Instead of consistently washing our sebum away, full coverage should be the goal. Our hair and skin crave and needs it. I’ll show you how to test, regulate and take advantage of your sebum production levels.

1:22 That sounds like race science. Black people and white people are biologically the same. So the differences are due to hair care.
@GreenBeauty
@GreenBeauty 3 года назад
No, black people and white people are not biologically the same. Depending on what region of the world your ancestors are from ... your biological make-up differs. For the most part, we metabolize food differently. The structural and chemical makeup of our hair and skin has differences. I could go on and on. And guess what, its okay that we are different. If we were all the same that would be boaring. It’s time we start embrace and appreciating our differences rather than acting like they don’t exist.

@@GreenBeauty How do black people metabolize food diferently to white people and do you have academic evidence of this?
@GreenBeauty
@GreenBeauty 3 года назад
@@liawatson5789 You really should take some time to self reflect on why it bothers you so much that people have REAL differences base on RACE. White supremacy is a system that was bread from a deep inferiority complex. It keeps whites from seeing others as separate UNIQUE full functioning humans. If you were thinking clearly, our physiological, biological and psychological differences won't bother you at all. You will definitely notice them OBJECTIVELY as opposed to SELFISHLY ignoring and denying them. Have you ever heard of "Asian Flush" or "Lactose Intolerance" among Africans/Black People? I got a shiny face too! Maybe that's why they say "black don't crack". I recently found out I have relatively oily scalp too via my water wash challenge. Green beauty's regimen has been working beautifully for me this month. I started over again 2 weeks ago and have 50% coverage and my low porosity hair is sooo moisturized and hydrated without using products or oils aside from the natural dye-free, silicone-free rinse out conditioners I'm using on my ends after my water rinsing. I've basically been relying on my rose water or aloe water and sebum. Sebum is the perfect twisting product because it gives shine, hold and reduces shrinkage.

Hi! I am now in my 6th year of not using shampoo in my scalp. My hair is fuller and healthier than when I used shampoos and I will never go back to using shampoo. I'm really glad I found your video and that finally someone else knows that sebum is the natural conditioner. That said, my scalp produces masses amounts of sebum and 3 days after my ACV rinse my long hair is so darn greasy it's disturbing to me. So when I watched your highly educational video and it came to minute 5:00 it made sense. Of course, there's gotta be an imbalance in my hormones. So I am in the process of giving my body a chance to get back to a natural state. No shampoo, no sugars, no carbs (anti-migraine treatments), more fitness for my whole body with rowing indoors and that should help greatly and maybe my hormones will calm down. We'll see! Thank you for making this video, the hormonal imbalance is another key puzzle in my search for a healthy body. Have a really good day! Anna

My hair began falling out a lot on one side of my hair (stress and scalp issues). Because of this my hair is not as dense as it once was. I’m also noticing that I produce less sebum on the side of my hair that experienced more shedding. I was also diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis which I think developed because I excessively oiled my scalp for a long period of time. Currently healing myself inside and out, scooping and spreading my own sebum and I’m happy to say that for the first time I haven’t needed to oil my scalp and my scalp is not flaky or severely itchy. If your ends don't have any sebum yet, just take them and rub them on your scalp until the sebum get further down. Things you can put on your hair without stripping the sebum: Aloe vera and okra gel, fermented rice water for protein, mashed bananas for conditioning and softening the hair. Look at RU-vidr "Water only hair wash", that's where I got most of my info.

Luv how you gently slid nail polish & petroleum in there towards the end. 😉 I've been doing less nail polish for a while now. Yet, the skin on my hands & nail cuticles have always been dry like the desert! They are often painful, crack, and bleed. After trying an assortment of oils, creams & even shea butter, I have had to resort to petroleum jelly to care for them... ugh. I know you are the hair guru 💗... but just wondering if you can share any insights about dry skin & nail cuticles. Thank you so much for all you do for the hair community.

i love your channel and I have been doing the scoop and pull method since I first watched the other video. I got sistelocks two months ago and my scalp some times itches tooooooooo much. Can you do a video on the locking process and the scalp. Honestly I do not use any products.... just water and a gentle clarifying herbal shampoo. Actually my last wash I went back to rinsing with fermented rice water... i think this time I will use the onion water and rice water.... would love to know your thoughts.... 💕

I am so happy to discoverer this exclusive hair channel. U r really a hair guru. U explain so elaborately I am definitely going to b following u. So now my question goes this: is the sebum the dirty stuff on your scalp. Sometimes when I scratch my scalp i finger nails are filled up with black dirt. I usually know it’s too much dandruff build up and dirt. So is that the sebum you are talking about?? If yes then I always have it after a week after washing. How do I stop that.

When ever I say something about using your own sebum and not putting all that crap on your scalp, people just think I am crazy. You can use some organic water based things on the scalp and hair and it will not take away your sebum.

Brownmahfun what kinds of water based things? The bottom of my hair doesn’t have any sebum yet and is kind of dry, but I don’t want to accidentally strip the other part of my hair. Thanks!
@Brownmahfun
@Brownmahfun 5 лет назад
