Thank you for another great video. You did an amazing job 👍. Those wheels look sick!! Always looking forward to ur videos. That stuff looks like it works great and easy to apply. Keep up the great work 💯 👍 🤜🤝
Thanks brother! Appreciate that! Definitely very happy with the outcome. Not shabby for my first wheel coating. Very user friendly coating! Thanks for taking the time to watch. 🤝🤜🤛👍
Very timely video. I just ordered new rims for my C8. I would have used Geon Rim, but didn't like the 1-2 yrs longevity. I'm going with Ethos Graphene. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks Marc!!! Appreciate that! 🤙 Ahhh, yeah the Ethos Graphene coating is great. Just don't see it lasting anywhere near the 5 year claim as it's not designed for wheels. I bet they would last the same🤔🤔 either way, the important part is getting your wheels protected right! Haha, appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Excellent Video! I had a very bad habit of not putting protection on my wheels. I'd wash them, maybe polish or wax but I never put on protection until I saw Fab protect wheels with the McKee's 37 Hydro Blue. That's when it sank in that I should be putting good protection on my wheels also. I had a new set of mag wheels on my Eclipse and they ended up corroding up a little after a year due to winter salt and the wheels on my Kia, same thing. Old habits are hard to break. Now I always apply protection on wheels every wash even if it is just the sprays of the McKee's product. A coating like you did would be even better.
Thanks my friend! Yes, I love hydro blue.. very easy way to put some protection on wheels just doesn't last very long. Now, with this coating that stuff will make maintenance very easy!! Appreciate you tuning in brother!👍🤝
Great job Eric! Those wheels still look brand spanking new bro. Where did you get that roller? Thanks for sharing your coating experience buddy. See you on the next one.
Larry, thanks brother ! Yeah I don't have many miles on em to be honest haha. The roller is from Amazon. I put the link in the description 👍👍 appreciate you tuning in man! 🤝✊️
That was pretty darn cool. I really want to see you doing washing maintenance. Was your car levitating while you had wheels off? Lol. Oh Smurf I'm spoiled. I bought a portable air conditioner for the garage. I know, I know, air conditioning in Wisconsin? We had a small heat wave for 2 days, and man it was nice. Garage is all insulated, so stayed pretty cool. Give wife and kids giant hugs! Great to see ya!
Haha! Thanks Kim! Lol actually yes, it was! But at my shop on the lift😏😁 oh man, stop rubbing it in! I need one! 😫 been so stinking hot! Hahaha, will do! Hope all is well!🤝👍
Smurf that is a good looking shirt! The rims are fire and wow those tires look really good too. Your going to love rinseless washing the rims because it is so easy. I still use Megs wheel and tire cleaner on the tires and scrub them with a brush. Then I have onr in the new electric sprayer from CSW and use this to rinse the tires off. After drying I do use a detailer to go over the wheels again. This works well between contact washes and for contact washes I use Ethos wheel cleaner with iron remover because it is ph neutral. On your car you probably only need to this once a year. Hopefully we can see a burn out on the GSX.
Neil thanks brother! 🤜🤛 I think it's pretty awesome too! Oh yes, I'm really excited to be able to rinseless wash em now that they are coated. I like that electric sprayer! Oh and idk.. it'd AWD so I don't think the burnout will happen🤣🤣
Very interesting video, here in the UK we don't generally have to worry about high temperatures, its usually raining! Is it just a case of wiping on, leave a minute and wipe off?
Thanks Eric! Was very happy with them. Gyeon rim is such a great product! 👍 I bought black wheel weights. Lol I couldn't have them ugly grey weights hahaha. Appreciate you tuning in!
I just did a set of rims with the same coat. I was wondering if i was doing it right and using enough product lol but looks like we have the same remaining after 4x wheels (60%~ of bottle left after 1 full coat) I was also being generous with how much I was dropping. I ended up doing a 2nd coat just to be sure and have about 20%~ left.. I found it hard to 'see' the coating on polished finish of my rim when wiping it off, but it's really easy to see on a satin black part from my experience so far. After it's wiped off, I can't see anything in terms of changes to the finish (my wheels are gloss silver & polished) so that's good to know. I hear some people say it will get more glossy but think it's placebo.
Glad to hear you had similarresults.! . Yes, I can imagine it would be harder to see on the lighter colors for sure. But very easy to work with! Still holding up good on my wheels since this video though! Rinseless washes to clean them👍👍 nothing crazy at all! Appreciate you watching !!!
Very nice job papa someone once asked me how long it takes to polish the rims on my dodge dually I started laughing because they are factory plastic chrome hub covers lol 😂
🤣🤣 man, these newer ones it's hard to tell they are plastic! They did pretty good designing them! LOL thanks Corey appreciate you taking the time to watch!🤜🤛
@@PapaSmurf918Detail I polished my truck for 4 hours on Monday did clay then tried papa cut with urofibre also tried 3d one and ended up using adams all in one with their matching pad and then butter wax came out super nice doing the wife’s Jeep Compass tomorrow if weather permitting have a great weekend thanks 😊
thanks for the vid. The contents are only good for 1 month, apparently, once opened because it air cures. Did you have any concerns with leveling? Gyeon says let it sit for 15 seconds and wipe/buff.
No problem! Thank you for tuning in and watching! No problems whatsoever with leveling. Very very easy. Super user friendly 👍👍 still holding up good to this day. Although it's not a daily driver and is garage kept.. or sees some very spirited driving 😁😁😁
