In terms of story, the Bladewolf DLC is even better than the Sam DLC. If you didn't already love Wolfy, you will at the end of his'. Also, no spoilers, but Wolfey's actually has a new, unique bossfight, so it's worth playing for that alone.

I like to see people play games similar to Revengeance, so games like Asura's Wrath, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta are games that I'd love to see you play

To be fair tho, in the final battle with Armstrong in the dlc the Song playing is collective consciosness, same as the MG Exceslus, wich actually makes sense if you read the lyrics

What I got from the DLC was that Sam believed in strength most. Hence when he gets his ass wooped by Armstrong, he gives up, he starts believing that you cant beat the dude on top. But when Raiden showed up and started doing what Sam was doing, it ignited the spark that he once had. Sadly, as the lyrics of his song say, he was already lost, knowing only battle. Hence the only way his life would end would be by someone else's blade. And in his final moments, he knew that Raiden will do what he couldn't. Rise above those at the top trough nothing but sheer force of will.

I like how Sam deliberately cuts off Armstrong's right hand. It's the one furthest from his heart, giving Sam enough time to cut before it hardens. I think details like those are awesome. EDIT: Also yes, Wolf's DLC is *ABSOLUTELY* worth playing. The track for its end-boss slaps so hard, it's aguably my favorite track in the game.

Playing DLC on revengeance difficulty, only got 3 nanopaste. He gets enraged as soon as you start the fight. It took me 3 days to be able to beat him. Definition of rewarding.

Played this on Revengeance. It was not funny. But satisfying once I won, nonetheless.

The 2nd DLC is definitely worth a shot, not as good as this one I'd say, but fleshes out wolfs character a bit more. It's also a bit harder than this dlc in some places, but is another pretty short experience so worth trying. I'd love to see you play it personally

the blade wolf dlc is kinda sad but its realy good, it just explains his motivation, also it more like a stealth dlc beacuse he cant do big fights against a lot of people the dlcs make you play the game in a different way from the main game its not very long but its worth checking out for sure

Bladewolf is definitely worth doing. Admittedly, I don't think it's as good as Sam's overall, but it's still fun and adds a bit more to the story. Plus, it has a new song, "The Hot Wind Blowing", which, just like every other song in this game, is kind of amazing.

Day 2 of trying to play Nier:Automata again I have to break my 65 Day streak for OFF in order to see Myth play Nier again. I'll keep continuing this one even the Nier:Replicant Remaster comes out.

I'd personally recommend checking out the Blade Wolf DLC. It's quite interesting, and it has a different gameplay style, although it may take some adjusting to. It also has a brand new boss with a kick-ass new theme. If this is the end of MGR:R on the channel though, I just want to say it was a blast to follow your journey through this game, it being one of my favourites and all. Keep it up Myth, looking forward to more good stuff in the future!

Bladewolf DLC has a new boss with unique and very cool OST. Also lore is very good.

Fun fact: Kojima said, in an interview, that Sam was ACTUALLY CAPABLE of defeating Armstrong, if only he took his time and dragged the fight until Armstrong's nanomachines ran out of power (which, if you think about it, was exactly how Raiden did it, even if it wasn't his plan), but that Sam was impatient and tried to end the fight quickly.

remember fighting this dude with raiden and I was inches away from restarting the game on easy mode cause I could not for the life of me beat Anderson. the man seemed impossible, and after hundreds of game overs I finally thought of a strategy that involved slashing him and running for my life before he can hit me, and eventually I finally beat the man. it was a cheap strategy but I got the job done and beat the game, and thats all I wanted.

Mythy i wish you would remember sams vital mechanic the taunt sure it makes the enemies harder but its crucial on the higher difficulties to pass through difficult sections

Even if you dont want to play the Bladewolf dlc, you can play the one boss fight it has in the boss select menu.

Dodged a huge bullet by not doing that VR mission at the beginning of the video

In Revengeance mode (unlocked after clearing very hard) you have to survive Armstrong's second phase (where you only use your fists) for like 2-3 minutes. Considering everything he does instakills you (and he sometimes aimbots the shit out of you), good fucking luck if you dont have any nanopaste before that fight. Though I did beat revengeance mode without using nanopaste at all, I wouldn't recommend it for your sanity. Besides that, I would almost consider Very Hard to be more difficult than Revengeance, at least for bosses. For whatever reason (probs something to do with how amplified damage is between the two difficulties), getting a perfect parry on a boss in Revengeance basically half-hits or outright one shots the boss. Considering you have to play the game twice before that to reach this difficultly, you probably have a good idea on boss timings at that point (Monsoon would be awful though if you couldn't cancel his dodging phase with emp grenades) and it's likely fights will last longer on VH than R, meaning more opportunities for you to die. But I suppose I've made this comment a bit long. I do love this game so I can't help but ramble on about it. So have a good day, my dudes.

If you want more Mistral, then yes, Bladewolf's DLC is very much worth playing. It's also more stealth oriented versus Jetstream Sam's being more action packed. But Mistral's armchair alone sold me on the Bladewolf DLC.

Sam's dlc takes place 2 years before the main game .....it is mentiond via in-game codecs that he trained in his fathers dojo in jujitsu and japanese sword fighting .....his father was killed by a fellow student who was part of a cartel ...so Sam went to the cartel ..and almost wiped them out (10 men with assault rifles ..and he with his Sword ...without any enhancements) ..after his revenge he became a mercenary fighting for his ideals and got his blade High frequency treated .....truly a Big Badass
