It's about time I started playing around with growing microbes on agar! I wanted to start by harvesting the yeast (and/or bacteria) from my wild-fermented pomegranate wine ( • DELICIOUS Naturally Fe... . I took samples from both the wine and the leftover arils (little pomegranate seeds) and those agar plates are incubating at around 85 degF. After a day, there was growth on the agar plate that had been inoculated with microbes from the wine! I couldn't believe it grew that quickly! So let's take a look under the microscope!
