The Harley Peashooter debuted in 1926. The 350cc machine was a racing favorite and garnered its name from the “pop pop” sound of the motor. Today on #DriveForHistory we highlight some of our favorites in the WTT Peashooter exhibit.
Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum, located in Maggie Valley, NC, features over 375 American motorcycles, unique cars, and transportation history.

not only is this museum got so many amazing rides it's really great looking using the ruff wood all over to set the feeling of board tracks..well done guys..as soon as I finish my customs harley Frankenstein flathead im taking it on the road to visit you guys when we are free to do that. thanks for doing these videos.

Not strange at all. Perfectly normal. Ride safe my friend. I commented cause Harleys been part of my life since i lil. Before it was "cool". Hearing a Harley brings back memories of my youth to my kids loving Harleys. If u enjoy this channel. U know exactly what i mean. 👍

This is so kool ..Back in the early 80s I met a guy who had a huge stash of harleys and parts ..van trailers full of complete motors and parts . He would sell some stuff for cash but he cared more about his stuff than he did about money . I was just a wanna be with a sportster and didnt even realize what I was seeing. I do know I saw two complete 1920s harleys because he told me thats what they were . The pans and Knuckles I knew when I saw them . Then the trailers were full of motors and parts and some still in crates ...I imagine that guy must have retired off of that collection or his family sold it off . It was a great thing to see ..So enjoy the Wheels through time and the dedication they have to keeping this alive for all of us .

So many cool bikes there. I don’t know if they’re open with this pandemic but if anybody has an interest in old bikes like this you should go. I’ve been there and it’s like no place else. So many rare bikes and almost all run. You’re walking through there and they’ll fire one up. It’s really great. I’m definitely going again.

Love your museum and collection as well as documented histories and ephemera. This is surely a priceless collection. I plan on visiting your "Wheels Through Time" museum soon. I PRAY TO GOD THAT YOUR BUILDING HAS A STATE OF THE ART FIRE DETECTION/SUPPRESSION SYSTEM/ AND MANY TYPES OF SURVEILLANCE AND ANTI-THEFT ELECTRONICS AS WELL. HOPEFULLY, YOUR STAFF IS WELL TRAINED TO PRACTICE ANTI-FIRE SAFETY AS WELL. YEARS AGO A BRITISH MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM WITH VERY RARE AND ONE OFFS ON DISPLAY CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED DOWN - NEARLY WIPING OUT THE ENTIRE COLLECTION OF HUNDREDS OF GORGEOUS MARQUES. IT WAS CONSIDERED A NATIONAL TRAVESTY. VERY SAD TO BE SURE. KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL WORK - I LOVE IT ALL.

I have been to your museum a couple of times and hated to leave both times your one off bikes amazed me, met your Dad while there and chatted a bit he lives what he does. But I see that you love the bikes also. I would like to see the bike that was found in the wall after WW1 showcases and run!

Wow I did not know that these bikes existed I do not know much about Harley although wow what a great collection I have been to Abilene many times I lived in Houston for 20 some odd years that whole town is mile after mile after mile of junk yards who knows what is hiding out there maybe worth a look

Maybe one of these episodes you can talk to people about the different fuels that they used it was not methanol it was ethanol and gasoline was not cracked yet are the higher octane rating so moonshine was the best

Hi , would you please talk about the bar / peg that is about level with the bottom of the gas tank on some of those speedway bikes . A old speedway racer was talking about it , he said you would put your knee on top of it when sliding in a corner . Maybe you could give us a demonstration . Thanks .

My first was a , 1956 CZ/Jawa. ,,it killed the ,"dirt bikes" in 1967. torque and power. hill climbing.

The bikes like this that Harley has to tour around the country r cool like these but they don't tell all the history. Fender and Gibson (yes of guitar fame) make lots of money off tribute or reissue models that are all playable. I wonder if Harley considered such a thing but for collectors and possibly a race series featuring only models like these. Would be sort of a stock race like nascar does. Possibly could do an iroc type of series race. Or even a competitive type race if other manufacturers were interested.

You said it was modified from A350 to a 500 CC to compete in that class, Back then how would they know if it wasn't a 500cc Disguised as a 350? Lol Or was that pretty much the norm back then,thanks
