They have said that rather than using third party software that will be monitoring all of your information like Battleye, the engine itself will be checking for cheats in a variety of ways. That way people can’t just use one well known strategy to get cheats through the system, and you won’t be forfeiting all of your information just so you can play a damn video game.

Imagine if the driver hopped out mid grapple, the guy who grappled gets in instead of boarding then the original driver steals it. It'd be a pretty sick counter to grapple boys.

I just hope that the grapple doesn’t become something too crazy. There should be like a decent cool down for something like that. Overall though that gameplay looks pretty good.

@@CJsMusicTrumpet the main thing about grapple that balances it is that not everybody will have it. It's equipment so you have to find in on the map to use it. Most maps will probably only have 1 or 2 on them.

@@Snowjob109 Timers. It's same as past games they just have a new visual for it. Weapons that would spawn out in the open field also come in via weapon drop-pods like in past halo campaigns. It's really all just bringing in campaign like stuff for flavor.

I can definitely tell from his voice that Steve Downs is getting older. I honestly think this adds so much to his portrayal as Chief in Infinite. Chief is getting older now and doesn't have as much excitement in his voice. I think this parallels really strongly with Steve Downs too. He's been voicing Chief for 20 years now and you can really imagine how much he's changed and grown just from the sound of his voice. I love it.

When it was first revealed that Halo Infinite MP would be F2P, I assumed the worst. Given the shitty microtransactions of Halo 5, I expected Infinite to use the justification that it’s free to inject even more MTX bullshit into it. But the Battle Pass system they’ve described seems like a fair compromise. Here’s hoping they don’t overreach Edit: After the technical test, I am less confident in the BP model

Purchasing a battle pass that doesn’t expire sounds incredible actually. It’s basically just a mass dlc pack at that rate, and that’s infinitely more economic than what most games do. That’s the only reason I’m ok with halo implementing a battle pass system

I agree. I also like that everything in the Battle Pass can only be earned through playing the game. This should be the way all F2P games with Battle Passes should go. Plus the idea of knowing where you're getting your customization should have STAYED that way in Halo 5. Glad the Req packs are done away with in this game.

Titanfall 2 actually made a pretty big comeback in recent, so it’s relatively popular. I think players on pc peaked at maybe 20k at one point on ps4 it’s holding almost 10-15k and I can’t speak for Xbox. But unfortunately ddos on pc is hindering its popularity on pc

Maybe the saw could be a slower firing assault rifle, but it fired tiny explosive bullets that had a bit of knockback, so you could push enemies around like rag dolls. But in its current state I think the commando looks like a good alternative to it.

@@Tawleyn yeah, they could have given like flashback missions as a member of the blue team and shown their heroic nature ,giving them some character development and make some civil conflict among themselves for finding cortana and each one could have played a part in stopping the last guardian like seamlessly changing the first person camera from one to another. it could have been much better

Pretty sure the ordinance is literally just nicer looking respawn animations that encourage battles to take place since people know they're coming. Although normal spawns like you said, would be a cool option.

Yeah i feel like it should be only for power vehicles like the Scorpion, gauss hog or Banshee. I don't want a constant voice telling me a ghost or a Warthog has been dropped on the base. Feel like 343i only did this to help out new players who aren't used to Halo spawn system, similar to how weapon spawns now have a physical timer on them. Pretty cool

I’m surprised no one has pointed out the small detail of how Chief pulls out the chip. When reaching it first he uses his index finger like the Previous armors he wore, but then immediately switches realizing the new configuration, or perhaps it shows that Chief was likely used too yanking Cortana that way and as a result it was muscle memory.

@@Fi_Sci_ Whatever happens, I truly believe that they should not bring Cortana back as she was. The story needs to move forward and going through the loss would make the whole story more impactful. Imagine that if at some point you'd hear somebody say "Remember Cortana?" and you'd shed a tear because you indeed would remember her. It's the same as when you have a daughter and your wife dies, then the daughter would keep remending you of her.

343 has already said it's not actually open-world, just that there's going to be a couple of different ways to approach certain fights in certain areas in the game, rather than the linear approach in previous games where you're directed exactly where to go and exactly where you engage the enemy.

They likened it to Mombasa Streets in ODST. It sends you to several distinct areas where you tackle missions and are funneled into areas via a linear campaign, though have freedom to not only tackle missions but go where you want. I think they may have a free roam mode which would be pretty dope.

I would be lying if I said my eyes didn't get a bit watery during the campaign trailer. "The missions change, they always do." It brought back memories of that iconic halo dialogue we saw in 1, 2 and 3. The dialogue had weight behind it. Nothing felt forced or generic. I am so hyped.
