I think there’s one where if you stare at an Elite for long enough he’ll say “mandibles aren’t the only thing I’ve four of” and then chuckle to himself. One of the better lines in Halo 5.
When the elite said “take cover unggoy fool” he had such a drain to his voice like he’s been commanding these grunts for ages and they just won’t listen even while being shot at they are being idiots 😂
but jackals became a space faring species and grunts never got that far and they have a proper, functioning society (without cortanas help) and they were higher in the covenant hierarchy.
My Dad Calls Me Dirt Grub McAllister mostly correct although ungoy were in a period of "industrial Revolution" before being enslaved by the covenant and were not far from space travel, as well as being a well organised, working society/societies
Mrturtle 1928 hmm, I thought they were in a `industrial revolution' and then fucked up the atmosphere so they weren't near space travel when the covenant found them.

@@snakeywakey3893 Truth, they're stocky and have an inordinate amount of muscle in the shoulders and forearms - but in a fight the Jackal has a reach and speed advantage - and big fuck-off claws. Hard to decide.
@@cookiesontoast9981 I'm partial to the Aztec-looking skirmishers in Reach - I dig the red coloring and the feathers and the fact that they actually have some prowess outside of being shieldy-bois or campy-birds.
The Grunts in Halo 5 honestly annoy me much more then they make me laugh tbh, even the Halo 4 grunts with their alien gibberish were slightly more enjoyable.

I like the new jackals look, i honestly feel kinda bad for then, without that shield their pretty weak, in fact with it they melee weaker then grunts. The ibie shan sub species is cool, in the one mission with the Guardian you can find a random jackal lying on the floor, i just let it live because it had no gun and wasnt attacking.
I like the skirmishers, like - A LOT. They have almost a regal look to them, in a way, with the feathers and deep red coloring. I wish they'd make a comeback. They'd be a great replacement or brutes and elites in an ODST game. That'd be a more even match, I always figured the only reason you were able to melee brutes to death in that game was due to the way the project manifested and became bigger than they expected it to be, it never seemed 'right' for that game's context.
