GD Iron Grip, it's adjustable and straight handles. Though it's not cheap, round about £45.

Try it the other way (the adjusting knob toward yourself).

I bought a gripper. I used it a few times 2 months ago, and now the middle finger on my left hand has been in excruciating pain ever since. I can't afford medical care. I was doing this to try to improve my health and now I'm so much worse than I was before. My left hand is in agony

Hi. I'm sorry to ask. May I know your physical condition , especially you arms ? What age group are you ? Do you often lift heavy weights or hardly any ?

its not due to the gripper. all it does is exercise muscles

I suffered a seizure while driving 8 years ago. And since then my right hand falls asleep at least once every hour. I wonder if this hand grip will help my hand go back how it was 8 years ago
@epmanualphysicaltherapy
@epmanualphysicaltherapy Месяц назад
Hi Salomoney, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're really sorry to hear about what you've been going through since your seizure. It’s hard to say whether the hand grip strengthener will fully restore your hand to how it was 8 years ago, but it could potentially help improve circulation, strength, and overall function in your hand. We would need to perform a proper evaluation to determine if could restore the function of you hand. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. We would recommend purchasing a grip strengthener from a store with a good return policy just in case you felt it wasn't offering any benefit. We do have a hand-and-finger help playlist you might find helpful. You can access it here: “Hand & Finger Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1mYwJBW78_If4XygPvj7B2R9 We hope you found this information helpful. We wish you all the best on your road to recovery! 🙌

Assuming 10s rest between the 10 reps. That's 3m 20s of every hour dedicated to hand gripping. Close to 7mins per 60 if you do each hand. Does this need to be done everyday?

Hey there, I purchased a grip strengthener as recommended by you after watching your video on Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Used it for the first time today, but it cause extreme nerve sensitivity and some pain... is this normal and temporary? because what you said about strengthening the grip and the shrug movement really makes sense. In fact the shrug movement has already given me good relief and I want to improve my grip strength too. My right hands have lost that pillow towards the wrist like you showed and I would love to recover the muscle wastage... Please guide.

Hey Roli! So sorry to hear that the grip strengthener caused pain. If you have an adjustable strengthener you may need to lower the resistance. Especially when first starting out, it is important to take things slow and not overexcite the muscles and nerves in the hand. Hope this helps!

Hi Ditate, We are so sorry to hear that you are suffering from painful wrist issues. It's understandable why it's so concerning as you are still working and doing repetitive movements. We have client who has been doing stylist for over 52 years and is dealing with a very similar situation. Regrettably, we do not have any resources specifically for wrist arthritis but we do have a playlist for hand and fingers that you might find helpful. “Hand & Finger Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1mYwJBW78_If4XygPvj7B2R9 We will forward your comment to Dr. David so that he can consider it for future content. In the meantime, we would recommend a Virtual Consultation with one of our doctors. Our Virtual Consultations are conducted similarly to a Zoom call, and we will send you a link that will automatically connect you with one of our doctors. This consultation will allow us to gain a better understanding of your condition, discuss your medical history, and provide personalized guidance tailored to your needs. Once you have purchased the Virtual Consultation, we recommend sending us an email with your questions, any records you would like to discuss, and a brief description of your medical history at least 24 hours before your appointment. This will help us prepare and ensure we can address all your concerns during the session. Please refrain from sending this information before purchasing for security purposes. After your Virtual Consultation, you will receive a recording of the session, and you will have 30 days from the date of the consultation to ask any follow-up questions regarding your session. You can email us your questions, and our doctors will get back to you at their earliest convenience. Once you purchase your consultation, our scheduling coordinator will contact you to find out the best time and date that works for your appointment. To learn more about our Virtual Consultations, including cost, please click here: www.epmanualphysicaltherapy.com/virtual-visit/ We also have a couple of other playlist that you might also find beneficial. You can check it out here: “Knee Arthritis Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1maa9YF-WmKLF7oI4VoczH8i&feature=shared “Lower Back Pain Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1mbzUnBp_oP2JYk_dN9E42S4 “Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1mYxifSEM8bNacVpyTmc3_Ys Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. We hope you found this information helpful. We wish you all the best in your road to recovery!

I purchased one of those when i broke my wrist, my partner already had one that was too strong for me. My other hand was measured at the physio dept and that was way above someone of my age, so it took a while for my damaged hand to get stronger. You are correct about the angle of the handles and i do turn it around and upsidedown. We keep both on the coffee table to use daily. Thank you for this video.
