It’s always cute seeing the guards reacting to their families visiting, The families are always so proud of them and the troopers always try so hard to stay poker faced but can’t prevent the smiles………and no John, Box women sounds like something entirely different lol Oh and the second horse in is Monty with his teeny white coronet and big white nose 😊 my fave Awwwww you’re ruining my rep guys…..I’m meant to be a grumpy old curmudgeon….I can’t be sitting here smiling at CUTE and heartwarming content!!! So glad you explained why they slap the horses. I figured it must have something to do with letting the horses know something's about the happen but didn't think about the weight distribution. Thanks! Also about their families visiting. This is awesome because most soldiers don't get to have visits from family like this; especially those abroad. Love technology, too, which connects those far away with their loved ones. Families can watch your videos over and over again to see their soldier! Bless you!

If anyone knows of the show “The Specials”, one of the featured cast members, Sam, iirc, has a brother in the Coldstream Guards, and got to see him on duty at Windsor Castle. They had a lovely meetup in the barracks after brother’s shift was done.

That horse us gorgeous

All 3 of my brothers were posted to Singapore for 3 years when I was in my early teens and I still remember how heartbroken I felt at that young age. Even worse when all did tours in Northern Ireland from 1969. They each did several and all 3 were injured in a rocket attack that killed a couple of fusiliers.

You hear the people complain and go oh my God they slap the horse. The sound is louder than the actual slap and 90% of the time when they slap to the body. It’s on the saddle not the horse the neck slap. It’s not that hard it just sounds louder.❤❤❤

I am truly impressed that it was a lady guard who scared Karen of, as so many times the king male guards , police, etc spoke to Karen she just continued coming back taking over the show being rude. Karen was the rudest overbearing controlling person I have ever experienced in my life I wasn't born yesterday. I am so grateful that they finally did their job got rid of her I dreaded seeing her controlling disrespecting everyone,it was way over due. I must give you a compliment by saying you have a lovely voice for commenting do a lovely job, thank you.

With the state of things around the world over the past 3 years , lockdown and restricted travel thank goodness for Zoom calls ! A few years ago it would have been letters nothing else , technology does have it's good side ! I'm enjoying looking back over the as you say wholesome events and your great sense of humour 😀

You could say Lady Guard Riders or I've been saying for all of the Guards just Rider's. I'm glad they can't talk to people because they will never LEAVE!!!! Lol. This is my second or third video today. My right hip went out and I got into the chiropractor on Friday and I'm still recouping so I'm well always watching A LOT of videos and channels every day! I love watching the horses. And how inconsiderate people are for the Guards and Horse's!!!!!!!

Horses kick and bite each other for all kinds of reasons. That slap was barely felt.

Curious, since the Kings Guards are military, why don't they carry a rifle versus a sword? I am American and not versed in the Kings Guard protocol. Are the swords more for military Pomp and Circumstance, not for protection of the king ?

Awhile back, I watched a documentary about the Queen's guards (now King's, of course). It was very information and very interesting. One of the things it talked of was how the guards actually train to fall forward when they're about to faint. The documentary interviewed guards or former guards. They also shared about some personal things that might happen while standing for so long but I won't share those here. 😸

She could have been put on an administrative level.
