It's all pretty good when you still have your side frontals in tact to make your unit blend in like yours but when they seem to disappear to the back now that's a different ball game my friends
makes sense. But most do have back and side hair and its not a total loss. If there is an issue with the back and sides, I agree this is probably not the right path
I just subscribed and you are about to have a new customer. Your vids are great...very natural and I believe that most of your subscribers believe in what they hear from you so I truly hope, for their sake and those yet to come, that you are as truthful and as straightforward as you seem to be to all o' us plebes.....as for me, longevity isn't a issue as I prefer to just replace a unit every month or so just to keep it all looking as real and as "fresh", so to speak, ad possible. ..so...I will be looking forward to my first unit which is actually in stock!!!!....and ifit as good a quality as youitterate the I will instantly order another as I always like to have a "spare" onhand. Keep up the great vids...you do a great service to those new to this.....
The UK makes some of the best hair systems and last 6 months to a year. I’ve talked to a handful of people who have told me great things about our of country hair systems
Great video Curtis, I'm gonna try a poly system myself next, just to give it a go, wanna see how long I can get out of it! And the hairline looks great.
Hey Curtis, I've been wearing poly systems for about 6 months now and I've thought about trying Swiss lace. If you have time, it'd be great to see a video about what to do differently maintenance wise (knot sealer, lace release etc.). Thanks again for putting out great content!
@Dark Dream I've been using a 0.03mm poly for 4 months now and had no issues with it being too delicate. Would you say Swiss lace is more delicate than 03 poly?
I am just getting started and trying to learn as much as I can before I begin. I have a lot of fear but I want hair so badly. Should I find a hair stylist that has knowledge about the hair systems and take the whole kit? I guess I just need to pick a date and just do it. Really there are some people that just don't care and are blatant about it, You know someone that has long (model like) Blond hair and you know there is no way they could ever physically produce hair like that. But, If it's done right it really can look good!
Your front hairline here looks so much better, previous one looked a little fake but this one looks terrific. Saw your previous video on plucking hairline, how did you do this one?
@@HairExperience whaaaat. Thats less than ceap. In Germany they sell far more unrealistic hairsystems for more than a thousand euros. But lets say a buy one of those hairsystems. How is its size adapted to my head if I order it in the internet?
Our invisiskin. Density on my products are different than others. My density is made a certain way. By my staff to my specs. That’s our “stock” products.
Thank you for putting this information out!!!!! I am very very interested in doing this. Now, the biggest question I have, is how do I get a template made??? You have a section shaved to receive your piece. It obviously has your scalp shape and curves. Who does that part???? Send me a message. I would like to know how it feels to have hair one more time. I am 42 and lost my hair at 30. You know what that it. I can grow hair around my head except for top and front. Just like you. Text me anytime , please
Currently I am considering getting a new hairpiece. I haven't worn one in 8 years due to a past health issue. Iam surprised to hear you say right now that the average length of time for a piece is 3 months tops. I used to keep mine a year. Ok now you're thinking I'm one of those who have or had in this case, one that looked like a dead rat on my head. That is as far as wrong as can be. I had some barbering experience back in the day but gave it up for a new career. So I know what to do. In fact some of the most experienced barbers were shocked I had one. Here's the thing. I don't know where to go anymore. My 3 barbers who specialized in hairpieces have literally died. Two of them tragically in a car accident. Can you possibly give me an idea where I can go in my area? Iam in the 44060 zip code. I enjoy and subscribe your channel. Thanks
Hi Ronald !! Yeah thats correct. 3 months is average. Back in the day people made them last a long time. But that comes with a SERIOUS cost of it looking terrible. I pulled up your zip code too. Unfortunately we do not have a trusted stylist in your area. Ill be happy to reach out to my clients in your area if your a hair client of ours to see where they go and trust. Our network is building all the time with trusted stylists !
@@HairExperience Thanks so much. I wish I had a photo to show you how good me and my brother looked and how we took care of them. Yeah it was timely in the morning, mirror in front and back but it worked. Thanks for your help
Looking good and thanks for all the videos. I'm new at this buying your book for sure! What system are you wearing during this video and witch cut did you go for? Do I see a little gray action going on in the system?? Like I said looks good brother! :)
Hi mate great videos, I got a system 3 weeks ago from a reputable salon at first I was just extremely happy that I looked like I did a few years back ( I’m only 24 with bad case of baldness) , now the novelty has worn off the hair seems to be very dry despite me conditioning it and putting leave in conditioner in it daily, I also let it dry naturally but it seems to be getting dryer! I’m now having second thoughts I really want to get another as it’s changed my life but I just feel the quality isn’t there, the guy who done it says the pieces vary “one time it might be. Ore Curley another more dry next time you might get a smoother finish) it doesn’t seem. Very consistent! I get charged 600 gbp every time I buy an new system and get it fitted, which I was advised to do every 4 months and on top of that 25 pound every 2 weeks for a haircut at the sides to blend in and once a month it’s 90 pound to get the system taken of and reapplied, the money is mounting up which is ok but i want smooth looking hair like yourself any tips?
Stevie B, love the name by the way. Thats an artist from my day!! Dry hair can come from- Hard water, bad products, bad hair, etc. It honestly may not be the units fault but it also could be bad quality hair. Its normally one of two things. Bad hair or products used. Talk with the salon that you got your hair from and make sure your using the right products for the job and tell them your concerns. See what they say
Hey Mr. Just caught your video on this subject. Seriously considering a hair system. The one you got on looks devine 😁🙇👍 What base is it? I like the fact the hair line looks super natural ....
hey curtis awesome vids man. my question is. what density is your system? and also do you offer hair cutting, like a specific style such as a undercut brush back? thanks so much
Thanks buddy!! Mine is a 65% density. We do not offer a cut in service. This is because I feel that the hair MUST be blended on the clients head. This is impossible on a mannequin head. I do not want anyone out there to look crazy!!
Hey Curtis- merry Christmas! Hey have u ever dyed the hair on your system? The problem I’m having is the color fading. If u have done so can u do a video on it ?
The standard leave in conditioner I use is Pro Hair Labs leave in, Ive also used Pro Touch leave in from Hair Direct. Both are good but the Pro hair labs has additives that are not found in the pro touch product. The unit will last longer if the Pro Hair Labs leave in is used
Hello sir, thanks for sharing your experience i am a new subscriber 🙂 i have my front receiding and i am looking for a system which has the best and natural hairline because i style my hair back side just like yours (which looks awesome ! ) After watching some of your videos i am thinking to buy a poly system but does it looks more natural than a lace system concerning the hairline ? What i want specially is less density on the front edges with an imperfect line (not straight) and the visual effect of hairs coming directly from the scalp. Thanks !
I don’t understand how a French lace can last longer than Swiss lace, as the hair is just knotted to the lace the same way. So what dose it have to do with the base? Surely the life span has more to do with the way the hair has been knotted to the base?
Hey Curtis... I'm a little behind on some of your videos. I'm looking at getting my second unit from Top lace. They suggested a poly since I was struggling with my Swiss lace. But I heard Pollies are not as breathable, and since I have a lot of allergies I'm not sure if that would work. I heard they're easier to clean up though and bond. But they don't look as natural in the front what did you think? Also I would love to see some videos on how to cut the stock piece when you get it. Do you make a mold of your head and cut around that? Also videos on bleaching knots you talked about that. Hope your good man!
Frank, thanks, im good. as for the poly, use tape around the back and sides, Glue up front. Clean up is fairly easy and yes on the mold (template). Id send that to toplace and have his stylist cut the base to the template (well worth 15 dollars), it will save you time and effort.
ok, so I have been watching your videos but have not seen how long your specific systems have lasted you. Do you still have them all and all are usable including the mono? Or have some worn out and are unusable? How long did they last individually, for you until you had to discard them?
I just started wearing hair. The place i go to charges me 650.00 a unit. custom 1000.00. I also started wearing a lace system and now she wants to change to a poly which she says is stronger. For example .03 hers is something like .10 not sure if thats correct. I so confused because not sure which way to go. also the hair once i have product in it feels so thick. Ok i hope i hear from you. thanks for the videos i' m hooked
We can do that as well. But the unit base is the issue. Mono base with virgin hair, high cost and not super comfortable. Also the hairline of this unit is not the best. The thing is, longevity and realism usually do not go together very well
I was told the same. lol Just have to take your time and be easy with it, works like a champ. Ive done it on .03 new gen and .05mm systems with no problems
I had French lace and decided to go with a poly found it way way too hot and the glue was braking down in 4 days ( the lace I could get two weeks no prob ) any views on this? Watch every video have the ebook just couldn’t get a poly system to work well
Hey, absolutely. Recommending something is tough. It really depends on your situation and what your wanting to do. The very last video I did actually goes over this exact question. That may help!
When you say you start dying your systems after 2-3 months I'm assuming that's bc of some color fading? Also is it fair to say that the main issue with lace is the glue going through the base?
Sean, yes. This is during the summer when im super rough on my hair. Pools, ocean, on the boat etc. No to the second question. If the bond is installed right, there will never be a time it will go through the lace.
I just got a poly perimeter unit. Can I just paint the glue onto the the poly perimeter, wait till it dies, then attach to head, without painting the glue on my scalp as well?
@@HairExperience Ghostbond instruction say one layer on the poly, several on the skin. I just don't know how I'm going to trace my hair line w that glue. I like putting tape on the base of my unit and putting it on like a hat. I noticed you tape to scalp
Hello, could you tell me and help me with accuracy what is the system you are using in this video and what it cost is approximately I will thank you forever since I am about to ask for one with the same front and density thanks and regards from Mexico
Hey I'm about to buy my first system and I'd like to go with the best hair line which is as you say the poly. I want to know is the poly a system I can learn as a first system? I'm figuring why not learn the better system that the industry will only improve rather then the French lace. I do have an ace in my pocket that many men don't have and that's my Wife is a hair dresser and she has worked with the lace types when men bring them in. PS incredible hairline! When I first tried a system years ago the hair line was so bad I wore my ball cap out of the place. went home to try to work it better but nothing worked other then cover the hair line. A week later I had it removed. $2800 lost.
Oh also I love the way your front hairline looks. What kind of shape did you shape that into? A V shape a u shape period again a video on how to shape it and cut it when you get it would be great.
And what kind of unit are you using now? Like I said I have skin rashes and allergies. And I heard the Polly doesn't breathe. But easy clean up. And since I had a lot of bonding issues I think this one might work better thand Swiss lace. I'm going to go with toplaces stock units because it's taking them seven wants to custom order. Which one do you suggest?
What system are you wearing? What am I looking for on your website? I need the exact system with lighter density than you have. I need the invisible base front to back. I've worn french lace for 2 years and would like to try something invisible.
Hi Curtis I have a question, I wear a wig but every time I take a bath my hair falls and not only, and when I brush. you can guide me where I can buy, one wich to not have this problem or this is normal??
Hello, After 3 months of using the system, the hair goes very brittle and even after using the conditioner it remains super rough. Can you suggest some product to use on the systems
I use a 3 minute miracle deep conditioner about every two weeks. Works good. Also moroccan conditioner about twice per week. This is one of the big things that im going to stress about hair systems in the future. I truly feel they are only good for about 4 months in extreme conditions. Some people get more, but I feel thats about all they are good for
I know it will sound typical. It’s totally up to you. I used to prefer lace now it’s poly. Just have to try each and see what your preference is. Is all a personal choice
I have a problems with the shining on the front I use tape & ultra glue Can u tell me how to reduce the shining thing from the front Now I bought thin skin hair .. should I use a tape .. what should I do am just new at it 😤😢
Its good you still have your temple points. When there is a lot of temple recession these systems don't account for it and on some men the system looks weird......like a lid.....yours looks good.......thanks.
Do you find that lace styles more easily than poly? I've been styling a short quiff haircut for almost 6 months with a poly system but I get lots of flyaway hairs at the front which annoy me. Is this because if the V loops that cause the hair to want to lay flat?
Hey Joshua, not really they are each about the same. Both have their quirks. The vloops do not cause that. Its a styling thing for sure. I get them from time to time as well. I just use a little hairspray and im good to go. Hope that helps
Hey man, whats best way for me to do this, i have everything the hair the glue etc, should i shave all my hair and attach it then go the haircutters to get it styled? i have a lace one and do i need to wear something under it? or just glue the lace striaght onto the head? can you go to any haircutter and theyll cut your hair like a sportsclips? sorry lots of questions and not sure which to videos to click on
Hey, thanks for reaching out. There is a lot of questions there for sure. What I do, I install the unit and then go to the stylist and she trims the hair like a normal haircut. There is nothing to be worn under it other than the glue and scalp protector. As for going to any stylist. No, this person needs some experience with hair replacement. Im here to help, watch some more videos, get my Ebook, knowledge is key!
hi, there is really only one hairline. But some do this and it works fine. maybe some plucking and refining to the pieces that do not come from the hairline that may work
So everytime you need to replace the hair system you need to go to a salon and go through the entire process of making the template and getting it re cut?
Jake, no not at all. The template is always the same unless you get some further balding that needs to be covered. When you need a new unit, you can install yourself at home and then go to the stylist to have the cut in done. Hope that helps
@@HairExperience Sir, which system you are using in your video is it lace or poly?I want to have a system but the problem is i never had it before and no idea which size of template and hair type. Your response will be greatly appreciated.
@@HairExperience is it possible to order even without template?I've made check your website in order section that need to send template and hair sample as well.
Can you tape the whole lace base right around and still get a decent hairline? Does the tape last longer than the bond? Because I go to the gym 3- 4 days a week but nothing to crazy where I'll be sweating like crazy and I work in an air conditioned building all day for my job. Also, if I was to tape the whole base around can I still go swimming with it or at least lay at the beach all day? Not to mention I am Canadian and our summers are just right not like yours ha. Thanks
Hey there I am a boxer and was wondering which system would suit me best . Iv found in sparring with the head guard on my system comes loose I use ghost glue with a lace system could you please advise how I can stop this and avoid embarrassment Thanks
Hey curtis i am planning to order a system from toplace soon....they have names i dont understand....help me out please.....i need a system that lasts a year long with very gentle handling and a decent hairline visibility....heat and sweat never really matter for me
Hey thanks i love your videos very informative but can you tell me if its natural for a thin skin system to feel like a plastic bag or sound like a plastic bag on the top of your head as when i run my fingers thru it and or touch the top of my head it sounds like a plastic bag just wondering if this is normal or i didn't get it on all the way tight enough thanks Kevin from Washington state
HairExperience HairExperience if you can do video on how to thin, to reduce density ( including from roots) that’ll be great, thanks, your videos are quite inspiring!
With wigs and hair toppers, you just get tweezers and pluck here and there until it looks normal. Look up wig tutorials, how to make them look natural. Lots of tips and tricks. :)
