@@Steve_-ih6cz This is a running joke with Lando and his old engineer Jarv, who moved over to Indy car this year. Homage to Jarv with his new race engineer.
The way Lando's engineer has been guiding him, it only shows how important every single member of the entire team is to bring home a good result every weekend.
@@VincentFischer Because in the end, he's the one who has to steer the car perfectly at 200mph through Blanchimont 44 times in a row to complete a race. Everybody plays their part, but I assure you, put me or you in that car, and even with all those engineers telling us what to do, we'd qualify behind Latifi.
Kimi: 2017: no gloves & steering wheel 2018: no drink & power 2019: No wheels & front wing 2020: No wheels & engineer Edit: The only thing we hope is never to have: No seat.
@@firebro387 No one used hard tyre except Norris. ..and the way the engineer said it made Norris laughed a little since "hard on" means having an erection.
@@firebro387 i think it was a nod back when Lando called his engineer about a race strategy for upcoming sim race. And they're talking about getting "a hard on" in the middle of the race
@@robertphillips360 HIS DADDY IS LAWRENCE STROLL...HE WONT GET A PENALTY CUZ EVERYONE KNOWS IF HIS DADDY DIDNT BUY A TEAM HE WOULDNT HAVE A SEAT AND WOULD NEVERR BE IN F1 EVER AGAIN
Vettel: Someone hit me I don't know who Leclerc: Someone hit me I don't know who Both of them seeing each other in the garage: *surprised pikachu face*
@@manjunathdanavadi3573 They are allowed any modifications necessary to fit the engine, but they don't get the two 'development tokens' that the other teams get to make changes to locked parts during the season
@@hargrimza1310 you guys are worrying me don't fuck with my McLaren guys. I am already hyped we can't go back if they made a mistake I will be so pissed of.
@@manjunathdanavadi3573 as far as I'm aware the merc engine is packaged "tighter" (for want of a better word) than the Renault, aero packaging would need to change but I highly doubt it would negatively affect the car! Especially as it would allow for a better coke bottle affect should they wish to do so
And he just came back on the circuit like an idiot. Stroll drove fine before that, Danny Ric defended marvelously. Surprised how he gets no penalty when Danny did all the work to avoid a big accident. Thankfully Lando got in front of stupid lance stroll.
@@DarthMagister Thats the point, he got no penalty because Danny avoided the accident. If he enforced the line that was rightfully his and they both crashed out, then Lance would have gotten a penalty. Its so dumb.
@@Chuckiele he should get a penalty not for creating an accident, but for overtaking off the track and forcing another driver off the track, he did both
@@xaviercharles9616 You dont have to convince me, Im completely with you on that, you gotta convince the stewards that their way of judging almost-accidents is fucking stupid. When being dive-bombed, your only choice right now is to either enforce your line and risk getting crashed out or giving away your position and hope you can get it back later, because the stewards arent gonna do shit.
@@tsf1119 I know right ? Its like people are asking for boring races for chirst sake.... I prefer a botched overtake that was attempted than a driver staying behind like a chicken....
@@tf9822 No one is saying you can't have a go. But if you have a go and it's illegal than you should be punished for it. Simple as that. If Ricciardo turned in, it would have been a collision and he would have got 0 points. Strolls move was stupid and reckless
Kimi: You forgot to tell me the lap.. Engineer: Yes confirmed Kimi: Is the lap.. Is it the last lap now?.. Ok i have no idea Engineer: We forgot the lap Kimi, you will not know the lap, sorry..
Depends on the race. If they aren’t in a position to overtake, they don’t say much. The last two races, Lando’s engineer has said a lot because they were really pushing the car to its limits and the engineer knows exactly how hard they can push the engine without causing a failure.
What's even crazier is this info is cut down from what it used to be. As in telling them certain engine settings, brake bias, fuel settings, etc. for ever corner of the race. They banned certain communication several years ago but have since allowed most of it back again (not sure if there are currently restrictions).
You should watch the whole race from onboard of one of the drivers if You like it. Ok, some of them talk more and some less but still, its cool to listen. For me its fascinating how many times in the race drivers change stuff on the steering wheel
The new culture at McLaren is paying dividends, making "hard on" jokes over the team radio would have never happened during the Ron Dennis era. Lando and Dan Ric next year will be a barrel of laughs, hopefully McLaren continues to progress forward be back at their glory days.
I love how Checo came back with "Did you like that?" Few years back he also said "Do you like my pace, do you like it?" He just loves getting affirmation from his engineer.
So Leclerc knows he has damage, but still has to ask 3 times to get any sort of answer. What is with Ferrari's pit engineers? I've noticed similar interactions for the past few years.
Johnny because he said it himself he wanted to finish the race and was impatient to find out. Idiot?? I’d like to see you try driving around with damage.
Maybe he would say " We don't know, keep pushing while we confirm" or "Just stop" but .... we don't know without any further instructions in the middle of a race where even 1 second counts is a bit here and there.
Even if they dont give him a penalty for pushing him off the track, they should at least give Danny back the position as he was off the track himself and thus it shouldnt be a legal overtake.
Red Bull might have insisted Renault to protest against Racing Point, and if they are successful maybe they will ditch Honda engines and go back with Renault engines.🤣
this a lie man . they actually be real happy towards the radio to him as good as hamilton .it is just because hamilton in a legends level so u can something different .but actually the team has no politics .they are treating the guys the same
@@fedeeeeee Nope. Unlike Ferrari, Mercedes does not write whos #1 and whos #2 into the drivers contracts, they are equal but the one whos ahead in quali and after the race start gets prioritized.
Mercedes have the best car, no one can compete with it. Hamilton winning by 10 seconds isn't all driver. He's good but the car is just superior to the rest of the pack. You could bet on Hamilton now and your money would be safe.
Batam Daily Life not 1.8 seconds ahead mate...I mean a good car can get u pole....but not that big a gap at some point you ppl have to give him credit....oh btw I am Charles fan
I love daniel. he felt really bad for crashing because he wanted to deliver for his team and you could hear the sadness in his voice, he’s a great soul and he continues to be my fav driver
I'm a AMG/Hamilton fan, i'm so happy for the boys and the team working so well. Also so damn happy for Norris and Mclaren, for everything they've been through and to see them rising once again with so many good people behind it and it's fantastic to see them having so much fun, "Cheers mate".
1:36 “Nobody has hard on” Lando almost pissing his pants from laughter and struggling not to spit out the obvious joke. Then giggles “ha, cheers”. Giggity. 😂😂😂
that was a super fun video. We know Bono and lewis have a great relationship. But that lad Lando, and his race engineer, they are forming a really good pairing. Same as last week, every button press and mode called out calmly and let Lando do his thing. Great to watch.
Grosjean: Spins alone and blames Ericson Everybody else: What a tool Leclerc: Divebombs Vettel, takes off his rearwing and blames it on a ghost Everybody else: Not a fanboy, just passionate
Its the imperial golden boy. We have to keep him safe at all cost so he can trundle around in P7 for the next five years and justify that he doesn't crack under pressure like his four time champion teammate.
@@MrCensury I know, my point is that Charles never gets shit from the press and from Ferrari, no matter what. If he says that the car is a tractor he is only being honest, but if Vettel says the same he is a disgrace and washed out
