Maybe it's not "DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM" like he wants to destroy the system. Maybe it's Goldlewis saying he's "Down with the system!" Or maybe he's our man on the inside, making him even cooler.

Cracks me up that the "Secretary of Absolute Defense" has little to no defensive options.

I love Goldlewis. I love his mighty girth (seriously, one of the only fat characters in fighting games who’s played completely straight, dude is a fucking badass,) I love his weapon, I love the uniqueness of the half circle motions for BT so it feels like you’re actually swinging around a coffin, I love the alien, I love the minigun, just EVERYTHING about him. I wish he was a liiiiittle stronger, mostly because some of his matchups are true pain (looking at you, Axl,) but there’s been few things as satisfying as coffin/drone mixups when I get an enemy pressed against the wall. It feels like he’s bludgeoning people with a pickup truck. Fingers crossed for some buffs in the future to make dealing with pressure a smidge more tolerable, but I’ve stayed in the Top 100 in wins with him since he came out because he’s so damn cool. This guide has already helped a lot in filling out my knowledge of the character, and is a video I will no doubt return to many times in the future. Thank you much, Roofle, THIQQ BOIS UNITE!!

It should also be noted that the down with the system super gets more startup frames the more 360s you input. 360 = 10f, 720 = 15f, 1080 = 20f.So as a reversal, it might be better to just go for 360 as the others may not hit in time.

Only 1080p for this one, I will spare you the whole story but this shoulda been up a long time ago, and I had to emergency re-render this video at a lower res otherwise it wouldn't have been up today, the 4k version still is in processing hell right now. 4k quality is the thing I am aiming for these days for the most part but for the really big/long videos youtube doesn't know how to handle it and I almost always have to re-upload them. Frustrating a bit, but everything else should remain at 4k! Anyways more coming in the week of course, and evo is soon!

Today i encountered Ram first time as Chadlewis. My TV is still all in one piece somehow. The controller not so much. All i can say is don't accept ram matches if your mental health has any value to you.

I’ve spent all week playing with him. It took about 100 losses but finally hit a rhythm and you can just wreck people when you get going. Finding ways to defend myself and proper movement compared to people who’ve been using characters now for two months took a minute but I think he’s not as bad as people are saying. Huge sentence lol. You can sneak close slash in sneaky places and it’s a great punish and then just get a behometh typhoon going doesn’t even matter if they block

I love hitting 2H in the corner then spinning the stick like an absolute madman for that 1080 DWTS

The timing is tight, but you can get a 624 BT after a throw. It does 5 extra damage compared to 5H. No Skyfish pressure, though.

I play on a keyboard and what can I say about Behemoth Typhoon, the one that you said is very difficult (upper hcb) is pretty easy on keyboard in neutral, but his vertical half circles are pretty annoying on keyboard (at least with a WASD controll scheme)

Been really grinding GL but been stuck at level 8. Really really struggle at getting on long normals from Nago or getting swamped by Pot and Chipp. And Axl is just stupid hard. But! I love when I do get in on someone. So fun! Thanks for the video!

8:50 is actually not true. If you close slash in the corner you can 248 HS and if you hold out of corner they will fall on the other side of you and you will still have time to full combo them before they hit the ground with close slash to HS to wall bounce BT to kick to the fast startup BT to wall break with fast startup BT I believe. Useful and worth learning just to have it in the pocket.

Buff Goldlewis ! love playing him, trying to find out setups after enemy blocks my jump dust cause this is the most often situation iam in with him.

Just bought him today i was quite hesistant at first but i caved in to the temptation and tbh he might be my new fav character.Sure he could use some touch ups on his normals and for some reason i can go top back to top front pretty easy but only top front to top back i can do like 80% of the time but with some practice maybe i can who knows lol

A dumb question but do you plan on doing all characters? Also I’d recommend you put either the date or patch number in as I feel the game will popular for a good time. Fantastic content as usual!

I think Goldlewis is a vortex character, once he gets knockdown from mid range poke or jump BT, he can dash up close slash to put the opponent into deadly guessing situation (mid low throw even prc instant overhead), if they guess wrong either they got knockdown and guess again, or take 250+ damage.

Its mad his chip damage is about the same as I can get off a jab confirm for zato, they really need to make it combo into 6p or something so I can possibly combo into invite hell or eddie off the 6p lol. Can spend bar to get more but seems like most the rest of the cast can get something basic off jab, also some help in the corner would be nice lol enjoying goldlewis think hes a good character but cant wait to see who is next now baiken in the mix of possibility. Want her grappling hook combos, guard point dash and parry back! Was just starting to get the hang of her in xrd, they can cover her up as long as she plays the same and still a badass I'm good lol

People are sleeping on air Typhoon, especially stuff like air 684 BT, as an antiair / swat away option. Even if they block it, it knocks them SUPER far back and it destroys any momentum they had and lets you breathe. If it hits them it usually leads into an easy combo from there, I've taken over half of a life bar meterless off of air BT AA's.

Roof you said the Rule of 5 doesn’t apply to guard breaks, does that include yellow RCs cause I swear I’d yellow RC’ed out of combos with Potemkin and went for Pot Busters and had them whiff where Potemkin’s arms just go right through their body.

I dont know what to do in neutral with goldlewis he seems to lose neutral of he has no bot out

I'm struggling against people who just backdash everything. Minigun is too slow and risky to do. Any tips? All my jumps get 6p too so I'm struggling to get in and deal pressure

This game seems geared more towards fighting sticks. Compared to other fighting games I play the inputs on this game are not easy for standard PS4 controller. And more so my d pad broke recently and I’m sure it’s from me playing this game forcing all those awful inputs. Apart from that enjoy the game apart from lobbies also lol
