Dude, I kept seeing the trailer for this movie as an ad and I always skipped, I couldn't get through the I'm hot but I'm an awkward geek just like you part, so the beginning. Anyways, I didn't know about this twist, I think it would've been cooler if it turned into a horror, but even this is more interesting than the same cliche things every movie has nowadays.
Fun fact, there's a real life case of someone being unconscious for a few minutes and he imagined his whole life meeting a woman, having kids, adoring his family. Then woke up and was asking for his wife and kids but they never existed. He needed therapy for years afterwards to mourn the loss of his "family" and accept that they weren't real. The hunan brain is crazy.

That’s kind of dumb though, it’s logical they will mostly set their films in the country they know and live in ? Imagine if every mediocre American filmmaker tried to set their movies in different parts of the world, would he find local actors ? What about the langage ? The stereotypes and racist mistakes they will definitely make since it’s not actually their home country? I think it would be very tricky, and you wan just watch films from other countries, that will actually give more recognition to foreign filmmakers, the problem is that the USA have the biggest film market and built an hegemony all over the world. But I personally am not that interested in seeing commercial comedy filmmakers‘ take on my country.

Granted that book was so boring, there's no way they could have put that scenario in the movie without that fight scene. BUT LET ME TELL YOU I will never forget how we were all were screaming at the screen like "that didn't happen in the book! noooooooo!" Like the episode of The Office where there was a fire. Ahhh Memories.

as someone who studies literature I couldn't agree more.. seriously the absolute worst and also cheapest/most lame endings are that it all turned out to be a dream or killing off the main character from out of nowhere

I saw one of Dylan’s video by accident, and now I’m obsessed with this man and his content. There’s no toxic comments, and even why he makes jokes there are pretty respectful with is rare nowadays
Nina’s the actual love interest in the movie. I feel as if the trailer misrepresents the main characters relationship, cause it’s very much a friendship thing not at all romantic.

When Jacob answered in the trailer, “Uh yeah no I’ve got- I’ve got dreams...” I think they used that part in trailer because it hinted at the fact that he might not have dreams or aspirations of any kind. Even this his answer turned out basic, and the scene may not have been the most intriguing, I can see what filmmakers were getting at with that.
Table 19 is such an emotionally beautiful and relatable movie that talks about how some people in life inevitably get forgotten and discarded by people they used to love (like the babysitter, Eloise , Walter ) and how they all bond over this shared trait between the all that makes them sort of an inseparable family later on . The trailer didn’t do it justice tbh

I know he gave a little bit of info about the book he's writing in one of his movie commentary videos, could be an older one - might be Hilary Duff's A Cinderella Story. He said it was ya contemporary and the protagonist is a guy and he comes from a rich family... or middle class... or like, his dad is rich and he wants his son to go to a particular college idk. It's like I remember but I can't explain, it's weird. It stood out to me because in his video he made fun of the love interest for his lifestyle, and then called himself out because his own protag lives the same way. You will eventually find the video if you binge lol I really wish I remembered which one so I could tell you.

The mid-trailer twist in 2 Hearts slammed into me like a truck. I was 100% expecting it to be a movie about a college couple who awkwardly discover that their parents are dating each other (mostly because the four main actors look *fucking identical.* The two women could easily pass for mother and daughter.)
