The guitarist of the headless guitar is Shiren. He is the founder and main composer of unlucky morpheus. This song is his masterpiece, except for some drums part and lyrics, everything else is backwards. I recommend《knight of sword》live as the next song!🤘🏻
The red guitar (Shiren) is the founder of the band with the vocalist (Fuki). Fuki had the first idea of the band. Shiren is the main composer of the band - he is classically trained pianist. Fuki is the main lyricist of the band.

The other day, Unlucky Morpheus has announced a new side project called Unholy Morpheus. It’s basically the band without the singer Fuki. They said that the sound of the band will be melodic death metal. Unlucky Morpheus already released a song without Fuki in 2022 called “want to LIVE”. I guess their sound would be close to this.

Yes the 1 is the reverse of the other, at 1st it was a gimic, but then I saw them do it live. Both songs were writen at the same time, for the reason of being played backwards, as it fit the idea that Shiren had. The songs came about due to Shiren reading in a newspaper about a company in Switzerland, that was turning the ashes of people in to Dimonds (Which you see fprming in the 1st bit). Then he thought, what if someone really loved the preson, that had been turned in to a dimond, and wanted to bring them back to life, so reverse the process. So that is why he wrote the songs the way he did, and because he knew the band could do it, when no one esle had. Seeing as you like guitar stuff, and you like the drummer from Unlucky Morpheus, Fumiya played in another big Japanese band you may like, as the guitarist maybe one of the best in Japan. Brian, I am thrilled you enjoyed this one, so I'm off to a good start with my recommendations for you! Just some info about the band, which you were keen to know. BAND: Shiren (紫煉) - Guitar, harsh vocals and composition Tenge Fuyuki (天外冬黄) aka Fuki - Vocals Jinya (仁耶) - Guitar Ogawa Hiroyuki (小川洋行) - Bass FUMIYA - Drums Jill - Violin Those more familiar with Unlucky Morpheus than I am will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the sheet music for Revadac is mostly, if not entirely, reversed for the guitars, base, and violin. The solos are certainly reversed, but I'm not sure about every bar. The drum parts are re-written in Revadac, but I believe they kept them as 'close' as possible style-wise. The vocal melody has some small changes in Revadac. As far as the lyrics go, these are two completely different songs. Cadaver is about the death of a loved one and their cremation. There's a process where a person's ashes can be pressed into an artificial diamond. Revadac is about using that diamond to bring the deceased back. The cover videos feature Jinya, Ogawa, Fumiya and Jill. When they play these live, it gives Shiren and Fuki a chance to have a few minutes of rest. If you go on to watch some of Unlucky Morpheus' other videos, you may see Shiren either playing a guitar that is placed on a stand, or not playing at all (in some live videos) - he has tenosynovitis and so cannot hold a guitar or play for extended periods of time, which is presumably also why he uses a light-weight headless guitar. Nice reaction. Drummer Fumiya previously played in the band Galneryus. I recommend their songs "Destiny", "Brutal Spiral of Emotions", "Angel Of Salvation". This band is the best live. All band members are great musicians, but their guitarist Syu... You'll hear it for yourself.
Yes, the music for "Revadac" is the music to "Cadaver" played backward--at least the vocal line and guitar/violin solos. A more common composing technique from the likes of Bach, Handel, Mozart et al Baroque/Classical composers. I don't remember if you've done "Unending Sorceress" from them yet, but it's another top-shelf song that goes much harder.

In the second part the drums and bass are not backwards, they're completely different to match the tempo of everything else being backwards. The vocals are different with different lyrics but the epic operatic chorus is the background are sung in reverse to match the theme.
I would assume they knew going in they wanted a forward and backwards version so they found a word to do that then wrote lyrics that singing forward described Cadaver that would also if sang backwards describe Revadac The lyracist was at a genius level to write a song that sings forward and backwards without missing a beat pun intended. ]:P
