Thanks for this video. My daughter did the same side shave in March of 2019 and is so frustrated with the growth. I showed this to her and she relaxed a little about the growth. Her biggest issue is she can never wear her hair up.
i have one currently but it goes into an under cut, I’ve had it for about 2 years. I’m growing the undercut part of it out now, its about 1 and a half inches. i plan to grow out the actual side shave in about a year or so, I’m gonna grow it out till its shoulder length the cut all my hair to be that length
I'm growing mine out too! It's been about 8 months, every single morning it manages to stick straight up! But, I have a short bob so I'll probably have mine even SUPER soon! Good luck to anyone who is doing the same, and if you are scared to shave your head don't be! It was a super fun experiment for me, I had it for about.... 5ish years I think. Just go for it!
I shaved half of my head back in June and it growing back so weirdly. I have fine/thick hair so seeing the long side grow back is not working the way I want it. 😭 I am super happy I had the half shave look but I am really excited to have my normal hair back 😂
@@jynn_doodles8129 omg😂😭 i cut bangs and than cut my hair to my ears and than shaved the back and the sides out of boredom lol my hair is to my jaw now but my bangs didnt really grow🥴
@@debbieboeckhout8972 Oh my gosh! 😂 When I went for the half shaved, I wish I would have done research on how the half shaved can grow back so weirdly. It is annoying 😂
if you get a hair band (or a bandanna to be edgier) you and wear your hair up and tuck the side shave in the hair band or bandanna and you can wear your hair up. it also works with undercuts!
I have a full undercut and I've finally decided to grow it out. I've been watching video after video on how to grow it out and this has been the most helpful thing I've watched. Thank you!
This has boosted my confidence so much to shave the side of my head!! I was worried about how it looked when growing it out if I decided I didn’t like it and honestly I’m gonna do it like tonight 😅

I hope you have fun with it! I got a sideshave about a year ago, right after grade 8. I loved it, but when I went back to school, people bullied me for it so I grew it out two months after starting school :/ I’m heading into sophomore year now, and my advice to you is that no matter what people say about you, don’t do what I did and give in to their taunts. People are afraid of anything that’s different, but as long as you love your hair, no one can tell you shit👌 oh and also, be patient if you ever do decide to grow it out, it takes a LONG time hahaha
That’s so weird because after watching this I’ve realized how much of a pain in the ass it would be to have a weird chunk of short hair. Completely turned me off to the idea. I guess we had a different interpretation or something lol
so cool to see someone else growing their side shave out!! im currently growing mine out as well and i'm 3 months in. my hair is thicker and it's literally a puffball when i wake up at about 4 inches, so i take bobby pins and part it to where i can pin the lil pieces back if i'm wearing my hair in a ponytail or bun

I found the video of you shaving your head a while ago, (I'm really glad I did because we have a similar head shape) so I got mine shave pretty much how yours was done a month ago. I have thicker hair strands so when my side shaves grow out longer, they stick straight up and out, and I look like a hedgehog when the top part of my hair is damp lol

Also I love your grown out eyebrows. I always want to let mine grow but the sparse hairs that grow out around them bother me so I end up giving in and plucking them lol.
Omg that’s literally the story of my life, at 11 I started begging my parents for a side shade and for my 12 birthday they let me and at 14 I started growing it out but at 16 I shaved it again
I'm on my 8th month of growing out my side cut. My hair is naturally curly (3b curl type.) so it's def interesting! lol. LOVED YOUR VIDEO. it's so relatable to me at this point with the awkward hair length.

i don't regret getting a sidecut but i'm going to let it grow because there's some hairstyles i can't do and i miss doing them, i'm patient and not really stressed about this, my hair grows super fast. but i have curly hair so...😩 thank you for this video! super helpful

I’ve had a side shave for almost two years, except mine goes higher up and farther back so it’s kinda more like 2/3 of my head lol. I’m finally trying to grow it out but it’s coming in patchy and uneven 😓 only been about a month so I’m hoping it’ll fill in soon. Yours looks great!

when i grew out my side shave i just always put my hair up and clipped it back. My hair is about nipple length and my grown out hair is about shoulder to collarbone length.

i'm having flashbacks of what my hair looked like when i was growing out the side. it's still not all the way done growing out but it looks the same as all of my other hair cause i have generally short hair
God you are so lucky you had hair to cover it up, my hair is so thin. And I don't think anything is wrong with those pils because when I started to grow my hair out the firts 4 to 5 months it was growing sooooo fast, like really fast.. but after that it was going so slow, and it was really frustrating but I also think it's kinda normal. And I'm already over my second year that it's still growing out.. and what I did now is just cut it all at the same length so it can grow together now and maybe faster
This is cool. I'm on my latest attempt of trying to grow my hair out from stubble, feeling pretty confident about it this time. I've seen a lot of men's hair growth videos, but this is my first female one. I suppose I'd open myself up to many more videos if I searched for women's videos as well, right? This was a mixture of helpful and soul destroying haha mine is probably about 3 inches at the moment, only just able to tuck it away. I think I'll probably just opt for a pixie cut once I lose my quarantine round facedness lol
i shaved mine about a couple years ago and i finally decided to let it grow out sometime in january. it would be fine and dandy, save for the fact that i have curly hair and it likes to curl now that it’s getting longer. it’s so annoying
she is so me....like im growing out my side shave also because i miss my hair and there's so many hairstyles i cant do. her hair growth is pratically the same as mine. i think by next summer my hair should be down to my breast....hopefully ToT
I had a side shave about 2.5 years ago, that's when I first cut it, August 2019, and I then cut it all around short in may 2020 and looked like a dude for a while- my hair is finally back to my shoulders-
Ive never particularly wanted a side shave, but I have thought about it a few times. Im still young and my parents wouldnt let me if I wanted now, but who know, maybe in the future!
