I love that she can speak about not only her experience as a black woman but also as a Filipino woman. Both are apart of her and her culture and mean a lot to her. Her music touches my soul. I am so excited for what’s next for H.E.R

As a half black half Filipino girl I really look up to H.E.R I don’t know how to explain it, but I fully relate to her feeling too black for the Filipino kids and too Filipino for the black kids. I feel like I finally see a celebrity I feel extremely close too because she knows how to balance the two sides of herself as well as creatively. I guess in short, I love seeing someone who is like me.

H.E.R. has maturity beyond her years. You hear it in the music and see it in her day-to-day actions. She's awesome. I hope young women take note. They don't have to replicate her, but can be inspired to be themselves just as she has. I hope to hear more soulful music. I love how she embraces her Blackness.

I feel like people who have both their parents in their life have so much more confidence and are so much more stable emotion wise and know themselves much better.
