my hair is naturally very dark brown and i did my own silver ombre by bleaching it once every 3 months for a year and then alternating metalic blue and purple dyes until they faded to silver. and then i met Naomi Smalls and she complemented my silver ombre and i said i did it myself and she was like "i see you" 😭❤️

I love that he doesn’t necessarily discourage at home hair or shame people for doing their own hair but instead educates people on how to do it properly. I’m a stylist as well and I have a lot of friends who can’t afford to go to the salon to get their hair done. I give them very cheap rates bc I’ve also been there myself. But some people don’t have that and if they want fun hair they kind of have to do it themselves. So I appreciate that he instead chooses to educate them.

Well, morw like purple and yellow. Complimentary colours kind of cancel each other out and give you grey-ish tones, also known as coloured black in watercolour circles (because in watercolours at least sometimes you still get some undertones of either).

As someone who has dyed their own hair many times, going from black to a lighter color is hard. I have a red undertone to my hair, so it ends up strawberry blonde/orange when I bleach it. I thankfully went ginger after going black, so it was not terrible

Yes, and sometimes it's a bad thing. I recently bleach bathed my hair to death. It's literally breaking off and it will be a very long time before I can even think about bleach again. I never even considered using bleach at home until I watched these videos. I learned my lessons though. Overlapping bleach, and bleaching too often is no Bueno.

He’s wayyy less problematic then the beauty community however I do want to point out that he did put the vegan symbol (you can’t just put that symbol on your products, it has to be approved) on his hair products and they were not even vegan. I kinda wish he would discourage people from doing their hair at home...and if watching people ruin their hair dosent discourage people from doing their hair at home....also if someone has to watch a video to "learn" how to dye their hair they shouldn't do it.. People can buy cheap wigs, bundles, or clip ons if they cant afford a professional(and most of those options are cheaper than dyes and hair bleach lol😂).

I honestly love splotchy hair and I can’t wait to do my hair like that. It’s just difficult to figure out how to “mess up” when all everyone talks about is fixing the mistakes. Plus, I stopped giving a shit about how my hair turns out when I saw the fails (I can always just shave my head).

I've been watching Brad Mondo's videos for about a year, and because I always listened to him I've never had my hair falling out from bleach (even though I've bleached it a ton of times and I'm black so have curly hair), I've botched it like once (stained my hair green for a while) but fixed it by using colour therapy, and now it's a gorgeous purple with red undertones. Y'all need to listen to this man more. He's like the God of Hair
