Welcome to What Yacht To Do, a Great Loop Documentary. Today, (May 7, 2022) Rev and Sam are moving on their Great Loop Route from Dowry Creek in Belhaven, North Carolina to Coinjock Marina in Coinjock, North Carolina. We got stranded here during a Nor'easter.
We are cruising around America's Great Loop for a second time and selected a 1999 Carver 504 named the Here's To Us!! as our Great Loop boat. So much goes into Great Loop planning and we share every trip with you. Welcome aboard!

Hi Sam and Rev. I enjoy watching your loop videos. It looks like a good time on the water. I personally boat on western Lake Erie, and I have family that live on Lake Okeechobee. Yes, it's only the third time in two loops that we got pinned down for weather, so not bad! The next trip will be the toughest trip of all!

Can't wait to get out there with you guys!...Just got back from a fun 13 hour -170 mile fishing trip with my Cousin and Nephew on a 18' Stripper! We went from SWYC in Shelter Island (San Diego Bay) out to the channel between San Clemente & Catalina Islands! Rough going out with 6-8' ground swells from the West and 3-4' counters from the WSW...could not get above 8 mph going out, but once out there it calmed down for a nice day! We came across a humongous pod of Porpoise fishing with the birds but the yellowfin did not like our jigs! others were catching with live bait like crazy along with Dorado!

Hey Sam. You’ve probably seen this, but in case you haven’t, there are a lot of cool aircraft in this video, one is a U2. Thanks Rev for the videos. I’m just south of Ottawa. Next loop you should take the Rideau Canal from Kingston to the Ottawa river. It’s 202 kilometers ( 120 miles ) and goes right through downtown Ottawa and past the Parliament buildings. This canal has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Oldest continually running slack water canal in North America. Stay safe Blair Dickie
