I imagine all the packers team mates when they get on bus or plane rides are just waiting for him to hop on so they can all shout KHUUUUUNN in unison to mess around with him lol
I remember hearing that they wanted to go for two, but Janis got hurt on the touchdown, and they didn’t have enough receivers to run their best two point play.
Drove 4 hours each way from New York to DC to see this game. Every Washington fan was so cocky when they were up early and oh man did we shut them up after that. I'll never forget this game: First time seeing the Packers live, as well as first playoff game and win. It was an amazing experience
I remember being happy when the Packers lost to the Vikings in the last regular season game before this because it meant we got to play the Redskins instead of the Seahawks
Packers woulda played the Vikings again if they won that last game of the year vs the Vikings for the division ,not Seattle. Pretty sure Vikings had a better record or conference record than Seattle that year
I most definitely agree. Plus he was a rookie when we went and beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. He played very well during the playoffs to help us win.
Crit Reliant we don’t even know what Aaron Jones really is yet though.... RBs have historically done good in lafluer offense. There’s a chance the packers don’t even resign him.. he needs one more season like last year to earn another contract with the packers to me
Crit Reliant that’s an overrated take don’t forget he was with the falcons when they went to the Super Bowl and that offense was top 5 and Matt Ryan had an mvp season and they haven’t recovered since. ... another point Lafluers hasn’t stayed in the same position for more then one year because he keeps getting promotions/ better better jobs. We’ve never really seen he could do in his second year... and Aaron Jones still hasn’t proved he good be a 3 down back like what a.j Dillion could potentially be for the packers. going back to my point it’s a contract year for Aaron Jones. And he needs to replicate what he did last year to even have a chance of a contract extension. Especially when Mccaffrey just reset the RB market and rbs could have immediate success out of the draft. So if we don’t resign Aaron Jones he never makes it pass his rookie contract just like James starks..
That was such a frustrating season. It was the first season in my lifetime that I wasn’t confident that the Packers could win each game (besides 2013 I guess because Rodgers was out). I remember going into each game thinking “Let’s see what happens” rather than “We can do this.”
@@youflunkeddaycare The losses at Denver and Carolina didn't phase me as they were 2 of the best teams that year (obviously since they went to the Super Bowl), but the losses to the Lions and Bears at home were god awful, the blowout in Arizona and then losing to the Vikings at home really put everything into question. I remember thinking if they beat the Redskins, they get some confidence back (although beating the weakest division champion doesn't really equate to much). I only ever thought they might have something when they actually played well against Arizona the following week.
Carl Mack but playing well at Arizona was too little too late. And with our WR group riddled with injuries we probably wouldn’t have done much against Carolina had we been able to pull out a win in Arizona
I remember not wanting to watch the game when i saw the safety at the beginning. My dad told me to come back to watch and i saw that the Packers had taken the lead.
Remember this game. Didn’t get to watch the first half, was walking through a blizzard after work waiting for my ride. Watched the play-by-play on the ESPN App.
Score aside, this game is a lot better from an unbiased perspective than what most people would come to expect. It just didn't, stick the landing. Either way it was a great Packer game
I doubt you have the faintest idea "what most people would come to expect." For a dozen years with Rodgers most fans exoected a GB return to the SB....alas
I remember cursing DJax for not scoring on that play….it was such a boneheaded move that only he could’ve done. Dude was sooooo talented but he squandered what he could’ve been by doing crap just like that. It would’ve been 16-0.
Could argue the Packers threw the Vikings game that season bc they knew that the NFC East was a joke that year and knew that this would be a much easier matchup than Seattle.
@Tony Preston did you forget the Panther Packers game earlier that season? The Packers came back in that game and nearly beat them at Carolina. They at least would've made it more interesting the Cards did. Nobody was beating Denver that year though. So honestly kind of glad GB didn't make it to the bowl because they would've gotten embarrassed again
