if you cant get the eyecup, instead of taking out the gas tube cover, replace the base stock with the DS150 as it will make the gun lighter and increase ergo for pretty cheap

I did most of it using the OP-SKS from Skier's "What's on the flash drive?" quest, it has most of what is needed.

I got it figured out!! As of date 2/12/24 after the patch. Took a lot of time. List of parts Sks tapco intrafuse chassis Op-sks 520mm barrel Sks tapco 6610 20 round mag Op-sks dovetail mount Op-sks dust cover Sks tapco intrafuse buffer tube Sks tapco intrafuse chassis lower rail Sks tapco intrafuse saw style pistol grip Ar-15 magpul prs gen3 stock Rtm osovets p-2 tactical foregrip Op-sks upper band Sks weapon tuning thread adapter Op-sks gas tube *no rear sight but still is underweight if you have it on* Sks ati monte carlo gas tube cover Akm zenit dtk-4m supressor Vomz pilad 043-02 dovetail mount Sig sauer Bravo4 4x30 scope. I hope this helps everyone! Took me 2.5 hours of trial and error. Ending numbers with these parts. 5.917kg 38 ergo 105 vertical recoil 243 horizontal recoil 348 total recoil Have fun peeps!

also if you dont have jaegger lvl 2 for montecarlo gas tube you can use sks gas tube cover from prapor lvl 1 =D

@@solicitz make sure the gun is repaired and unloaded. It won't give you an audible confirmation like a normal quest. You have to check the task manually

You can swap the "OP-SKS/SKS dust cover" for the "SKS Leapers UTG PRO MTU017 receiver cover mount" and put a "ELCAN SpecterDR 1x/4x scope (FDE)" for the optics part.

If you can manage it, You basically get the entire gun build minus the optic from completing "What's on the Flash Drive".

You can also get the FAB defence version of the OP-SKS if you get really lucky with flash drives. You have to get 2 of them and hand them over to Skier on "What's on the flash drive?" Then all you have to do is to get the scope :>

I think it’s because of the patch today .14.1 where they increased the recoil of the SKS and the quest says the recoil must be under 350 and they have not updated the quest

For those wondering, I was able to complete it by using the second option, taking off the rear sight and the gas tube cover (like he mentioned in the first one). Lastly, I put a foregrip on it. I used the RVG FDE but I'm sure others will work as well.

Noticed that its over-weight with the bottom left "Tapco interfuse" now take that off and it should be fine and under-weight then but still able hand in.

Guys, if it doesn't work for you - remove SKS TAPCO lower rail. Without this, you will be below 6kg.

I think they increased the recoil again with the latest patch. Followed the guide and I still can't turn it in recoil is now at 399 from following the first build

Honestly I tried following this I had so many issues, I decided to stop following and make sure the specs were right and ended up getting everything and still couldnt turn it in, and ended up giving up and selling everything, ill try a different day I guess haha

Beef, Beef, BEEF. Gunsmith 4 is ridiculously easy. Skier's Flash Drive quest gives you an OPSKS, Silencer and 20 round mag. All you have to do is slap a PSO sight with an Eyecup on it and its done, it will complete Gunsmith 4. Why does everyone think you have to use the Tapco stuff?

Wiki is not updated and does not mention the 6kg requirement. Sks got changed and the wiki guide is broken because of the 6kg limit :)
