They're great peppers. When I can find them, I use them when I'm canning homemade pickles. 1 or 2 of them in a pint jar will make the pickles spicy enough and give a good, unique flavor.

I live in Southern California, and I'm growing my first batch of Thai chili's in my front yard. I've never grown peppers before and this is the first actually great guide I've found for growing and harvesting. The thing I was most confused about was when your supposed to harvest them. Because everything I looked at had a different answer. Thanks for this!

I got a couple of these growing hydroponically- they grow incredibly fast, and start out beautifully symmetrical before turning into a full bush. They are much less finicky than hydroponic tomatoes as well. Right now they're still green, but I can't wait to taste them. Such a fun plant to grow.

Lovely plant. I live in Canada on the West Coast so fall sets in pretty quick. I grew my Thai Chili Dragon peppers in pots under my patio cover to protect from the rain since I dont have a veggie garden, however it only get sun in the early morning so I usually moved them to the sun through out the summer. I have recently harvested 5 red chilis and I see a couple more but the rest are still green and we are almost in mid Oct and fall weather is upon us. Should I wait or pick them green and try to ripen them on the counter?

Growing this pepper. Had a problem with white fly infestation which lead to leaf curl.. had to hack the plant down once all the way to the base of the stem. The plant grew back but deformities remained in terms of leaf shape etc. as I was growing it organically, I didn’t use any chemical pesticides. Instead I used neem oil spray when required. The plant is pest free now and producing peppers. Hope this helps

Thanks for this. I have the slightly longer Thai Chili, about mid-day, on till dark the leaves wilt some. Potting soil is good and pot is big enough and plenty of daily water. Could it be they just don't need full day of direct sun? This small chili I also have and it doesn't seem so sensitive to full sun. What do you think about this mid-day wilting? Thanks!!
