I remember when recovery vehicles didnt need to be registered and were run on trade plates. I must be getting old. Last time i wentbto Cadwell was in the late 80's on my CB750 four K2. We used to ride our bikes to our posts, used to "accidentally" overshoot a couple of times and have to go around again. Keep up the good work and all the best for a good 2024.
I used to live just down the road from Cadwell. Top tip here: if you're too embarrassed to climb up that hill, just take a left before Scamblesby, go through Asterby and after the sharp bend at Stenigot, take a right up Hall lane. This road is not very steep, but it will get you at the top of Red Hill (a shorter road, but too steep for Ronnie) , Turn left, and the up to the Bluestone Heath Road. That takes to right in front of Cadwell park. The Bluestone Heath road is one fun road to drive, if you are in that area.
Happy New Year Lots of “recovery” drivers think they don’t need an MoT because of the loop hole then use the truck for transporting or collecting lunch and void the loop hole 😂
I didn't have a new year's resolution regarding buying of motorbikes as I don't buy that much....until my bike engine fell through the garage bench 🤦 now I need more parts 😢
My neck of the woods that, about 5 miles from the garage I work at. The hill is Cawkwell hill and its a beast. Our old iveco daily recovery truck used to be doing about 15mph by the top 😂
I love my smile face ford transits I did have a 2.3 petrol lpg transit. But sadly I had to say goodbye to her😢. Because I live in the ulez area .but can't wait to see your v8 transit up and running. Hope all goes well for you this 2024

Happy new year, the video was a bit of memory lane for me, kenwick hill where the van was I used to live down the road,been to Tattersall lakes ,and that nightmare hill near Cadwell the Mrs used to do in her Corsa at about 20mph when she worked in horncastle 😂.
I couldn't stop spending money on motorbikes or motorbike parts 😂 that's a massive ask 😮 my New year's resolution if you can call it that is to buy my first home this year 😁
I owned a Recovery business which i sold around 9 years ago mostly 2 car Recovery trucks, They went to Vosa every year for Mot, back then the rules i understood was if a vehicle sat on the back of you're truck it needed an Mot, if it was Speclift only and over 3.5 tons it was genuine MOT exempt but that was over 9 years ago, the other thing i'm confused with is that you never sit in a vehicle when winching it on back of your truck which to me seem abit dangerous if the winch wire snaps the whole idea of a remote is so you can sit in vehicle while winching,
Hi mate, thanks for the comment. I appreciate what you're saying, so for context. I'm always aware of what's behind me, if there was any risk of the vehicle hitting something then I will sit in it. Likewise if it's a heavy beast I'll sit in it until all 4 wheels are on the bed. When you regularly winch people out of fields where the line has to be doubled or tripled you get to know it well, and trust it. Simply pulling these onto the bed when they roll and steer is very minimal risk of the line snapping. I replace everything annually and ALWAYS over purchase on breaking capacity. I get what you're saying but there is no ignorance in anything I do, I calculate risk and dynamically adapt as I go, so if I think there is a heightened risk, i'll jump in.

The place you picked the transit up from looked like Kenwick park, if you went further down the drive in front of you there is some Scandinavian style lodges down there, very nice setting. I know, Cadwell park very but then I'm ex Cadwell security and yes, that hill is a pain in the but I used to do it with the 24 foot caravan hung on the end of a land rover discovery, so yeah, I know it well.

Yeah I did the deleting thing went through my list and took off all people who have done me bad everyone who is two faced. People who are friends with people who I don't like and don't speak to anyway. And people who just ponce off you ponce ponce ponce ponce you know what I mean. So I was left with about 7 people. So I joined loads of company profiles so it didn't look so bad 😂😂 The rest of the people are family so I can't delete them. Shame but 😊 Another great video. Happy new year mate 👊 no new year resolution for me, gave up on them years ago. My Peugeot has a loose drive shaft, seized caliper (pads just hit metal) and randomly dumps it's water, sometimes after it's been parked for an hour 🤔 all in 3 days. These 3 days came after I realised I need a cambelt 😭 I hope this makes you feel better about your air leak 😂😂 I can't afford to fix mine. Still, you got to laugh 🤣😂. I went round Caldwell about 28 years ago 😮 shit that was a long time ago. All I remember really was the brow of a hill that you rolled from right to left over (be other way round knowing my memory) and my stomach churning each time I did it. Still got that feeling in my water 👊😘

Happy new year to you and your family . Excellent job on the green lane work . Memories like that last forever to a youngster I remember off reading when I was about 12 on some derelict land awsome. So lots of questions to answer , Cadwell Park Awsome track went around it in 2012 at EDC drift championship in a nissan s14 with a 2jz fitted and monster turbo great laugh and awsome drops and corners .. And yes not a bike but for a narrow track in a car going sideways it get the blood flowing I can tell you .. New year's resolution hmm I don't know about 5 km a day I think that would finish me off lol but I have quit drinking and Em and I are back training Monday so going to pack on a few pounds in size I used to be 23 stone at my biggest im hovering at 19 stone at the min but I will see where it takes me Em says not to try and lift what I used to just take it easy but be interesting to see what will happen being a few years older... Good point out on the brake pipes on transit rear beam I see many flattened from people winching badly . All the best for the new year exciting times for you to be had . Son didn't drive on the green lane, we went to private land, which is why I made a point of putting big writing to explain it was my daughters boyfriend who is on my motor trade policy that was driving in the clip. Thanks for the comment though 👍
