Gunsmith Cats? I have heard of this.

Riding Bean and Mad Bull 34 have the most craziest characters. Also now I need to see Gunsmith Cats as well as read the mangas if they really are as crazy as Black Lagoon.

I didn’t know the dude who sung the song in the beginning was who did Goof troop opening talk about nostalgia the whole Ova for riding bean was nostalgic and amazing that’s the thing about old anime I love that keeps me engaged!

Now I see where Road Avenger got its inspiration from! Gotta see Riding Bean!

Riding Bean has gorgeous car action, I watched it in a time when I was excited with Initial D and Redline. Gunsmith Cats is cool and sexy police action. I remember I didn't like it so much the first time (watched it in VHS) but nowadays I have more respect and appreciation for retro anime.

Reading the Gunsmith Cats Manga, it appears that Riding Bean may be set after the second Gunsmith Cats series, Gunsmith Cats Burst, as Bean has his new wheels, "Buff" and Rally is on her own. That being the case, I like to think the blonde hair and lighter skin tone is a disguise, because of her bounty hunter association to the cops, she didn't want to be recognized working with Bean.

Had both ADV DVDs, think I had the VHS of GSC.

Wish we had gotten a proper Manga adaptation of Gun smith cats the series is awesome especially her Nemesis Goldie

I've been wanting to watch Gunsmith Cats for some time but never got to. I might do it very soon. I heard of Riding Bean as well and I will throw that in too. I tend to take more "grounded" crime anime with open arms so I will check them out. I also really like short OVAs since they are so quick to finish and started up a MAL account recently so I can get my anime watch list up higher lol

I love the Gunsmith Cats manga. I tried to watch the anime once, but I didn't get through the first episode. The way the ATF guy blackmailed Rally had me angry just watching it, but the story seemed to be trying to treat him as a sympathetic character and have Rally get along with him, which just felt so wrong. I don't recall her ever acting like such a doormat in the Manga, and it kind of makes me wonder if the anime writers just couldn't figure out how to write a story that didn't have any male leads. I just didn't want to keep watching it after that. Ghost in the Shell: Arise kind of pissed me off for similar reasons.

The creator Kenichi Sonoda left Artmic, which owned the IP to Riding Bean and co-animated the OVA, so he had to create a "new" character for his Manga. So he changed Rally and gave her a new partner. Later on Artmic went bankrupt and their copyright, trademarks went to AIC, who co-animated a lot of their titles. I assume from that point on he was given permission to use the character of Bean again. It be alsome if they bring back gunsmith cats same art style and but voices are obviously not going to be the same maybe it be set in a few years later after the original year most likely both matured up nicely but still the same old same old rally and may we all love

Love getting updates to the new Bean Bandit Kenichi is working on, totally worth the backing and dont think its done yet. Also love these two and the story is thin but the animation quality is insane, and animation is what i like.

I believe Rei Hiroe the creator and writer of Black Lagoon said he was inspired by Gunsmith Cats, which is why we have the most Badass female character in Anime history Revy😍🔥

I owned the Gunsmith Cats DVD a long time ago it was such a great and fun show. I would love to hear your thoughts on Cyber City Oedo 808 and Neo tokyo. Love both of them!

I prefer riding bean, I tried watching gun smith cats but I coudn't finish the first episode it just didn't have that same character dynamic and edgy story telling that reeled me in like riding bean.

I've always been aware of GunSmithCats. But it wasn't until the last several years, getting into vaporwave and Future Funk. That came to appreciate GunSmithCats enough to give it try. My backlog of anime and manga WAS the only thing stopping from jumping into this series. But I think I'm willing to make time for it. I did read the manga for a short time when a library had a couple volumes on the shelf.

AnimEigo has both Riding Bean and Gunsmith Cats available on home video. I was hopeful that Sentai's Hidive would have had Gunsmith Cats available to stream since they technically had it when they used to be ADV.

The English dub is better than the Japanese dub for those 2 anime because it takes place in the US. You know what will it make it even more better and clever? Is that the Japanese people should’ve hired the English voice actors and put the Japanese subtitles on. The English dub should’ve been the original one instead of Japanese. That will be even more better because those 2 anime are set in the US.

I know of an OVA you may like, it's called Saber Marionette R, 3 episodes. It's part of a franchise but you don't need to watch the other ones as it takes place long after them. The only down side is the dub is awful, and not in a funny way.

I have done my research and from every source I looked at it seems Gunsmith Cats THE MANGO is far more trashy and convoluted and really just wants to be porn. OVA is shorter, simpler, but also BETTER. And yes, I bought one of the last Blu-Rays on the planet thanks to a UK connection. IS ANYONE JEALOUS??
