Seeing a lot of people doubting this is Legendary difficulty. Well... it is. DeusEXE had a good tip I verified. Use a pulse carbine on his shields, needler on his health. It wrecks him. -Destin twitter.com/DestinLegarie/status/1468742414340804608
Lol it's hilarious these people think they've exposed you, when really they're just outing themselves as worse players. I beat this boss in the same amount of time, maybe even slightly less. Just took me about a dozen deaths in a row, first.
For those struggling- Use a Pulse Carbine to remove his shields, then use the Needler to do heavy damage. First time trying this combo I was able to kill him in about two minutes on Legendary, after about a half-hour of struggling with various tactics.
This is also a good general strategy I think. Use Plasma to pop the Shields, then Kinetic to do real damage. I was able to knock off like 10% of health with one Suoercombine
Now, I'm a fairly calm guy at almost 27, but after an unfathomable number of respawns, I had to rage quit! What made it worse though was that when I reloaded the campaign to try again an hour later, the most recent saved checkpoint was halfway through the mission... Regardless, I powered through again and guess what, I died countless times, punched my desk and curled up to cry. Tomorrow is a new day!
If yall REALLY want a easy way. Remember where he spawns out of the cutscene. Then go grab every coil in the room you can and place them on a pile where he spawns. Then when it starts shoot the pile. SHould bring him down to about 1/2-3/4 health through his shield. Then 2-3 skewers or needler and its over. If you dont wanna do this 2min stuff this strat is about 15 secs.
Tips: He only shoots 4 grenade rounds then stops. If he's in the air about to do a ground pound, get out of his line of site otherwise its 99% an instant kill Pulse Carbine and Needler are your best friend. Use downstairs to lure the Jackals away and kill before handling Biggie Smalls Use upstairs for biggie smalls. There's enough columns in the way that it will confuse his AI and he'll be less likely to do a ground pound Kite the elevator to distract him 3 Grenade gun hits and youre dead, once the first hits, go for cover Your shields recharge just a fraction faster than his, wait for yours to fully recharge before re-engaging if his are broken Use grenades, and Environmental explosives to keep his shields from recharging (Another reason upstairs is your friend)
My strat after dying a bunch was insta nade spam the jackals, you can kill them both in the elevator before they leave. Then for Notorious I abused his ai at a pillar and stuck (spiked) him twice as I peaked him. This basically removes shields, then it was Skewer till death
The worst part of this fight is the hydra he has, it just 3 taps you and it's incredibly hard to dodge and he fires it way faster than the player can fire it. He can kill you in less than a second it's just Jackal snipers all over again but this time they have way more health and a jetpack.
@@allrequiredfields If you don't upgrade the shield core he'll do that to ya. Or maybe you're getting shot by the bulldog, that will 2 shot you. Don't worry this fight isn't too difficult, the spartan hunters later in the game on legendary are just stupid though. It took me a solid hour to beat them.
@@michaeljcaboose1152 you cant upgrade your shield yet. You cant do that until after foundation when you find your first core at the start of mission 3.
I died 20 times then I figured it out. when you start turn directly around, run and grab the pulse carbine then drop down to the lower level and wait right below the upper platform. he’ll drop down in about 7-8 seconds, as soon as he does stick him and shoot him at the same time, you want to have 2 plasma grenades and 2 spike grenades if possible, you should try to land at least 3 of the 4. just keep peppering him against the wall and he should be dead in 15-20 seconds. I did this several times in a row and sometimes the jackals didn’t even drop down, they stayed up top and made it a lot easier
Wow is Tremonius a pain to deal with on Legendary! After at least 30 deaths, I finally got him by removing shields with the stalker rifle, then throwing grenades + Skewer from extremely long range.
For those of you who ran in on legendary blind; Use the plasma rifle on one of the deployments to take down shields, and use needler to damage him after his shields are down. Those 2 weapon are the only way to be able to shoot fast enough to not get 3 shot.
This isnt Legendary, jackals missed shots, shields broke in 3 hits, hydra only did 1/2 shield when on legendary it does like 7/8's so its a 2 hit. And he does a stomp on you out the gate damn near killing you if you arent fast enough.
@@CameronPhillips23 stfu your so stupid. i beat this boss at legendary under one minute. your just mad because you cant do it. he did on legendary i know because i play legendary too. stfu next time when you dont know what you talking about
@@bestway6032 Someones ego was hurt, why you projecting your insecurities so hard. OmG I pLaY oN lEgEndAry TOoo DoNt SAy I doNt. Someone looks to be switching difficulties on a boss fight x.x
On my legendary playthrough, this was the boss fight I ironically had the hardest time fighting against. I managed to kill the spartan killers without dying yet died to this dude like 30 times. When I finally beat him, my Halo Infinite crashed, so I had to do it all over again.
I stacked like 7 fusion coils where the fight starts, immediately shot the coils, skewered him to stun, threw two plasma nades and then finished him with a mangler 😂
dude i died like 20x to the boss and i feel like the game just gave me the win becuase i headshotted him with mangler with half health and he died??? i feel like the game felt sorry for me lol
I grinded tremonius for almost an hour and a half. best way to beat him is grappleshot him immedietly, spam the button for it on the load menu since youll spawn facing him, he will cower instead of leaping at you, you can turn mid air and plasma grenade the jackals, run over to them and finish them off while hes in his cowering animation, and then the best way ive found to actually kill him is to grappleshot him over and over, stay in melee range, dodge his melee attacks and hit him with the mauler over and over, he takes extra damage when he gets hit in the back, and i *think* he takes extra extra damage from being hit in the jetpack, because it starts flaming when you hit it a few times (i dont think you can make it explode though). grapple away when he goes to ground pound, and repeat. if you catch him in the hallway to the downstairs area he cant even ground pound so you can basically run in circles around him meleeing, just dont get caught by his melee attacks because its a three shot, and even one will repel you backwords allowing him to one tap you with the shotgun or hydra. Also, if he is flying at you to ground pound, you can grapple him midair and you will collide in a melee and barely take damage from him instead of instantly dying. I honestly was thinking the legendary for the campaign was alittle too easy until i ran into him, I hadnt died once until i probably died 50 times to him alone.
I set explosive containers by the elevator to prepare for the jackals, exploded them to kill them instantly, For Tremonious if you grapple him he staggers and stays in the same spot, you can stick him with two plasma nades and it takes his shields and a good chunk of his health, you can then use the disruptor to whittle down his health since it gives him constant damage even after you stop shooting, lowering his health and keeping his shields from coming back.
Nah, I beat him on legendary in about the same amount of time or less. I also died about a dozen times, before my success. I killed both jackals immediately with two spike grenades, ran to get a pulse carbine, shredded his shields while doing the same dance around the elevator lift that the player in this video did, and shot him with 4 to 5 skewer shots.
The worst part of this is how big the AOE and hit boxes are for the explosion shots that don’t do reduced damage even if you’re far from the actual explosion
I just trapped him in one of the hallways, underneath, and then unloaded on him with grenades + "that spike shot thing". He can't maneuver there, it was fish in a barrel.
I used a Skewer to remove his shield and get him down to 50% health (3 shots in total) and then finished him off with a Disruptor and it worked an absolute treat!
Do not use pulse carbine or needler or any other crap ya tactics. Keep a skewer and a shock pistol, 2 plasma grenades and 2 spike gerenades. As he launches back up at an angle so his slam doesn’t damage you, keep a close distance as he lands in front of you stick him with a plasma.. as he’s stunned stickem again, then stickem with the spike grenades then no scope a skewer shot in the chest and chip the itty bit of health left. And mow the last two enemies. And you’re done 🤷♂️it’s not that difficult
Weird. On my legendary play through if he lands that close with the rocket punch it one shots me. And he almodt NEVER misses a body shot with the launcher. Only sometimes when I'm using the grappleshot. This was way too much of a stand your ground fight to be legendary. It's like he has x-ray vision and when I pop my head out to fire a couple of shots he already has his launcher pointed there and hits me. Dude is frustrating as fuck. I got him to half health using pulse carbine and skewer, but no further
stfu your so stupid. i beat this boss at legendary under one minute. your just mad because you cant do it. he did on legendary i know because i play legendary too. stfu next time when you dont know what you talking about
@@bestway6032 is this seriously your response to anyone who questions if this was on Legendary? seems kind of suspect if you go out of your way to copy paste this all over the place...
As a first boss, no hydra please and the initial placement when u start the boss fight it was terrible I keep getting shot in middle air trying to get away
I had to reload the save so I could start a few checkpoints earlier, I was just f'd with no spike gun. I've been at this since last night and finally just went to bed demoralized. Reloading the game starts you off on the floor so if you don't have the turret with you...at least have the spike gun going into the fight. I went int the fight with a spike gun and and turret I had ripped out on the floor below (before your elevator ride up). I placed some canisters in the hall downstairs for extra damage when I tossed a grenade at him. I managed to beat him legendary after only a few attempts once I took the right weapon into the fight. Once his shields are depleted its just a few spikes to the face. In the end, I dragged him into the tunnel below and maneuvered him into the pillars by the force field. This clipped his ability to move around much and a few spikes later he was down. Pulse Carbine for sure is a plan B for the shields, not so sure about needler as you have to get pretty close. But the spike cannon...yes that is Big Dick DPS. I think this boss fight was the early gut check for those worthy of legendary. *edit: You really do have to suck it up and keep pressure on him, your shields recharge just a wee bit faster than his and that's the only way to keep the fight from dragging on. The longer you fight the more chance for mistakes. It should be a quick 2min fight tops.
This is not legendary difficulty! Fly smash to the ground is a shot kill movement - You 2 shotting the field npcs with rifle but them to be knocked is another hint that its not legendary. Running in the open, and with the boss behind you for so long and not being jumped on, rocketed is also not legendary.
I was struggling for a bit with this guy but the way I beat him is to use the plasma pistol against his shields and needler for his health. Plasma pistol is great because you can charge it up while in cover and quickly peek and shoot. I think it takes like 3 fully charged shots for his shield to go down. After that just spray him with needles until they explode. Take cover after each explosion or just keep spraying if confident. Also keep jumping and using the grapple to move around to make yourself harder to hit. Something I didn’t know you could do is grapple at him as it stuns him for a bit. You can do that and throw some grenades to distract him to give time for your shields to charge up when down.
this is not legendary. if you've played against this boss you would know that you cannot kill the jackals with 1 melee hit and you CANNOT burn down his armorless health that fast with a plasma pistol
It took me about 20 min on my successful attempt on legendary. Couldent count how many unsuccessful attempts looool Defently an awesome start to the campaign.
I am with everyone else. No way that was on Legendary. He took a few hits that have killed me 30 times probably now. In fact any direct hit from that rocket and his follow up shot (even if not direct) and I am toast. I am going to try the trick of stacking up the materials to blow him to smithereens.
I don’t normally like or comment on RU-vid videos, but imma gonna like this one, just to counteract the muppets who think a Games Journalist, who plays games for a living, is not capable of defeating a boss on Legendary, it’s absurd.
I honestly had the best luck getting up close and personal with this guy. After taking out the jackals, baiting a ground slam and getting him caught on the corner of a structure will stop him just short of murdering you. I used the opportunity to stick him, then beat him to death while strafing, sticking him whenever I got the chance (might have been only once, to deliver the killing blow). Bonus points if you've stripped his overshield with a plasma pistol before hand. He has a bulldog and a hydra if I recall correctly, which mean neither of those will do increased melee damage to you, and it feels like his punches have significantly less range than the other brutes because of it. Plus if you're close enough to bait melees, he wont be using either of those weapons on you. Just dont try it on any of the other bosses lol. Trying the same thing against Bassus was uh... not my brightest idea lol
I must have tried about 30 times before beating him. I eventually managed by hitting him with a charged plasma pistol as soon as he jumps, then quickly sticking him with all my grenades, a blue fuel core and using the plasma carbine. I found this worked better for me than evading him initially and taking out the jackals first.
I can run a dodge and everything, but it takes too long to get his shield down that I either need to run as soon as their down and let him recharge or I die
This boss battle kicked my ass for a solid 2 hours Use The pulse carbine to strip his shield and needler to take down his health while dancing around cover but keeping close enough he doesn't use his hydra.
As a 27 yr old halo vet.. this was definitely just as hard or HARDER then all the other halos. Not the boss fight but the whole game in general. Halo 2 was toughest I think
Been trying for hours. Shits impossible Update: 3 hours later I got him. Used the plasma carbine, drop down into the lower area, then ran backwards, dodging his shots and throwing grenades.
3PP charges and a full skewer = Dead. Move boxes infront of jackals = easier escape at start. Move 2-3 large crates into a hallway downstairs and Tremonius can't chase, can be kited to kill and most importantly, can't ground pound.
Fight was hard af but I eventually beat him with the pulse rifle and sticking him after he lands from a charge, kiting around the pillar. I also don't understand the complaints that this video isn't in legendary because he isn't dying in two shots? I did not die in two shots either. Maybe 3-4. Would take cover after the first shot connected always.
I think I’m officially giving up on this game after this boss. Makes me wanna shot myself in the face multiple times in multiple different ways. Makes it look so easy and this dude just aimbots me from across the map every time… I BEAT HIM!!!! After 3 days and 30 deaths later!!!!
Just defeated him at the 100th attempt.. my best advise is get him cornered in the underpass and attack him with grenades and the energy cube things to break his shield and then keep firing at him when you can 👍
Tried for about 2 hours finally managed to kill him but he killed me at the same time got the achievement but when it restarted I have to fight him again and the control panel for the lift is illuminated again 😑😑😑😑
Same exact thing happened to me.. at least I had confidence on how to do it.. getting him into the hallways underneath was a huge help to have grenades actually be useful. Idk how these guys stuck him without being underneath
Im man enough to admit I brought it down one difficulty cause honestly after dying over hundreds of times... I did not want to deal with this shit for other bosses coming my way. Leave that to the pros... I just want to enjoy the game. And when i beat Tremonius, oh boy..... that man got teabagged for almost 5 minutes after screaming "SHOW ME YOUR FUCKIN COURAGE" and "NO ESCAPE YOU FUCK" and damn that was very amusing
Keep the face took me a good 1hr 30. In your first move go to the level below to trap him so he cannot jumpack you. Pick up the mangler and then smash him with that grenades and a needler
