Glad I was able to make it out there and hang out with you guys, was wonderful. (I am only mildly sorry for encouraging the F2000 shooting)

@@JunkyardBashSteveHitting a long range shot like that on a single-shot takes commitment imho. If you miss it's a little while before you get another attempt, so you really gotta line it up.
I remember maining it in Bad Company 2 as a teenager because I thought it looked so rad. Got all the medals for it even though it was the most awful assault rifle in the game on launch. I'm older, wiser... and I still kind of love it. It's my secret shame
At least with the F2000 you're only at risk of getting one's beard caught in the mechanism rather than risk your fingers getting blown off by reaching for the charging handle mounted near the zip22's barrel.
PKM rate of fire seems to slow. Also it has a gas regulator on the front, which could affect the RoF when adjusted, would be a neat feature if implemented!
The main problem with the AVT in life was that it was adopted to supplement the Degtryrev Machine Gun (DP-27/28) due to shortages, so it was issued primarily to automatic riflemen and as you mentioned was a nearly complete failure in it's intended role. Only correction was it was not produced until the end of the war, seeing a very limited run (for the USSR) from summer of '42 until summer of '43 and automatic fire was prohibited by the Red Army around the tail end of the Battle of Stalingrad iIrc.
I think i gotta disagree with you anton, I've said it before but the models keep getting better and better looking, Look at the grain on the stock its very cool. You know what else only gets better over time.... the c8 canadian carbine
you know, i hope one day anton adds in like, the serbu super shorty, but scaled up like the funny kolibri and super m1911, so the shotgun shells are like popcan sized and you need to hold it LMG hip fire style with the pump grip being tilted towards the side "the super duper shorty"

I've been waiting for you to put a PKM in the game for a while... glad it is finally in. I enjoy going out to the range as much as I can but ammo is expensive, but I can always fire up H3 to get a bit of a fix. I enjoy your attention to detail in the game and at least get to fire a few dream arms I'll probably never even see. Looks like you had loads of fun trying some of those out on a range, thanks for sharing all that. As for the F2000, that one seemed not good. I've fired one that didn't have issue and it was a very comfortable thing for me, fit me like a glove - but to each their own.
somehow I missed this gun's addition initially, but I rolled the .308 modernized sten in a take and hold run and was completely baffled. if real it would be so horribly uncomfortable, automatic 308 from an entirely metal frame and stock. worked wonderfully against sosigs though!
Was a fun way to start my friday night. So cool to see a bunch of nerds having fun shooting some machine guns! I think I'd cry tears of joy if I got invited into that vault.
For those asking, yes, the 15 round magazine can be put into the already-existing SVT-40 as a magazine extension. the AVT's 15 round magazine can be topped with 3 mosin nagant stripper clips.
I have a lot of experience with PKM and I know how nicely it kick against your sholder. :) Nice to have it in H3VR now. Shouldn't it be a 100 ammo box, not 200? In reality 200 ammo box is way bigger and can not be mounted on the gun. More of a stationary box to use in defence. Also the belt box has this unique mounting thing as you need to set it in slightly tilted and then it just "klick" to its place. But all in all very nice work!
im so happy this is finally getting added to the game! although i hope the fire rate gets fixed, the ingame fire rate almost seems half that of the video of you shooting it in vegas.

I'm of the personal opinion that every Infantry rifle needs a Bayonet, because the Spear is the oldest human weapon, and a bayonet turns firearm into spear. When in doubt, stick 'em with the pointy end. Seeing you loading the magazine makes me want ammo boxes for the backpack for Non-spawnlock T&H. Also, gotta love the Stovepipe mod adding malfunctions, can't wait for them to calibrate the f2000 with this new data, And that first SPAZ shot as a prime example. hahahaha
I wish I had known about this event with enough time to file a couple 5320.20 forms to bring my MP5K SBR, sawn-off shotguns, Browning 1919a4 belt-fed (7.62Nato conversion), plus transferable/full-auto MP40 & Thompsons (both a 1928 and an M1a1).
Truthfully, I didn't know anything about this event until a few days ago, plus I don't currently have much vacation time to spare off work. However, if I hear about the next one in time. Then I will definitely plan to come and bring all the super cool shit.
finally got around to watching this but I know of a decent range called gun for higher, in NJ around an hour from NYC-- haven't been there (yet) but afaik it's awesome, they've got a ton of cool guns
Hey I'm new to H3VR, but I'm visually impaired. I enjoy the game so far, even though I'm terrible at Take n' Hold. I hope we can get some options for adjusting brightness or making lasers project things other than dots like an X or T shape. Also settings to reduce recoil since I can't get the hang of using two hands. Cool stuff so far though!
Holy shit I guess it in the community post! Glad to see the PKM is here :P although I thought it would have a higher fire rate. But still that would be so fun for sure.
The KR-103 is probably the best US-made AK, and definitely the closest ak-103 reproduction. Just wait for the KR-101 bro. It’s gonna be like having an izhmash AK-74M in a plentiful caliber.
Anton, you and Zach are huge inspirations. I really tried my best to make a VR game but I'm good at the art end and terrible at the coding end. I made a prototype and the whole time I was thinking about how jelly I was that you guys have such solid skill in programming things efficiently and most importantly to me the result is pure VR magic. Anton your magazine releases aren't right on both the SVT and AVT 40. They're both in the "storage" position i.e. folded up. The mag release lever is supposed to be lowered when the rifle is in use, so your thumb can press it like an AK mag paddle.
Sad I couldn't participate in this get-together (I barely trust myself driving long distances, let alone booking my own flight), but I did at least participate in spirit by going to the indoor range while I had Zach's Gun Rants playing in a virtual window. I woulda been the weirdo to pretend we were still in H3 by trying to spawnlock magazines and such.
I’m pretty sure the PKM is an MMG due to Russia never really using LMGs. I know Russia did make a new LMG called the RPL-20 which has been the first new LMG that Russia has made in awhile. The last LMG I know was the RPK-16 and the RPD which I’m pretty sure they stopped using the RPK-16 and I know the RPD was a failure. Correct me if I’m wrong about any of this it’s been awhile since I’ve looked that Russia’s history with LMGs
I would be a happy boy if H3 was the first game ever to make the Spas12 pump and auto fire switchable. No game has ever done this despite it being a feature of the gun.
Man, that looks like it would've been so fun! I live not too far from Vegas and was thinking of showing up, maybe bringing my STEYR AUG A3M1 to shoot, but bailed out last minute due to budget restraints but honestly I should've gone.
Question on the PKM, is it possible to rig it so you can connect your next belt to that clip at the end of the previous one? I'm not sure if that's Russian doctrine, but I know it was fairly common to have your assistant gunner linking more belts on a lot of belt-fed weapons.

At least we gone one in the game i dont have it atm due to funds but if i had the funds i would play take and hold all my days love the work you do keep up the quality even if its rushed i enjoy the updates even if i dont play the game. have fun and stay safe.
It would be awesome if you added emplacements! Maybe even Tanks! I find myself playing around with the mortar and AT weapons but I have nothing to shoot at :/

Have you guys though about adding more Guns from WW1 and WW2 like the MG-08, G98, MAS-38, OVR, Vickers MG, United Defense M42 and the Standschütze Hellriegel M1915??
