiation and stop the slaughter and nuclear war risk. Good is not funding endless war. We need to save our economy not protect The Ukrainian border and make US arms merchants and politicians on bouts sides rich. Need to keep up videos in 22 with new games that I here are even better. The G team is still producing videos 😊
