@@JonathanHenry true story. I never got to see them live with oderus...or at all for that matter. Every time gwar comes my way (buffalo NY) i have my own show to play the day they are here. I'm a working drummer, 20 students a week, in a touring band...its hard to see concerts for me, because i normally have my own :( I used to travel all the time to see shows , but now i'm working too much . guess that isn't a bad thing tho! You know your doing your carrer right when, you are busy!
Sigh... I miss GWAR. This is like a Vegas act. We got pulled over after a show in like 90 and the cop just stood there shining his flashlight around on us speechless. Then he say, "What are you guys up to tonight 🤨"
I got to see gwar with Oderus when they played the Agora with Mushroomhead in Cleveland years ago. Good times. Seriously one of the best concerts I've ever been to. It was just a fun atmosphere, everyone was having a blast.
It's funny, the characters have to be so damn tall when they're gonna do a decapitation to produce the effect (since the fake head is on top of their real one) - that it gives the impression the members of Gwar are all like 4 feet tall :P
You’re so right, GWAR are cool. They’re cool because they don’t just make fun of Biden (FJB, BTW) but because they poke fun at society in general. They make you think with their shows. If you can’t see past the obvious part of the show to the subtext of the show you really don’t deserve to be at a GWAR show
