I just started my own frugal channel about a month ago, and now I want to binge your channel to learn a little more! Other frugal channels say they learned a lot from yours and are still learning! Awesome video, Jordan! Keep inspiring the frugal world! May God bless you and your family!

My experience with Wal-Mart grocery pick up is that they are soooo much friendlier than the staff in the actual store. I love it!
@Lucinda_Jackson

I agree! I was late to the Walmart shopping/pickup game. I had been doing pickup from two other big stores, paying $100 a year each for the privilege, and getting indifferent or even nasty service with very high prices. So, I had steeled myself for horrible service and bad attitudes, but decided it was a fair trade for the prices. I had my socks knocked off on my first visit! Friendly, polite, helpful, WHAT??!! So I went a second time and a third - always great and a pleasure! And free!! I saved so much by switching to Walmart for my main shopping and get good service besides!

I 100% agree that the customer service is better with pickup than in the stores. The thing to be wary of though is that many Walmart pickup associates have told me that your food can be outside of refrigeration for a hour or so during picking. I have had and have witnessed others in the customer service line say that the milk had gone bad far ahead of its date. So just be careful and choose your cart wisely. Now Sam's Club pickup is just as friendly but I have never had nor witnessed anything bad with the refrigeration of those orders. Sister companies but different in this way.

I also love how if they don't have something they substitute and normally it's for larger or name brand for the price of what you ordered.

paper products and medicine are probably the most expensive items. I'm going to say... $75.32? I've been following the $100 or less grocery budget for almost a year now. We've saved SO much money! My husband is always impressed when I tell him how much I've saved each week with sale items, coupons, and my grocery total. Makes me feel good that I can feed my family and still stay on budget. Thanks, Jordan!

I’ve been using Walmart grocery pickup every two weeks for almost four years now. Love it! We’ve only had a couple mixups in that time. Love the tips…but what about breakfast, lunch, and snacks? For anyone feeling discouraged, here’s our reality…. I don’t keep a huge stockpile to pull from, and my budget is about $250 for two weeks for everything for a family of four. So we are about $125 per person per month. I think it’s a good blend of value and convenience for us!

I was surprised that I’ve always had good luck with that, with pickup from any of the 4 stores I regularly use. I’m picky and was worried, but I’ve actually only had two items that weren’t good. They refunded me immediately without question, so pretty good. I think much depends on where you are - where I lived before, Walmart’s produce was horrible and the department had a slight whiff of decay which is why I never shopped there. But I decided to just try once here (I’ve only been inside my store here once in 7 years to buy an iPhone and fall mums so didn’t even get close to the groceries) and the produce was great. But I’m also in the South rather than the Northeast now so I assume that’s why?

Yes, Walmart is a great place to get groceries affordably! 😁 That bread! We miss our Walmart being a five minutes drive from our NE Ohio home (Aldi, too!), now within 20 minutes in neighboring SE Michigan cities. 😁 That rice...yes, also. An easy and inexpensive meal is my version of "dirty rice": mix salsa, ground beef (a little goes a long way, added more for flavor.) in the rice, and top with shredded cheese and sour cream, if desired. Also, reheats well!

Also you can shop through rakuten, or Ibotta for percentage cash back online. Usually I will take whatever money I earn on brandclub and Ibotta a few days after a pickup order to run into my local grocery store and Aldi to get anything clearanced or just generally less expensive\on weekly special and that Trip feels free since it was money from cash back.

I would like to know this too! And where are all the condiments, spices, toilet paper, coffee, creamer, formula, diapers, contact solution, shampoo, toilet paper, etc! Is all this type of stuff included in her "other" budget? If so, to me that is not true grocery haul. I know from my family at least, there is always something random that we need to restock on. Or some random thing that needs to be bought for the week or for an upcoming event. Never anything random in her hauls. Maybe this time the two equate things that she showed, but it's all just meal stuff. And seems like it's only for a couple nights of the week. Not even a full week. I don't know. These hauls always seem sketchy to me.

I was so excited about the under $100 cost of feeding your huge family all those dinners and then I realized you didn't buy any breakfast items, lunch items, snack items, drink items, paper towels or toiletpaper or feminine products----- if you didn't have the pantry and freezer stockpile your cost would have gone WAY up. Another reason to stockpile--- so you can get excited about getting just a few things at Walmart and coming out under $100. lol

Definitely flour, sugar, rice, dry beans, pasta, oatmeal, cereal, potatoes, oil, and salt. Walmart is not cheaper on many things. The rice you bought I bought at Dollar Tree for $1.25, a local meat market had 15 lbs of ground beef for $22, family pack of chicken thighs $6.85, family pack chicken legs $3.89, family pack pork chops $6.55, a bag of vidalia onions $2.99. You have to shop several stores if you have the luxury of having several close enough. I also buy a 12 pack of toilet paper at this market for $4.99 double rolls, good quality. I quit using Walmart after my orders were wrong repeatedly and the last two deliveries were one thawed frozen food and the last the driver had been smoking weed and it was so bad the bags the food were in smelled the house up for an hour. I buy Walmart’s Italian Sweet cream creamer, some canned goods, reduced bread and pretty much the rest is from specials from that market and Aldi and Dollar Tree. Also we make a run every few to a Bent n Dent store where we save a lot too!

Great tips!!! I needed to do a huge haul today following a family vacation for my family of 6, and I definitely saved money compared to my usual grocery store. The promo code worked perfectly. I opted to have it delivered for ease. I’m also totally stealing the chicken thighs, rice, pineapple recipe.

I just can’t get with places like Walmart food. I just feel like quality is better than quantity but when it comes to food consumption. The other grocery stuff like toilet paper etc ok. I’d rather just spend more on food and then cut the costs on other things.

I used both the Kroger and Walmart app to see which was cheaper of items I was buying plus gas. Kroger I was surprised was cheaper on most stuff. And I got 10 cents iff gas, whoop whoop! Paid 4.61/gallon. I ended up buying more stuff because of other stuff being on sale...lol I enjoy all your videos and find them very helpful. Love ya girl! :)

@@_imgracie if you have a Kroger or similar to Kroger store within the past year Kroger made it possible to shop through self checkout. Most people aren’t aware of it just yet. I don’t think it’s been publicized like it should be just like people don’t realize the registers will naturally separate WIC, food items, and non food items all in one transaction.

We are big fans of Great Value Cereal. I do get other cereals on Sales from Smith’s (Kroger) but Great Value Rice and Corn Squares (Chex), frosted mini wheat’s and honey oat clusters. They’re HUGE boxes and so much cheaper!

Gone are the days of assuming that Walmart has the lowest prices. Currently in my large city, they have the highest price on eggs by nearly a dollar. I could list off a dozen other staple items that are cheaper at other stores in the same neighborhood, and they also have pickup. I don’t find Walmart to be a savings at all.

I have to say although Walmart grocery pickup is convenient sometimes they say on the app they don’t carry an item and I go inside and I find it. They also give you a limit on how much you can get of one thing on the app.
@grizzfan08

I'm going to guess about $95, probably since the meats and milk are going to be the most expensive. What you could also do with the zucchini is make Zucchini Bread (another way to get the kids to eat veggies w/o them really noticing). I really never thought of that method for marinating chicken, that's really clever. You could also do it with the food saver system as well. Keep it up!!!
@Lucinda_Jackson
@Lucinda_Jackson 2 года назад
I do that with fresh chicken I buy, too. Pop it into a big freezer bag with BBQ sauce and into the freezer. Or Italian salad dressing - a different flavor and really good grilled and on a Caesar salad or in a sandwich. They just marinate as they defrost. Easy peasy. You can use any marinade, really, as long as it’s not terribly acidic. Oh, and pork chops, too. The thin cut pork chops frozen with teriyaki sauce grill up quickly and are delicious! Good for a fast summertime meal.
