It was a crisp autumn morning, and the boys of Anchor Brand Ranch were up early, getting ready for a long day of work. Halloween was just around the corner, but there was no time for trick-or-treating. They were headed to Utah to work with cattle for a few days, and then it would be a long drive back to Nevada to help their dad with the ranch.
Riley, Rance, Ryler, and Rio were excited to be going on this trip, even though it meant missing out on the Halloween festivities. They were all dressed in their work clothes, ready for the day ahead. Riley, the oldest of the four, was in charge of driving the truck and trailer, while Rance, Ryler, and Rio helped load the cattle.
As they drove across the Nevada-Utah border, the boys marveled at the stunning views of the mountains and the changing leaves. They had been on this trip before, but it never got old. The ranchers they were working with in Utah were always welcoming, and the boys were eager to help out.
When they arrived at the ranch in Utah, they quickly got to work. There were cows that needed to be rounded up, vaccinations to be given, and feeding to be done. The boys were used to the hard work, but it was tiring, and they were eager to finish up so they could rest.
The work took longer than expected, and by the time they were finished, it was already dark outside. They all climbed back into the truck, exhausted but proud of the work they had done. As they started the long drive back to Nevada, the boys couldn't help but feel a little disappointed about missing Halloween.
But then, they started to reminisce about their previous Halloweens on the ranch. They remembered the times they had dressed up as cowboys and Indians, and the time they had made a pumpkin scarecrow to keep the crows away from the crops. They realized that even though they were missing out on the typical Halloween festivities, they were still celebrating in their own way.
As they drove through the night, the boys sang songs and told stories, keeping each other entertained. They made a pit stop at a convenience store, where they bought some candy and snacks. They even managed to find some Halloween decorations, and they hung them up in the truck cab.
When they finally arrived back at the ranch in Nevada, they were tired but happy. Their dad was grateful for the work they had done, and the boys were proud to have helped out. They didn't need trick-or-treating or costume parties to have a good Halloween. They had each other, and they had the ranch.
As they settled in for the night, the boys reflected on their Halloween adventure. They realized that sometimes, the best celebrations are the ones you create yourself, even if they don't look like the ones in movies or TV shows. They had learned the value of hard work, teamwork, and family. And that, to them, was worth more than any bag of candy.

You and your wife should be awful proud of your boys. They're better at handling cattle than most grown men I know. It's all from the teachers they have and your work ethics. Keep teaching them. There's not a whole lot of great cattlemen left in this world.

"Riley got us all up early..." Not only is Riley an excellent cowboy in the making, but he also understands the value of time! Get there early in case something happens that you need some extra time to handle it. If not, you are done early. Nice job! Loved the trick or treating at ALL three doors!

How many acres at beaver dam wash, I just think it’s info that would be of interest to a lot of folks. Love the videos, my favorite channel, been subscribed for about a year I think. When I see a cattle truck, I always giggle 😆 because I think of my longtime rancher friend who I had known for 20 + years before moving cows with him. My friend is a saint of a human being, long suffering hard working sob, but that day I seen a new side to a old friend 🤣😂 he began to raise his voice ( no big deal) then he spiced his language up and cussed in front of me for the first time 😳 time was of the essence and we had a ton to get done that day so I understood his frustrations . What began with one cuss word transformed into a man who put together some of the most unconventional combinations of cuss words I had to stop and listen In wonder ……. In a pause I mentioned that I had never heard such language from him and I quote he replied “ cows piss me off sometimes “ I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard…. If you only could have been there 🤣 and knew my friend ✌🏼😎 thank you for raising Beef it’s delicious ♥️🇺🇸 love the Halloween that mama made happen 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼

What's the story behind Rope Hog's nickname?
@wgrillojr
@wgrillojr Год назад
Is there a legal duration the cattle can only be held in a trailer? If there were so few cattle loaded do they need walls or bars to keep them from being slammed around during transport on those windy rough country roads? And one last bit of knowledge I wish to learn about live logistics. With a double decker how is the waste prevented from dumping on the unlucky big cutie moo moo's on the bottom row? Does it matter or do you just hose them off after the delivery? Oh and I guess what about any of the waste, it must just drop out of the bottom of the trailer but that sounds like an issue if it disrupts a vehicle behind you. Must be a lot to deal with in transport cause I'm sure what I'm asking isn't even the important worries. Well, Thanks for reading if you got this far and if my questions were answered I greatly appreciate and offer more thanks for your time and for sharing your knowledge.
