Hi Keith. Yes, I mis-spoke on that and we forgot to edit it out. Someone had pointed it out. Thanks so much for watching us. We love having you onboard! Sam
@@WhatYachtToDo Don't mean to be "That Guy" ( and I'm sure Mr. Saunders didn't ether ) but, Reveille is at 0600, Morning Colors ( The National Anthem ) is at 0800. Evening Colors is at sunset ( Retreat ). And, yes, I had to look it up to refresh my memory.
Hi Mark, Yes. I flew it in the late 80s, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. We are going to be celebrating the 65th anniversary of the U2 later this year in California. It is still flying in all four corners of the world. An amazing machine! Sam
Two thumbs up👍👍 lm glad you took a video of rough seas. also look like lots of people at the southern most point of the US. Thanks for taking us along. (Safe travels)
Thank you for your Service Sam, I was USN 72-74, I know that you have mentioned about maybe changing boats when you finish this loop, Question, do you have stabilizers on the Carver? and if not would you want them on your next boat ? Our boat has naiad stabilizers and they stop almost all of the roll.
Thanks for your service, James. I also spent 10 years as a USN contractor. We don't have stabilizers, and probably wouldn't get them on the next boat if we stay on the loop. But they are in the nice to have category, for certain on the crossing and gives one options if going outside. Cheers, Sam
Some trip! That’s some lumpy water. I was wondering... Do those shrimpers have AIS? Thanks for sharing these awesome videos. Shopping for a live-aboard and hope to be out there with you soon. Cheers!
You are welcome! It seems son shrimp boats did show up on AIS and some did not. Perhaps some commercial fishing boats are exempt? I don't know. Anyone know? Sam
Your video series has got to be the best set for travelling The Great Loop. Keep up the good work. Does anyone what brand of boat that is shown at the 8:00 mark? Dragon Fly is not the brand but maybe the boat's name. I really love the cabin style. Looking for a big water worthy 'houseboat style' cruiser for the Loop.
Thanks for following us. We don't have a detailed map of that day as it is deleted from my plotter. However, our ship's log says it was 112.7 miles total. But we do post a map of our entire Loop Journey at: www.whatyachttodo.com/our-great-loop-journey/
Well done again. Loved the video Rev. Hope you all have a wonderful time in the Keys. Hate you have to rush back North, was hoping you all could make it to the Bahamas. Have a safe stay and have fun.
Oh, my! That shirt seemed like it was made to be pulled out of the closet for that day! We are spending two weeks at Marathon, then up the east coast toward Norfolk for the Spring Rendezvous!
