Growing Mung Bean Sprouts is easy. Mung Beans can be grown into short sweet sprouts in a couple days by even a novice sprouter. They can also be made to grow long, thick roots in five - so they offer challenges for experienced indoor farmers. Because of the range of possibilities I consider them the most entertaining seed to sprout.
Super nutritious and profoundly delicious - the unmatched texture of Mung Bean Sprouts has made them the most consumed sprout on Earth. They are featured in a multitude of Asian Recipes - including the ever popular Pad Thai, Egg Foo Yung, and our all-time favorite, Hunan Mung Beans in Outrageous Dressing.
In this video we use a Constant Weight atop our sprouts. In future video(s) we will investigate varying the weight, using ethylene gas from ripening fruit, and growing in the dark. If Sprouting was a college course - Mung Beans would take up an entire semester. They offer so many possibilities!
Again, we are 2 people who run a business selling seeds and supporting indoor farmers around the world. We are just too busy with what we already do to keep up with communication on You Tube, so comments are disabled. Come to sproutpeople.org - we are Always available there @:-)
Happy Sprouting!
