It was close fight with the Enterprise F, so even though it's not a flagship it's pretty powerful. I could see this as a fire support ship class. It's medium sized with moderate shielding but an oversized punch and it's not easy to hit compared to other ships. Obviously, this ship isn't really designed to fight alone, but in a group with other ships. I like to think that the uniqueness of the weapons was designed to deal with Borg threats where having weapon variety helps when dealing with adaptive shields.
@@JeanLucCaptain Yeah, that would be my estimation. Like a destroyer class ship in our modern navy. Fast attack vessel with a heavy weapons compliment but isn't really designed for solo missions. From the profile, it makes me think that it was designed to be quickly built with few scientific or luxury components. And although it seems like it was designed to be fast, it doesn't appear to be designed for solo adventures outside of Federation space like Voyager. If someone got into trouble in or near Federation space, I'd expect 3-4 of these sizes of vessels to show up first. Honestly, I really like the design and the concept of the vessel. It feels like an extremely practical design, birthed out of needs and utility to face sudden and unexpected threats that the Federation didn't have time to over think their response to. Almost a like a Section 31 vessel but with mainstream Starfleet approval.
😲🤗😍Crikey... Mine.. Mine and yes looks like an Akira refit.. ouff.. well against the Ent F.. ouch.. but just a bit more tweeks and perrrrfect..!!! oh my... My Akira normal got blown up but this one love both but this one... Vadic watch out... Very nice battle Captain... the ship looks amazing and I want one.. very nice.. thank you for the video... great battle as always Captain..! 😊🖖
Nice. I always kinda wondered why the ships didn't carry other smaller ships besides shuttles that could actually help in battle. Good to know I wasn't the only one.
Damn…that is one hard hitting ship! I really like it’s almost kitbashed appearance without looking like a lot of though wasn’t put into it. The only criticism I have of the ship is that the weapon bid is hold on by VERY thin pylons.
I think it adds something to the battle to hear the interior sound effects alongside everything outside. There's a reason the TOS phasers are so iconic. Kudos to whoever decided to put the torpedo firing effect for the subspace torpedoes. Though I wonder if these are in the same category as the Son'A isolytic weapons. Do we have a new "warcrimes" torpedo?
For a sec I legit thought that he said "F@ckface" torpedoes instead of subspace. I was getting ready for work and was half distracted and I guess I just miss heard it. Kinda like that name though. I can picture Picard saying it now... "Lt. Worf, fire the F#ckface torpedoes!" Lol. Starfleets new secret weapon.
You mentioned the prometheus having 5 warp nacelles, in multi vector assault mode, it allows each section of the ship to warp independently once its separated. I had that ship in STO when I had a functioning pc
The Prometheus class has five warp nacelles in the base design. One can be extended or retracted from the very top section. The retractable nacelle allows the top section to do warp maneuvers.
I was useing the guncutter class in my mod for star trek armada it's not ment to have all them weapons, it's a work horse for the federation used as a quick response for federation border patrol But here is some beta cannon for u, A cutter is a small patrol craft for in-system use. In starfleet, cutters are used by both the Merchant Marine and Military Operations Commands. These vessels are lightly armed and shielded. Cutters are warp-capable, and their in-system maneuverability is very good. So a guncutter is just a cutter with a few extra weapons this version is more 2380s to 2390s
@retro-badger-gaming Im a geek when it comes to ships of the federation I know most of the classes and design specs but out of all of them I'm proud of the U.S.S. Premonition from star trek armada it's my main go to ship but no one has made a decent model for bridge commander or equipped it properly, iv even been asked to be appart of a fan made production useing the ship but I would come after captain Thaddius Deming and his mission to help captain Picard repel the borg invasion I would be honored to get some tips from a fellow starfleet officer like yourself
If I wanted to nitpick Id say the top nacelles can go away, just aesthetically speaking the upper side has enough going on, and then maaayybe make the nacelle type something a little different that fits better now that it doesnt have a corresponding second pair. But still, its an amazing looking ship, especially compared to anything Trek has recently thrown together.
