I absolutely love SEEN hair care products! Ever since you recommended those, I’ve been hooked. They really do reduce the amount of breakouts I get around the hairline, and my hair looks SO good. I’ve wanted to try their blow out crème for a while, this video just convinced me :)
I’ve been looking for an alternative to olaplex no. 6 for a long time now. I find the older I get the more sensitive to fragrance I become… as good as it smells I need something with no fragrance
One of her old videos has a segment where she gave her input. She essentially said its glamorized fragrance. And that it does not have enough data to support their claims; as in, they've only done internal studies, third parties notwithstanding. Also, every single one of the line No.1 to No.8 are identically concocted with the vehicle; such that, its a money grab to purchase all of the above, only 1 of them would suffice.
No Nothing shampoo and conditioner is amazing for curly hair. You recommended it in one of your videos. It really addresses frizz and makes my hair easier to manage.
I LOVE that kamedis for dandruff (thank you!) , i use that most of the time and then the CLN shampoo every couple weeks as a clarifying because it so strong.
Dr Dray I would love for you to try to style your natural wavy hair!! I have wavy hair with a few curls and it was a bit of a learning curve but it’s nice to be able to wear it natural and have it look nice.
Yay! I’ve been trying hair samples too. Oribe didn’t lather and sticky, Amira shine mask is ok but not purchasing, Briogeo don’t despair, repair shampoo, conditioner, mask are great so far. Very fragrant though but I like smell in my hair care. Biolage shampoo and mask great! I’ve been buying the Aquis hair towel for gifts and each time I chose the hair care samples. So month of June has been hair month. It’s been fun! Happy Friday! 💕💕💕
Blowdrying dry hair just makes it slightly straighter but it will still be frizzy, try to damp your hair slightly with a spray bottle put your blowout cream then use the blowdryer.
Very helpful and timely. I struggle to find hair products just as much as keeping an eye on skin care products. It is the hidden pain I have on some days, my scalp gets irritated with hairsprays, creams, and hurts to touch. So I don’t blowdry or style much. I started clarifying once a week due to the high chlorine in the water where I have been renting for 18 months, and just picked up the Garnier fructis, thanks! I’d like to try Seen. My hair is thick, coarse, wavy. I would love if you tested some leave ins that are not prone to cause scalp irritation. I do try to keep products away from scalp too. I really appreciate your information. Have a great day.
I love hair care! In always switching up my shampoo and conditioner. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the ones you've been using. And except for Biolage , I haven't tried any of the ones you showed so I'll be making a list of ones I might like to try. Thanks so much! Happy Friday, Dr Dray!! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fun and fabulous weekend! 💞
I use the Aussie miracle moist (shampoo and conditioner), for over a year now, and I love it!!! I have very thick and long hair and it's the first time in my life they look so healthy.
I am loving amika the kure shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. I have color treated hair that is very frizzy and isn’t tamed by almost any product I’ve ever tried. The hair mask is amazing and has been a lifesaver for my hair
I really like Paul Mitchell’s The Conditioner. It’s a leave in conditioner that I use for shaving my legs, moisturizing my skin after a shower as well as my hair.
I watched one of your older hair videos recently where you talked about the "no nothing" brand. I have been dealing with some acne on my neck right where my hair hits, and although it's not terrible, I thought I'd give this brand a try to see if going fragrance-free helped and within days the appearance of my neck improved. It has also helped with my occasional scalp itchiness. I have the moisture line with the shampoo, conditioner, mask and a spray to use when my hair is damp. I plan on ditching fragrance in hair care for the foreseeable future. Thanks for sharing those! Plan to try Function of Beauty next.
@Betty Beaversnatch yeah it's great, I was going to try Function of Beauty but it's more money so I figured I'd try a cheaper option first just in case going fragrance free didn't improve anything
I have recently found and am enjoying the Argon shampoo from Trader Joe's. The conditioner isn't "conditioning" enough for me, but the shampoo is lovely.
I have used and repurchased mon platin professional black caviar and natural silk hair mask. Smells great too. Bought it on the Amazonian like Andrea says
I was going to try function of beauty customized but there were so many negative comments from users on their website. It was weird how many comments there were. I had to wonder if it was a scam to try to ruin them but it turned me off. Your recommendation is very helpful
I also LOVE the Biolage hair mask. I have recently gone back to using Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo and Intense Hydrating Mask and I love the combination for my hair. And that signature scent in all their products- simply divine!
Oh, I had that feeling with the Ordinary shampoo as well. The conditioner was great for my hair, but the shampoo I could not use. Ended up using it as a "hand" soap on my sink 😛
I was using plaine refillable shampoo and conditioner. My favorite is the vanilla rosemary one. Then I tried the pattern shampoo and condish. I didn’t like using the shampoo everyday as it made my scalp itchy but I loved the conditioners. Especially the leave in condish. My usual go to though is the redken cleansing cream. Right now the redken and pattern leav in conditioner is my fav…
I would like you to actually try the olaplex shampoo and conditioner, OR other bond building/strengthening shampoos and conditioners (wella, loreal, age beautiful) etc.
I started using TGIN miracle hair repair mask last month and I really like it. I use it once a week and it stopped the ends of my from being brittle and dry. Not crazy about the smell but it works and that's enough for me.
I am currently using Maui moisture shampoo and conditioner (pink bottle) and I love it. It is not very expensive, doesn't weigh my hair down and conditioner is very moisturizing. As a heat protectant I like bumble and bumble invisible oil
I love Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo and conditioner It tingles and gives that cool minty feel. I love olaplex #6 bond smoother after my showers when hair is damp. It makes my waist length hair smooth, soft, and easy to get the brush through.
have been needing this, tq dr dray! Btw would u still recommend the paula choice fragrance free shampoo and conditioner? Since i am kinda interested to try those out
Because i’m loosing my hair and they get thinner, I intend to avoid sophisticated products wit too many promises and fragrance. This is why I was very motivated to try the Ordinary combo. I do double cleanse starting w my regular shampoo and finish with Ordinary. Conditioner is great. I leave it on my hair while I’m showering my body. Maybe it helps to compensate for the dullness left by the shampoo….idk. QUESTION: i came to read about sulfate in shampoos. Is it really bad? And how Ordinary compares (4%sulfate) with others? I understand they all have sulfate…thank you Dre Dray!!
Can you please do a video on shampoos or hair routines for women that are losing hair? I have some bald spots and don't know which shampoos to use. Thank you
Loved your last comment. I add water to hair products to use the last bit. I cut the tubes open on skin care to get the last bit. Waste not, want not.😂
I use the function of beauty the yellow bottles for coily hair and I add the pod for colored hair. It’s pretty good but next time I’ll get the wavy hair one
The ordinary one is amazing for men especially! Aka short hair. I can use it daily if I have to and i love it. Definitely will be repurchasing. Function of Beauty is great but so expensive 😭
My hair is quite long now and I'm still happy with my Aldi (Australia) Protane Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo and matching Hydrating Conditioner. It's from Aldi Australia (blue bottle gold lid OGX dupe). I don't know if it's available in other countries. Like skin...who doesn't want hydrated hair? My hair is naturally straight and very flat. This shampoo doesn't give my hair that fly-away just washed look. I have been styling it into waves/loose brushed-out curls with (bendy end) sponge rollers using my (flaxseed) DIY setting lotion, and sometimes curling tongs. I do need to use dry shampoo to give root lift and prevent my natural oiliness (normally Girlz Only, sometimes Aldi/VO5,/Batiste Wonder Woman packaging!). My hair is colour treated all over blonde and still looks healthy. Now that I'm back at work (after a long break), I've had lots of compliments on my hair already. I unfortunately I won't be able to stay up to 2am quite as often to see Dr Dray's daily videos asap.☹ 👱♀️❤
After yers of having an itchy scalp and trying everything I now use Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser as my shampoo and my scalp and hair are doing great. I use Honest Conditioner Sensitive Fragrance Free. Haven't tried any of the products from today's video but if I find what I'm doing isn't working any more will give them a go.
Thank you for all your information, really appreciate it. I am wondering if this list of hair care products you recommend for fine curley unruley brittle hair with chronic telogen effluvian. Shampoo and Condition and Leave in care you rercommend. Thank you so much!
I am a big fan of the Kerastase hair products. After my liver transplant (5 yrs ago) I lost ALOT of my hair & it was devastating! My friend/hairdresser suggested using the Kerastase Extensioniste scalp serum. It's pricey, but my hair came back healthy & shiny. From there I started using the other products & have been really pleased!
Another timely report for me from Dr. Dray as I am trying to figure out what to do about my recent hair loss due to shedding and why this is occurring in the first place. I have colored my hair at the same professional salon for over a decade, had food poisoning last winter and my gut took months to heal, along with much life stress, and new medications, the variables are difficult to isolate. I started a supplement called Visical 30 days ago and am using shampoo and spray on treatment called ProDesign Revive TH. I'm wondering if it's time to cut and layer my past shoulder length hair. The Ordinary scalp serum arrived today. All helpful tips appreciated...I'm getting more stressed which is going to cause even more shedding!!!
Telogen effluvium ,I am a long time stylist and am seeing so much of this post co vid in my clientele and myself.the shedding lasts about 3 months,I know how awful and scary it feels but I assure you it will all grow back.focus on regrowth now, diet, nutrition, rest, and gentle products.Mary Ruth organic s makes a hair liposomal that is amazing,as are prenatal vitamins w iron.you got this, now is the time to get that cut you’ve been scared to try💜
Try the Kerastase Extentioniste Scalp Serum. It really helped my hair come back after my liver transplant. It nourishes the scalp so the hair comes back healthy. Good luck...I've been there!
I like using a sandalwood paddle brush that has sandalwood bristles. Mine lasted 6 years, and I'm now looking for a replacement. I don't know that it does anything more than a normal brush, but I like how it smells and feels.
Hi Dr. Dray, Thanks for this video. Like your earrings! I have used Biolage shampoo & conditioner & the balm. Very good products. I would love to see your hair wavy as you take it down in the morning. I imagine that you would look good with wavy hair! Have a good day! Yay Friyay!
I use the Vatika Naturals Hair Mask in Lemon, cheap compared to Briogeo moisture superfood mask. Would like to see you review the acidic glazing sprays to use between shampoo and conditioner such as L'Oreal EverPure In shower acidic
Can you try out the Pantene Pure and Clean clarifying shampoo fragrance free. I've heard mixed reviews about the ingredients causing allergic reactions
Hi Dr Dray! I've been using Giovanni shampoos and conditioners from their Eco Chic line for the last 15 years or so. I really like them. It would be great if you'd try them and review them!
What are you thoughts on the color wow money masque?! The line by Chris Appleton! I hear a lot of rave about it and curious on your breakdown of the product
Hi, it would be great to see you try out the Dr Ceuracle scalp dx scaling shampoo and see what your thoughts are on the formulation and the results. I've been using it for about two months now and I feel that it's really been helping my scalp. Thanks
Regarding anti-dandruff shampoo: I used to use Head & Shoulders forever but it did nothing for me. Come to find out I have scalp psoriasis so I looked to see if there was a H&S for psoriasis. There wasn't in the U.S. But I saw someone recommend the "H&S Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo" because it supposedly prevents hair loss by exfoliating the scalp. I only found it in a European shop and the bottle is in Portuguese. I sent for it and it as been working SO WELL. I don't know why H&S can't sell it in the U.S.!
I would love to know your thoughts on bar shampoos. I am always trying to cut down on the amount of plastics I use, and am interested in using a bar shampoo, but don’t know what ingredients to look for.
Have you tried any of the Love Beauty and Planet hair care products? I am currently using the Coconut Milk and White Jasmine line. It smells great. I really like how quickly both the shampoo and conditioner rinses out of my hair. The rose scented line is also nice.
hi dr dray ! curious to know how you feel about sun / uv protection leave on sprays meant for the actual hair strands , wanting to know if they are truly effective or just a marketing gimmick . i know sun bum makes one
Hi Dr dray, would you please review the Summer fridays new mineral sunscreen? As someone with darker skin, it completely dissappears and I'm worried it's too good to be true. Would love to know your expert opinion.
Could you recommend a shampoo for baby fine thin hair that wouldn't cause build up please. Hair is not color treated. Everything I try builds up after 2 washes. I appreciate your advice. Thanks so much. I enjoy your videos. Your hair is gorgeous.
I just finished my second bottle of the Kamedis shampoo and I LOVED it. I started to notice little flakes and they disappeared as soon as I started using that shampoo. Now I'm using the ordinary shampoo and it lathers on me, so I'm not sure why it's not for everyone else.
That's interesting. I wasn't going to bother with it but now I will give it a try. Do you like the conditioner. Maybe they will come out with a hair mask. Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@christinekeleher3578 I actually really like the ordinary conditioner. I have really dry hair that's heat damaged and that conditioner almost feels like an oil coating my hair and it leaves it a lot more manageable and softer. I was really surprised. It honestly kind of feels more like a mask on my hair than a normal conditioner.
Did you hear anything about a new retinoid Trifaroten? My new derm has recommended me a gel called Selgamis with trifaroten along with an antibiotic cream Acnatac. It worked like a dream, I couldn't recognize myself in the mirror even on the next morning. Neither acne nor fine lines. It's just fantastic 😅
I’ve read a lot of questions about Olaplex and I have used no. 0 and no. 3 together as a hair treatment for at least a year. I have chin length fine wavy gray hair and I am not impressed with this product. I just don’t see the healthy results that I would expect, the most I get is my hair is shinier. Save your money and purchase some of the products Andrea recommends because if they don’t work you haven’t wasted a lot of money.
