Ali ,we were so blessed to have him entertaining us in so many ways, he's one human that is so great and so talented and so inspiring that he won't ever be forgotten! At least he came up in the era of motion pictures being ubiquitously used everywhere cuz alot of his greatness might have been missed for alot of us, Sugar Ray Robinsons career prime was not captured on film and alot of us missed it and it's a damn shame, but if we would have missed Ali's prime along with his celebrity it would have been a tragedy for the world! If any boxer was bigger than boxing it was Muhammed Ali!
Ali respected Cosell because Cosell could be blunt and direct with not a hint of maliciousness when he interviewed Ali. Ali respected that Cosell was never patronizing, that Cosell recognized Ali's "brilliance" notwithstanding Ali's "lack" of an advanced formal education.

I won't go into a long diatribe but MJ would never be a transcendent athlete off the court; actually he was a ''Coward'' when it came to speaking up or out when talking about marginalized ppl, police brutality, disenfranchised blk communities, or kids dying in the streets for his shoes...And the things he's doing now is too little too late, and the reason he's doing it now in my opinion is b/c Lebron has been doing it his whole NBA career. Man , I grew up on Ali, and I was with him from the jump and I turned on him in the late seventies because I wanted him to retire after he beat Foreman with his mystic in tact, so he would remain the "Greatest" ,because he was taking too many punches and that concerned me. I for one dont buy the parkinsons disease, I feel he took way too mant blows to the head in his later years as I feared, and "they" stole our champion. I couldnt bear to watch him shaking in the company of those who tried to destroy him, yet i believe that Howard Cosell really loved the man, and I love this video, ....it always brings me to tears.
I think the Parkinson's was real, BUT taking too many punches excellarated it tremendously, also I think him being so generous with his money might have had something to do with why he kept fighting, but I think the big reason was personal pride, i mean do we know the first thing about being the GREATEST OF ALL TIME? When you are it must be the most crushing defeat of all time to wake-up one day and you can't do it anymore no matter how much you want to, and it would take some awful beatings to make you realize it for yourself no matter what anyone told you, even a doctor.
