My son played this song for me this morning and I absolutely love it! Actually he's been playing a ton of music by Greenday and I'm starting to become a fan I'm thinking. GREAT SONG!!! ❤❤
"Brutal Love" Turn out the lights Close your eyes Turn up the silence The heartache of your life Dance forever Under the lights This brutal love Oh how you want it You're begging for it But you can't have it Even if you try It's in the clutches In the hands of This brutal love Old toys This plastic heart Loners and fools Are tearing me apart Here comes trouble The uninvited This brutal love Danger Not quite at home The eyes of temptation The flesh and my bones Hello stranger I'm a disaster This brutal love Bad luck Bitters and soda Anguish and shame The modern fool Bad sex Buy me a train wreck Something for my troubled mind Bad luck Bitters and soda Anguish and shame The modern fool Bad love Kiss me I'm loaded Something for my troubled mind Drop out Drop dead hideous How low is this brutal love? Drop out Drop dead hideous How low is this brutal love? Drop out Drop dead hideous How low is this brutal love? Drop out Drop dead hideous How low is this brutal love? This brutal love
This is one of the best Green Day songs ever, imo. It has the quality of the albums american idiot and 21st century breakdown in terms of the quality of songwriting. Lyrics are just awesome and feel absolutely real and the songs finale is just a massive burst and outbreak of emotion. It is exactly how its titled - brutal love
Billie Joe Armstrong as if you are bj lmao. However if you are, you saved my life. Milton keynes 19th june 2005...omg best day ever. Weird that im 40 next year and my sons the same age as your yongest. My daughter is 5 and loves green day so does my relative whos 50 odd. There are photos of you singing wake me up...where (bullet in a bible) and a fuck off orb is right next to you....your dad maybe? This is order of magnitudes wife by the way. Not for one minute do i think youre him lol but meh if its you then im fucked if im ever gonna get to say anything to ya anyways so "what the hey". Soooo embarrassing but on good riddance at milton keynes at the end of the song (on cd too) you can hear me shout "yes i did" when you sang the last "had the time of your life"...cringe!
Dance forever, under the lights, this brutal love...Old toys, this plastic heart, loners and fools are tearing me apart, here comes trouble, the uninveted, this brutal love...Danger...BEAUTIFUL SONG, BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND LYRICS
This song is the most BEAUTIFUL song Green Day has ever written. Even more beautiful than Good Riddance Time Of Your Life, in my opinion. The 5th time in a row I listened to this I bawled my eyes out. Bravo, Billie Joe Armstrong, bravo. [note: do NOT listen to this song if you are thinking about cutting. it's too slow/sad]
Emilee Borders I like this song, but this Brutal love (see what I did there lmao) will never compare to the raw emotion Good Riddance had. Just my opinion.
I have so much respect for this band. They have helped me through alot with their music and i honestly love every song by them. They are so underated and especially their albums uno dos and tre.
This song is the definitive musical statement for the legacy of Green Day, at the same time the trilogy serves as a tribute and throwback to the great musical forefathers of the 40s, 50s and 60s, and brings Billie to the highest league of songwriters with Lennon/McCartney/Harrison
Everyone thinks they're in a brutal love, don't they? I know I do from time to time, and this song is so relatable. I'm surprised that "Brutal Love" isn't more popular. It's one of my favorites of the three definitely, and Tre is my favorite of the trilogy.
One of my favourite song from these three last albums... When they play it, at the end of the show like they've done in Arras (France) last month, it's just perfect... You just have to close your eyes and listen to Billie's voice... That's a dream. That's my dream and it came true. Thank's guys, for all.
im 13 a found out about green day about October last year, and since that day I have not gone a day without listening to at least 1 song! thank u so much green day! and plz don't stop, the next generation will be lost without u!!

This is like a modern day “Somebody To Love” by Queen. As much as I love American Idiot (Half the songs are in my top 10 Green Day songs for me especially St. Jimmy, Jesus Of Suburbia and Holiday), Brutal Love and Hitchin’ A Ride have such a jazzy feel to them and I love it. Both are definitely my two favorite Green Day songs.
To all the 'dislikers' of this video, I'd like to see your video with over one million views!! It's MUSIC for F sake, if you don't like it, switch the channel!!! Rock On GREEN DAY!!!
I saw my first ever concert at emirites this year................ MY GOD GREEN DAY, TALK ABOUT AN INSPIRATIONAL MOMENT AND THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY TINY LITTLE LIFE!
They were also in Lodz. These lights from phones and lighters on "Brutal Love" were amazing. Now, whenever I think about this song and Green Day in my country, I cry.
To me, the best song from the trio of album's. I love all tre' album's, but TRE', there's just something about it...it's amazing!!! Danger Not quite at home The eyes of temptation The flesh on my bones Hello stranger I'm a disaster This brutal love
